We had the most wonderful time at south beach! Beautiful condo just as described! Weather was beautiful, only rained our first night while unpacking. Staff was friendly! Beach was beautiful! Storm week before had pushes alot of seaweed up but was clear within a couple days. We visited clearwater aquarium, florida aquarium, and did the captain memo pirate cruise. Kids loved all attractions! Thanks for sharing your condo with us! If you have kids traveling with you do recommend renting a buggy to pull stuff to beach with you!

excellent beachfront condo

My wife and I so enjoyed our stay in Treasure Island. It was our first time to the area. The condo was excellent, nicely appointed and very updated. Everything you need was provided including beach chairs. View was outstanding and sunsets were breathtaking. Kathy was very helpful with info about condo and the area, excellent location, short walk to restaurant's, publix, and beach. We would highly recommend staying at south beach condo and look forward to returning soon. Thanks so much!!

Always a Pleasure

This is our fifth reservation of this property. Always a pleasure to stay there. Got in a bit early and was pleasantly surprized when they checked us in early. Room was as always spotless. Love the view and the cabana rental available on the beach. Noticed upgrades on the facilty with paint and furniture. Also the pathway outside that runs along the ocean was widenend and relit. So nice to be able to walk to Sloppy Joes for dinner. We will definately be back. Its quickly become one of our favorite destinations. Rooms are as described and pictured on the website. A great place to spend a vacation !!

Hi Kathy, Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your condo for our vacation. The condo was perfect - very clean with beautiful décor. The scenery from the balcony is fantastic - the sunsets out of this world... Everyone at South Beach Condo were so friendly and helpful for the full two weeks we stayed. We are planning another vacation next year and would love to be able to stay at your wonderful condo.

Very nice property very nice location

My wife and I were there for a late spring break visit in early April 2013 and really enjoyed our stay. We like to be very active and sometimes like to just relax on the beach or by the pool. Accommodations were excellent clean and well kept and stocked. I would recommend this condo highly The location and local establishment were very nice including live music at Ricky Ts, and a variety of activities and multiple visits to Johns Pass. Tom at Westwind Tackle is highly regarded and was booked up so I would recommend calling in advance of your trip. We did have a very nice time on the group fishing charter out of Johns Pass and at fresh snapper for 3 days. We also rented bikes at ABC Cycle on Central Ave and the local bike trails are very nice and well kept. Overall a great visit to the area and a great condo and building.

Owner response: Ricky T's is one of our favorites...always good drinks and great music. I am so sorry you could not get out with Tom fishing. You really need to call him in advance. Condo at South Beach Treasure Island FL

The condo was very nice and meet all of our needs. It was well stocked with towels kitchen supplies etc. The owner was very helpful in answering all of our questions. The weather was not the most desirable the week we were there but that is something we can't control. There are many things to do there and in the surrounding area ie the gambling boat, dog races, golf, Johns' Pass and many restaurants. I would highly recommend South Beach.

Owner response: I wish I could control the weather!!!! :) However, there is enough to do for that occasional cool or cloudy day. I have to admit that I enjoy the days that we venture out because we always find something interesting.

Newly Renovated, friendly staff

Our stay at the South Beach Condo was perfect and Kathy was great to work with. The staff at check in was very helpful and they even had our crib and highchair we rented right up to our room after arrival. The condo itself was recently renovated with new furniture and there was plenty of room for all 3 of us. I loved the area, we enjoyed the wonderful seafood (Dockside Dave's, Keegans, Sea Hags, etc.) and went to 2 spring training baseballs games. I just wish the weather would have cooperated but, we can't control that!

Recommended for: Families with young children

Great beach, perhaps the best condo for your dollar in the area, clean, direct ocean views, walk to grocery store ( if you are inclined), cycled the pinellas trail from the unit ( some caution though), Desoto park is well worth seeing, walk the beach forever ( ok 2-3 hrs end to end), awesome board walk, walk to restaurants, check out other shorelines in the area. What else do you want... Nothing. Most of all, excellent people to deal with. I had booked a week in November but had to cancel close to arrival time. By far, exceeded my expectations on how accommodating the establishment and owner ( Kathy) were! Rebooked for March and all was excellent. Weather a bit cool but just alter what you do. We cycled down to st. Petes and up to Tarpon Springs on bikes we picked up for $40 each. Sold them at the end of our trip. Sure beats renting them... Craigslist sure works well.

South Beach in March

Our family was very pleased with the South Beach condo. It was very bright, clean and comfortable. The property is very well maintained and was a pleasant place to spend a week. The beach is HUGE so there was no trouble finding a spot.

Retired couple had a great stay at South Beach

Good location, lots of good near by restaurants, really nice facility and condos. We have stayed at numerous beach condos around Florida and this was our first stay at South Beach. Many other condos have good, better and best rated type units, but at South Beach everything deserved a high rating. Our unit was nicely furnished and we found the facility and grounds to be clean and well maintained, as well as neighboring facilities. The pool and pool area was clean and modern. Lots of beach front between the condo and water created an extra walk but on the other hand it made for some great sceneryfrom our 5th floor unit. Johns Pass, one mile North has several nice restaurants, shops and boardwalk. The property met our needs nicely, was everything we were told it would be and exceeded our expectations. Friendly and helpful staff. Certainly worth some repeat visits.

Recommended for: Age 55+

Thank you, Kathy, for all your help in securing the condo for us. The condo was just what we had in mind and you did not disappoint. It was clean and maintained upon check-in. Our view of the beach and water from our balcony was absolutely beautiful. The location was perfect for walking to shopping and restaurants. We had a wonderful week and our only complaint was that our time there was much too short! We look forward to working with you again.

Overall, we were extremely pleased with the unit-clean,lovely linens,really comfortable bed and furniture. Great to have fully equipped bathroom with more towels than we would ever use.. The units were quiet-we never heard the neighbours except occassionally on the balcony and the pool was wonderful and maintained daily. Staff were extremely friendly-always a smile- and it was obvious there are many returnees as the staff knew most by name. The pictures were very accurate and owner was so prompt handling our reservation-including phoning to resolve a reservation glitch with the original unit listed. And really easy to deal with-it was like we already knew each other.One of the problems we had was the street noise at night-we had to sleep with the bedroom window closed-and then it was ok. We have stayed in other units with the bedroom facing the corrider so was not a big adjustment. The other problem was no oven mitts in the kitchen-ending up using facecloths and the fact there was no fan over the oven-we set off the alarm a few times as our steaks were broiling. We found the kitchen to be a little under-equiped-could have been a few more serving bowls,teapot,foil but we managed. We were happy that we could walk to shopping.restaurants,ice cream but also found it easy to navigate to sightseeing and malls,restaurants as desired.An excellant location convenient to everything we could think of.The beach was fantastic and its accessability from the unit couldn't have been any easier. Overall a very relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend the unit and the owner to friends.

Though you did not stay in my condo I have contacted the manager on the items you have listed and they are going to make sure the condo is properly stocked. One of the advantages of renting through an owner that has the property manager on site is that you can call them at any time. Several of the items listed were on hand and they would have been happy to deliver them to you. As owners we feel this service is very important. Owners have a choice of who will manage their condo either on site or off site. I have found that our guests are best taken care of if the staff are on site. This is where you may see a bit of difference in price but if there is an issue the guest is far better off knowing that there is someone at the desk to assist them. A good majority of the condos at South Beach are managed by the staff at the front desk and they are always willing to assist guests. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you visit us again should there be another Cattleman's conference in Tampa! Regards, Kathy

This was our second stay in this condo at South Beach. It is very clean, very well kept and well equipped. We stay a month and don't like to eat out all the time so having the kitchen is important to us. We shop at the local grocery stores and visit the fresh markets around. The unit was recently painted and looks great. I could go on and on about the balcony and the scenery. The owner and the staff are the best. Thanks Kathy for sharing your happy place with us once more.

Very lonely condo clean and well maintained inside and out. Close to shops and restaurants. Beach right at your doorstep. Enjoyed the long walks on the beach. Convently located for touring, we traveled from Fort Desoto Park to Tarpon Springs. Kathy was very helpful in making the arrangements and in supplying us with some local knowledge before we arrived. We would return here again.

Just what we neded!

"WOW" hardly describes the wonderful time we had at this place on Treasure Island! The place was clean, comfortable, convenient and the view of the coast and beach is a stunner. The building is also very quiet so we did not hear other renters' tv's or voices, except for the occasional but brief conversation on the walkway outside the bedroom window. Kathy was extremely helpful finding us a place to stay as her condo was already booked. We ended up staying right next door to hers so during the planning phase she was able to tell us exactly what to expect for accommodations. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the St. Pete area.....and that time cannot come soon enough for both of us! Thank you, Kathy!!

Relaxing Week at SouthBeach

We enjoyed our week at South Beach condo #403 very much. The unit was spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated & the view was perfect (the pictures are accurate). We enjoyed watching the sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico from the balcony! We also liked the fact that the condo was within walking distance to John's Pass (a quaint board-walk with lots of shops...and ice cream!) After our week, we left feeling very relaxed. We would have loved to stay longer. We normally stay 2 weeks in Treasure Island, but this year decided to head down to Key West for our 2nd week (never been down that far). Although Key West is very nice and tropical, my husband & I both agreed that Treasure Island is where we prefer to be. We've been staying in the area in another complex every November for the last 10 years, and decided to change it up this year by trying out South Beach instead! We made a good choice staying here! Kathy, the owner, was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with (as was the staff at the front desk!). We hope she'll let us rent the condo again... :) Thanks Kathy for a wonderful week in Treasure Island!

Relaxing stay, beautiful views

My wife and I spent a wonderful and relaxing week at this South Beach condo. The room was exactly as described and even had extra beach chairs for us to use. Kathy was very responsive to our questions and really made booking the trip easy and stress free. The staff on site was very friendly and helpful as well. The location is perfect. Walking distance to John's Pass as well as a restaurants and bars. We really enjoyed exploring some of the other wonderful beaches in the area, but found that the best was right outside our door. After the first couple days there we were already planning another trip back and highly recommend you give it a try.

THANKS FOR A LOVELY VACATION AT SOUTH BEACH. IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN I IMAGINED. THE CONDO HAD EVERYTHING I NEEDED AND WAS IN GREAT CONDITION. THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR. IT WAS NICE TO HAVE THE BOARDWALK RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR DOOR TO TAKE A MORNING WALK BEFORE THE DAYS HEATED UP PAST 90 DEGREES. I HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF FLORIDA FOR 8 YEARS BUT HADN'T STAYED ON THE BEACH IN THAT TIME PERIOD. IT IS A DIFFERENT WORLD WHEN YOU ARE LOOKING OVER THE GULF. THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT TIME IN YOUR LOVELY CONDO.

This unit was good for the couple of days we were there. The staff was helpful and our family enjoyed their stay. Only downfall I had was when I think about "Beachfront" I think it's closer to the beach than what the unit actually is. It is beachfront, but it's a long way to the beach. I'd say roughly a 8-10 minute walk with kids and beach umbrella, bags, towels, sand toys, cooler. Kathy is wonderful to work with. Unit is nice, well maintained and up-to-date and my daughter loved the ping pong table and the hammocks! Nice unit, but a little further than expected from the beach. I love to hear the ocean waves at night and unfortunately we couldn't hear them from the condo.

Owner response: I am happy that you enjoyed your stay. The pictures posted on the site do show that the beaches in this section of Florida are nice and wide. If you want beachfront this the best view and setting you could ask for. Having the buildings were any closer to the water could be a danger to our guests and building in inclement weather. All of the resorts in the area were built the same distance away from the waters edge but it is not an 8-10 minute walk. Though I can imagine with a toddler and all of the items you had to carry it felt like an eternity. I do hope you enjoyed the powdery sand and warm waters of the gulf once down on the beach! Thank you very much for being our guests.

We found the condo to be very clean. The view was terrific and the pictures are very accurate. Had a great mattress on the bed so that is a big plus for us. The kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks Kathy for all your help .We found great gifts for our children and grandson at John's Pass and just enjoyed walking around the area. Very relaxing atmosphere,

The condo was more than we expected. Owners were more than helpful and friendly. The property was clean and well kept. View from balcony was postcard quality. Couldn't ask for anything more. Memorial Weekend

The accommodations were quite nice. The view from the balcony was fantastic. Convenient to restaurants, shopping etc. Since we were there on Memorial Day weekend, we were able to enjoy the fireworks on the beach, which was a wonderful display. Would definitely recommend. The facility was clean and manicured, and the staff very courteous and helpful.

We were extremely happy with our South Beach condo. Kathy's 4th floor condo was not available but she arranged for us to get a 6th (top) floor condo at a slightly higher cost. The condo itself was really nice, balcony views were unbelievable and right on the beach. The beach is a public beach, very large and IMMACULATE! South Beach amenities include a nice pool, comfy hammocks and some outdoor games. (And a charcoal grill.) The staff there was really nice and we had no problems the 6 days we were there. It was a good location, central and easy to get around. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores are nearby. There is a trolley that goes up and down the coast but we did not use it.

My wife and I stayed for 8 days. The Condo is very well decorated. Everything you need is there. Kathy has thought of everything. Dish soap, Laundry soap, Tons of big thick bath towels. There is even a wall mounted dispensor in the shower filled with, Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash. Every dish and utensil you can think of. Of course we don't cook when on vacation but if you have kids it's the only way to go. One thing I would add is a tea kettle. We are Canadians and we like a cup of tea in the morning and night. Minor though. The staff are awsome. From the maintenance workers to the cleaning staff. All were more than happy to answer questions . Lots of parking. Only spots for I think 6 vehicles under the building, but lots of spots outside. Beautiful pool. Beautiful Grounds. I have recomended this condo to some family and friends. We have been in the area many times and love it. We hope to be Snowbirds in the Treasure Island area in the next 5 years. We will be back to South Beach soon.

This condo was a great find on VRBO. From the time of booking until we checked out we were well taken care of by Kathy & the staff at South Beach Resort. We arrived early and she made our unit available very quickly so our vacation can start ASAP. The facility is extremely well kept and clean. The grounds are very nice and well kept and the beach is right there. Great waking up and going for a latte from Starbucks which is only 2 miles on 107th and coming back and sitting on the balcony and watching the beach while enjoying the latte. Breakfast go to Lisa's in Madeira Beach! Kathy is just a great person to work with and want's to do anything to make your trip great. I highly recommend staying here, I know I will be back. This place beats any HOTEL!

We had an absolutely perfect vacation here! Stepping into the condo for the first time, we were amazed by how spacious it was. There was plenty of room for 2 adults, a 13yr old & a 10yr old. The kitchen was well equipped & immaculately clean (as was the rest of the condo). Every amenity that we could want was in the condo, from generous closet space to a full washer & dryer. The balcony was large and had the most breathtaking views! The landscaping at this property is by far the best around. It made you feel like the property was secluded in a way with beautiful palm trees and shrubbery lining & defining the space. The hammocks were a perfect place to relax & stargaze. We took full advantage of the horseshoes, shuffle board, ping pong table & swimming pool daily. Parking was always available which can be difficult in some areas on the gulf side, so we were very grateful for that. The beach, oh the beautiful, large, white sand beach! It was amazing to be on the beach and find plenty of space to spread out. There was room to play football & frisbee without bothering a soul. We cannot say enough about this property & condo, it is absolutely perfect!

We loved the condo, the beach, the sunsets, and just simply everything about this place! It was clean and well maintained and Kathy was superb and proactive in getting us information and helpful tips. Only one problem. We weren't there long enough. Hope we can go back soon!

The South Beach Condo Hotel was exceptionally nice. the layout was good, the rooms were well furnished with a comfortable bed. The Condo is right on a very beautiful beach, not crowded. IT has a Large deck overlooking the beach with a great view of magnificent sunsets. The staff was extremely helpful, which made for a very pleasant stay. For example, I am short. I mentioned that I could not reach the shelves. The next day there was a stool for me.

Just home after three weeks at this condo. Mother Nature sure smiled on us, the weather was fantastic. We spent many hours on the balcony starting with coffee in the morning to toasting the sunset in the evening. The condo was comfortable and well equipped. Everything was easy here, the booking, check-in/out, parking, housekeeping and supplies, friendly helpful staff , laundry, groceries. Although we had no issues, owner Kathy was always very quick to answer any questions. We liked that we could walk to any one of the many restaurants in the area, great variety. We especially enjoyed the Friday night Karaoke at Bazzie's, as spectators of course, a short walk down the beach path. On Friday morning in Treasure Island and on Saturday morning in St. Petersburg there are really nice " fresh markets". You can stock up on fresh veggies, fruit, bread, cheese and anything else that catches your eye. This is the beauty of having a full kitchen. We also did days trips to Ellenton Premier Shopping Outlet, Tyrone Square and the very interesting Ringling Circus Museum in Sarasota and many trips to John's Pass. So much to do, so little time. This is our third time visiting Treasure Island and will be back.

"Our stay at the South Beach Resort in #403 was just what the doctor ordered. The pictures of the condo were precise. The condo and grounds were well kept and the view from our balcony was beautiful. We loved staying here! We stayed in the unit next door to the unit listed here since this unit was occupied. The owner of this unit, Kathy, was extremely helpful and friendly. Both units are essentially the same. It is great because it is at the opposite end of the pool. The higher the number at the end of the unit number the closer you'll be to above the pool. We had a great view and privacy. I danced around smiling when I first took in the view from the private balcony. It is spectacular. The condo was great. The floors were tile and everything was clean. The bedroom had a king size bed. The kitchen had everything we needed, microwave, coffee maker, etc (though we didn't cook, just made sandwiches) The pullout couch was a good size, but the mattress was very thin. I slept fine on it. The bathroom was smallish but was clean and they even had soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower. Also there was a hairdryer attached to the wall like you find in hotels. There were plenty of towels. (no beach towels though so bring your own) The only down side is that the condo is not that well insulated against noise. It is easy to hear neighbors moving furniture around above you, etc. Also the hotel next door (to the left) seemed to be hosting some college group who were loud and partying quite a bit. But you aren't going to have total peace and quiet unless you can afford a private house away from other people. That being said, the mornings were incredibly peaceful and because the sun sets in the gulf (right in front of you each night, so beautiful) that means the private balcony is in the shade in the morning and early afternoon. It was lovely to take a cup of tea on the balcony each morning and greet the day. Also it was a lot cooler which helped since we were there in July. They do have hammocks, shuffleboard, and a pool. We didn't use any of those. There are also chair, umbrella, and little "tent/cabana" rentals on the beach itself. It was only $10 for 2 hours of cabana rental which comes with two lounge chairs ( or $25 for the day) Totally worth it! The staff was very friendly and helpful the few times we had questions. If you need groceries, go to Publix down the street. Great bakery, deli, etc. Try visiting Sloppy Joe's. They have great food and outdoor seating so you can see the beach. You can get there by car (right out of parking lot, it's 1 or 2 miles on the right) or on foot using the sidewalk along the beach. We'll be back!

Hi Kathy: We just wanted to thank you for all your help. We had the most lovely time. I literally danced around smiling when I first saw the view from the balcony. Everything we needed was there , even things we didnt expect , ( the soap, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom). The staff was very helpful with questions as well. I can’t begin to say what a great place this is to vacation. The condo is fantastic, clean and comes with a breathtaking view of the gulf. We had a fantastic time using your condo. We were taking a very much needed break and the condo was just what we all need to recharge our batteries. But I would also like to say that the staff at South Beach were the best, I travel all over the world and I have stayed in extremely nice places as well as the other end of the spectrum and I believe that the staff can make or break a person’s impression of a facility. The staff was not only extremely friendly but very attentive to our needs. They keep the place very clean and at one point one of the guest must have gone fishing and throw parts of the fish away in the hall garbage can, one of the works riding the elevator saw we were making a face when the door opened because of the smell and he got right off the elevator found the problem can and took care of it quickly. That’s service and commitment that you don’t always see from workers, and speaking for my group we really appreciated that type of service.

We were only here for 4 1/2 days, but had a lovely stay. The entire property is well-maintained and the on-site staff is wonderful - helpful, friendly, etc. The condo is comfortable and well stocked. the view is really great. We enjoyed the pool and the grill area and the hammocks. There is a wide concrete sidewalk that extends for over a mile right next to the sandy beach. It was a great place for walking without being in the sand. We also enjoyed watching the "kiters" doing special tricks with their kites. Sitting on the balcony was so relaxing. The owners were also very helpful. We will definitely recommend this condo to others.

My wife and I absoutely loved our week at the condo. The onsite staff was very helpful with any information we needed. There is nothing between the condo and the gulf except a beautiful sandy beach. Even though the week we were there it was a little cool we walked the beach every day, it was so relaxing. The condo is very clean and had everything we needed. The photos of the condo were very accurate. We would recommend this condo to anyone. We hope to rent this condo in January 2012 but this time for two weeks.
