Bailey Island cottage deck and screened porch - Bailey Island, Maine Cottage Rental Come and enjoy the quiet life on Bailey Island in a charming 2 bedroom cottage on Casco Bay. You will be able to sit on the screened or open deck and see many islands as well as beautiful sunsets. A small beach is a short walk away for rock climbing and sand castle making. You can walk to Mackerel Cove and see the lobster boats coming and going and look for sea glass on the shore. There is room in the yard for lots of activities such as croquet and Frisbee. Enjoy the lovely flower gardens with local roses and perennials. Cook your supper on the grill on the screened porch and have a fire in the portable fireplace outside to cook your marshmallows. If it gets cool in the evening there is a woodstove inside to take the chill away. There are a couple of restaurants on the island for great seafood. If you have a rainy day there is always shopping at L.L. Bean and all the other outlets in Freeport, 45 min. away. There are movies and shops and museums in Brunswick which is 20 min. away and much more in Portland an hour away.
