Our property allows you to be close to the beach, but tucked away from the downtown crowds of summer. It is in a private neighborhood with a forest in the backyard. We are also just a walk away from the Ecola Nature Reserve. The property feels very private.
Owner's Map of Cannon Beach
We purchased this beach house as our first home. At that time, it was clad with lovely purple carpet, baseboard heating, and wood paneling. We spent 7 years learning and remodeling this house to be where it is today. I think I replaced the tile floor three times before I was happy with it. Due to the changes in our lives and car sickness from commuting, we decided to move and vacation rent our home. My husband and I are both teachers and we have two small children. It is fun to have guests that come year after year. We really enjoy having people who appreciate our home as well as we do. We have been fortunate to have travelers take good care of our house. We hope to pass down this home down to our children so that they can spend time enjoying their families at the beach just as our guests do!

A Charming Refuge from the Rain!

A fantastic place to stay in Cannon Beach! I brought my parents with me for a winter beach weekend and thoroughly enjoyed staying in the home. It's a comfortable, clean, and cozy place to stay warm on a rainy NW weekend. I can tell by the beach-y decorations and clean white lines that it'd be every bit as comfortable in the summer, too. The home is just as pictured - a beach cottage with very modern updates and an open, airy floorplan. We never used the fireplace, but it was stocked with a healthy supply of wood & ready to go. With the full kitchen, laundry, and two bathrooms, it truly felt like "home away from home". As mentioned in the ad, it's a little walk from the center of town, but that's what we were looking for - something quiet and out of the way. If you have kids or you just want some quiet "alone time" - this is a great option. We spent most of our time checking out the Oregon Coast, but spent our evenings in town and could walkt to the shops and restaurants easily (even though, we did drive one night because it was pouring rain). I recommend the Lumberyard Grill for dinner - awesome service and very tasty local dishes. Get the halibut! Kate, the owner, was quick to respond to my inquiries and was very helpful. My deposit refund was very prompt and I appreciated the hand-written "thank you" note. I love a personal touch! If/when I'm back in the Cannon Beach area, this will be my first choice of places to stay and would recommend to any of my family or friends. The prices are very reasonable and I consider it a great value. Thank you, Kate!

The house was charming and very clean, it is a short walk to town and the beach. My husband, myself, kids age 13 & 10 loved the house-it was a real home away from home. Cannon Beach is also a good location to take day trips by car or just stay there-lots to enjoy in town and at the beach. Ecola State Park at the north end of town is beautiful as well. We will be back!

My two girlfriends and myself stayed here for 2 nights in April. It was wonderful! Clean, contemporary, and quiet. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and we made a fire in the fireplace both nights. Only a five minute walk to the beach and the best coffee shop in town! Kate worked with us on the finances and made it so comfortable and easy to rent. We will most likely rent again-beautiful home!
