Two of my homes, Pool House and Beechwood House, both have private in-ground pools and private hot tubs. Trail House and Glass House each have their own private hot tub, and share an above ground pool between the three homes. Stone House and Trail House are side by side and Glass House is close by, in the event more than one home is needed for your group. Step in to your very own private Rental Home with a lovely new Kitchen and very generous common dining room and living room. This home is completely furnished, and includes an ADT alarm system, bedding, towels and linens, dishes and pots and pans, washer and dryer and ice maker refrigerator, telephone service, lawn service, cable modem and expanded cable television in all bedrooms and living room and family room!
This is a hotel style rental accommodation that provides amenities only found in a single family private home.
Located in a very convenient neighborhood inside loop 410, near North Star Mall and Alamo Quarry Mall (one mile) and the San Antonio Airport (2.5 miles), close to 410 and 281, Sea World (17 miles), Six Flags Fiesta (13 miles), Schlitterbahn Water Park (30 miles). Commuting to Ft. Sam (6 miles), Lackland AFB (20 miles), Randolph AFB (18.4 miles), or downtown (approximately 6 miles) is accessible in minutes from home when you stay at one of my Executive Rental properties. There is an HEB grocery store, several restaurants and fast food, a 24/7 Walgreens pharmacy, and a liquor store within two blocks of this fine home.
This house features a lovely lot with a fenced-in rear yard. There is a carport and an on site surface parking area for several cars.
Home features a master bedroom suite with private bath. The Master bedroom overlooks the rear patio.
The second bedroom features a queen bed and color television and shares the hall bathroom.
The third bedroom has full bed and a private bathroom.
There is a combination Living Room and Dining Room 'Great Room' that is adjacent to the kitchen. The Great Room features a Color Television with DVD Player/CD Player, a pull out queen sofa bed, and a dining room that seats up to 12 persons.
The newly rehabbed kitchen features a refrigerator with ice and water in the door, a combination oven/range, ceiling fan lighting, a microwave, and has all the items necessary to cook good meals.
AN ABOVE GROUND POOL HAS BEEN INSTALLED BEHIND HOMES THAT ARE SIDE-BY-SIDE! Three homes are located adjacent to one another, Stone House, Trail House, and Glass House. A part of the back yard of Trail House has been privacy fenced off to provide this pool area. Like in a hotel, you share the pool with other guests. The pool area is fenced off from the rest of the private rear yards, and has a locked gate access for pool enjoyment.

Upon our arrival we noticed that the property was not clean. Carpeting in bedrooms was HEAVILY soiled. All interior walls are in need of new paint - many cracks, chips and scuffs. Fixtures in bathrooms were dirty. Tile floors were dirty. Accumulated dirt and dust throughout home. Electrical circuits throughout the home, especially the kitchen were problamatic. Many extension cords used throughout home - limited outlets. Was personally advised by owner that microwave and kitchen range could not be used when clothes dryer was operating. One outlet in kitchen had black electrical tape covering it - precluding use. Linens and towels provided by the owner are well worn and need to be replaced. Sidewalks and patio area concrete surfaces were uneven, cracked and split. Had to contact owner to have home cleaned every week. Quality of cleaning was substandard. Interior areas of home smelled - musty smell under the kitchen sink. Roaches seen in kitchen and dining room areas. My family stayed at this location while attending our Granddaughter's graduation from Lackland Air Force Base. The ride was only about 20 minutes and almost a straight shot to the base. The listing description, photos and amenities were as described by the owner. The owner (Jim) was very helpful. He went beyond his requirements to make us comfortable. I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone. Also the property was very clean and very well maintained. Thanks Jim, you made our stay worth the long trip.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Owner Jim Smith moved to San Antonio in 2006 from Washington, DC where he spent most of his adult career as a Realtor, Home Builder, and later as a Building and Zoning Code Consultant. In the earlier years Jim spent his free time as a Special Olympics County Coordinator in Maryland (10 years) where he set up a county Special Olympics program which included five hundred Special Olympians spread around 35 schools. Later, he spent his free time as a community activist, being the President or Board or Committee Member of scores of community interest groups including his civic association, and also served on several Washington, DC Mayoral Commissions including the Building Code Advisory Board (8 years) and the Recreational Trails Commission which decided where to spend public transportation funds for recreational trails in Washington, DC (6 years). The fast pace and hypertension of Washington, DC was too much to bear, so Jim transplanted himself to San Antonio, Texas. In San Antonio, Jim has remodeled six properties, including his home and five other rental properties that are fully furnished. The furniture and ineriors were selected for each home by Jim and his sister, Jan, and the result is a fine rental accommodation that is reasonable in cost. Jim's full time job is making Guests comfortable, and helping them navigate San Antonio to its many attractions and restaurants. This adventure for Jim has been anything but a progression for retirement, having 14 bathrooms, 19 bedrooms, 24 beds, six sleep sofas, six kitchens, three pools and five hot tubs keeps him totally busy all the time along with his helpers.
Why the Owner Chose San Antonio:
The home is near the airport and North Star Mall, just one mile to the 281 communter freeway downtown. The neighborhood is in the demographic center of San Antonio as is the International Airport, so getting around is very fast. Also the homes are less than two blocks from retail and food locations, the commuter skip bus stop is one or two blocks away depending uon which home your staying in, convenient to get downtown on public transportation.
To Jim, San Antonio offers magical things that cannot be found quite the same anyplace else, such as the River Walk, the magnificant dining, the attractions such as the Alamo, the cultural events, the happy visitors, and the spontaneous, friendly folk of San Antonio. Even though San Antonio has a few nights of colder weather, Jim was attracted to San Antonio for its HOT weather, where for most of the year you must dress casual to survive, and where excecpt for a dozen or so nights per year does the temperature go below 30 at night.
