A perfect place to stay with family and friends.

Every year our friends and I choose a place for a snowboarding trip. This year we also included family. Everyone was estatic about the trip; we even had t-shirts made for the group. The house was spectacular. We arrived late in the evening so we werent really ablo to admire it until the next day. So spacious, that everyone had their private rooms. The view and tranquility of the area was amazing. The house had everything you needed it was like a home away from home. Just a few minutes by car and we were at every mountain to ski, places to shop and eat and most important hospitals or small ER as everyone seemed to have an accident in this trip, I know this house will always hold a speacial place because it was were I proposed.

A great weekend and perfect accomodations!

The home was very clean and well equiped for all our cooking needs. It slept 12 very comfortably. The home owner was very easy to work with. She offered to let us stay later on our check out day, normally 11:00 a.m., because our party was all arriving late on check-in day.

Beautiful View !

Our family of 12 really enjoyed this spacious "cabin". No one did w/o, and it was very well stocked with supplies. Large decks with lots of tables and chairs made watching for the wildlife easy from all angles while enjoying the mountain view. The large movie screen was perfect for a large group to recoupe after a day of rafting, zip lining, hot springs etc. Would be beautiful place to stay any season of the year !

Incredible House! Great Ammenities!

We stayed at this beautiful property for Labor Day weekend! The house is immaculate with all the ammenities you will need! A huge movie screen and over 300 movies to choose from, amazing views from all the windows, a hot tub, pool table, ping pong, bikes etc... the owner is very easy going and helpful! There is a grocery store, restaurants, fast food etc just a few miles away, so even though you feel "away from it all", you can still take advantage of what the area has to offer. We spent most of our time in Aspen, which was about 20 minutes away! A beautiful drive! We would definitely stay there again! Thanks Lourie!

Lovely Views and Plenty of Room

I have to admit, I kept getting mesmerized by the view from the main room. The ambiance of this house is pure Colorado. Lourie's attention to the decor really makes you feel like you are just borrowing a friend's house. Th movie setup was great to have at night. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable, so the basics are there too. I stayed here with four different families, including 8 adults and 3 kids, and we all had plenty of room. It was really nice to have the two different kitchen areas. My 7 year old son and his cousin, 6 yrs, loved having a place of their own. And we were happy that it was still part of the house. We all loved staying in this house!

Even better the second time around!

We have stayed in this incredible house twice and it was so worth it! On the days we wanted to take it easy, there was plenty to keep our 2 teenage boys busy, but it was still quiet & peaceful - great for swinging on the porch & reading a book. On the days, we wanted to go, go, go, we didn't have to travel far for rafting, horseback riding, hiking, biking or eating! Lourie is an absolute pleasure to work with and bent over backwards to make sure we had a great stay both times. The house is chock full of amenities, immaculate and very comfortable. I have recommended this house to all my friends - I can't say enough about the house, the area or the owner. We hope we can return very soon!

Lourie, The house was great, the view was MAGNIFICENT and our stay was wonderful!!! The house had everything we needed and it was nice to come "home" to at night when we'd been out and about. The guys especially enjoyed the hot tub after their hikes to Guatanche Trail and Mt Sopris. Thanks for sharing your home with us!!!

I recently had the pleasure renting this incredible log home for a week. Upon arrival I was so taken back by the views that I was completely mesmerized! There are not words to describe sitting on the deck, the mountains in the background and watching deer casually stroll around within mere feet of the porch. Sitting out on the porch swing, sipping coffee and lazily daydreaming... I never wanted to leave. This home is very well furnished and so comfortable. Plenty of room for kids, family or extra special as a nice romantic getaway. The evenings were spectacular with some of the most scenic sunsets I have witnessed. The hot tub hit the spot after some nice long hikes. The owner was very helpful and was a pleasure to work with. My advise.... Don't miss the opportunity to stay at this place... You will be coming back...just as I plan to do!!!

We rented this house in August '08 and it's a great place to stay. Plenty of room, separate areas for teens, unbelievable views of the mountains. Close to great restaurants and easily accessible via I-70 (Glenwood Springs route) or through Aspen. Communication with the owner was easy and friendly. We would welcome the chance to stay there again if and when the opportunity arises.

Lourie - Thanks so much for the great house. Everything went very well - fishing, river raft trip, dinners in El Jebel and Basalt, Gondola to top of mtn, rock climbing, bunji jumping, cool weather, beautiful views. This is a wonderful place. Hope to see it again.

Name: Patti Spada Date: 06/30/08 Message: We stayed at this beautiful home the end of May - what a place to unwind/relax. We BBQ and the view with snow still on the mountain, at night the stars seemed so close you could touch them. Very romantic. There was all kind of books, games, movies -bikes to ride and the nice large hot tub - so we always found things to do. Great for us as a couple next time will take the kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at this home. The mountain vistas were beautiful, especially in the early morning and at sunset. The house was lovely and very well kept, and the owner is great to work with. The location was also very convenient to Basalt and Carbondale, as well as being only a short drive to Aspen. We would absolutely stay again if we ever come back to the Roaring Fork Valley. Thanks so much.

The first word that comes to my mind as I attempt to sum up how insanely gorgeous this house is would be breathtaking. From the charm of this very spacious house and to the view that almost feels unreal, you have just found yourself in mountain paradise. It is obvious that the owner has unique taste and the perfect mountain flair to ensure that your stay is nothing short of that mountain oasis you have been dreaming about. Each bedroom is perfectly decorated and the property has many extra amenties that are hard to find in a rental property such as a state of the art jacuzzi and the best part...there are several lounging areas all over the property with hammocks and flower beds! It is definitely refreshing knowing that you are only a short drive to aspen for a night on the town but can experience all of the small town but chic pleasures of El Jebel and Basalt. I just love this place. You know that saying, "time flys when you are having fun," it's true and we can't wait to revisit this paradise soon!
