The living area of the homes is on the second floor giving the home a tree house feel with a covered patio deck and open sunset deck. The Master Bedroom with its own large bath and a Guest Bedroom Plus the Laundry Room completes the second floor.

This heavily treed 2.75 acre lot (complete with deer daily grazing all around the lot - quite fun to watch!) is up in the prestigious Missouri Heights subdivision. An easy 3 mile drive up the mountain from the Wendys in El Jebel. The City Market and movie theaters are conveniently located just 3 miles from house at El Jebel. The downstairs includes 2 guest bedrooms with a brand new shared bath plus a billiards room/game area. A "Sundance" 7 person Hot tub is also located on a secluded downstairs deck.

The downstairs also includes a separate 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment complete with its own kitchen/living/balcony/separate laundry (bring your frinds or give your teenagers their true own space - what a treat!)

There also is a detached 3 car garage. (2 spaces available for You) and a RV parking spot. A 3rd floor office loft is setup with desk and high speed wireless internet. Be on vacation and still be in touch with the office.

Out on the grounds you will find 3 "under the tree" viewing patios, one with a hammock, one with a table/chairs and one with two chaise cushioned loungers for reading; napping; or simply mountain gazing.

This home is completely beautifully furnished with Designer Quality Furniture: (Leather,Suedes,Woods,Fur Quilts, etc) Aspen Log Bunk Bed, all mountain accessories and fully stocked kitchen - pots/pans; beautiful dishes even huge wine goblets and martini stemware. Beds have pillow tops and plush bed linens. Come and be pampered in the fresh mountain air.

There is even a gas fired patio heater for star-gazing evenings.

  • I recently had the pleasure renting this incredible log home for a week. Upon arrival I was so taken back by the views that I was completely mesmerized! There are not words to describe sitting on the deck, the mountains in the background and watching deer casually stroll around within mere feet of the porch. Sitting out on the porch swing, sipping coffee and lazily daydreaming... I never wanted to leave. This home is very well furnished and so comfortable. Plenty of room for kids, family or extra special as a nice romantic getaway. The evenings were spectacular with some of the most scenic sunsets I have witnessed. The hot tub hit the spot after some nice long hikes. The owner was very helpful and was a pleasure to work with. My advise.... Don't miss the opportunity to stay at this place... You will be coming back...just as I plan to do!!!

  • We rented this house in August '08 and it's a great place to stay. Plenty of room, separate areas for teens, unbelievable views of the mountains. Close to great restaurants and easily accessible via I-70 (Glenwood Springs route) or through Aspen. Communication with the owner was easy and friendly. We would welcome the chance to stay there again if and when the opportunity arises.

We BBQ and the view with snow still on the mountain, at night the stars seemed so close you could touch them. Very romantic. There was all kind of books,games,movies -bikes to ride and the nice large hot tub - so we always found things to do. Great for us as a couple next time will take the kids.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at this home. The mountain vistas were beautiful, especially in the early morning and at sunset. The house was lovely and very well kept, and the owner is great to work with. The location was also very convenient to Basalt and Carbondale, as well as being only a short drive to Aspen. We would absolutely stay again if we ever come back to the Roaring Fork Valley. Thanks so much.

  • The first word that comes to my mind as I attempt to sum up how insanely gorgeous this house is would be breathtaking. From the charm of this very spacious house and to the view that almost feels unreal, you have just found yourself in mountain paradise. It is obvious that the owner has unique taste and the perfect mountain flair to ensure that your stay is nothing short of that mountain oasis you have been dreaming about. Each bedroom is perfectly decorated and the property has many extra amenties that are hard to find in a rental property such as a state of the art jacuzzi and the best part...there are several lounging areas all over the property with hammocks and flower beds! It is definitely refreshing knowing that you are only a short drive to aspen for a night on the town but can experience all of the small town but chic pleasures of El Jebel and Basalt. I just love this place. You know that saying, "time flys when you are having fun," it's true and we can't wait to revisit this paradise soon!
