We stayed at Daly's Den the week before Christmas and had a wonderful, quiet vacation! The view is absolutely fantastic and the house is very comfortable. Big leather couches and armchairs in the living room, a kitchen well set up for cooking, a great master bedroom and loft upstairs, HUGE windows looking to the lake below, and a great dining table for 6-8 people to sit around make it an ideal set up for a non-hotel vacation experience. The surrounding region was quiet since we were there in the winter, but if you're looking for stuff to do in non-summer months, Meredith is a cute town for lunch & shopping and Loon Mountain is a great ski area only about 30 minutes north.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a fabulous time! We love homes with a view - we picked this property based on the picture shown and found the view to be even prettier than the picture! It was very cozy and we had more room than we could use. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals (although there are a couple of really nice restaurants closeby). The mountains of New Hampshire are beautiful, and we got another chance to view the mountains and lakes on our snowshoeing journey up Mount Morgan in Holderness. We also snowshoed in Wellington State Park which is closeby. The area has many ski resorts within driving distance as well as snowmobiling trails. The owners were a pleasure to do business with. We would love to return in the summer and fall to experience this area completely. We would highly recommend this property. Beth & Herman From Wrentham, MAOwner response: Wonderful to have you! You even experienced the February blizzard without any disruption. Storms in NH which can be quite an experience to watch the weather come in over the mountains and over Newfound Lake. We truly enjoyed our stay. That view is so incredible. The house has been great and the location perfect. We had a great time and loved the cabin. We've rented several cabins before, in New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas, and Tennessee, and by far yours has been our favorite. I grew up in WV and really want my husband to experience the fall foliage. The snow, which is what we wanted, was great, but to me the Fall is the best time of the year for that area. Thank you for sharing your warm and cozy home with us for our mini vacation! The view is beautiful and being able to sit next to the fire and enjoy the company of my family. Thank you for leaving so many games, movies, etc. for our enjoyment. A fantastic house! This house is serene: it is perched on a hilltop at the end of the street in a quiet residential neighborhood overlooking the lake. It's perfect for relaxing - we spent hours stilling on the magnificent deck and watching the sunsets. I was skeptical about renting a place online. WOW what an amazing experience. This house was exactly what they said it was. We had a girls weekend away and the owners were so friendly to work with. We enjoyed our stay during the holiday week after Christmas. The view was amazing. We are a family of four but the cabin had plenty of room for more. Being close to the lake, it looks like it would be an ideal location for a summer or fall vacation too. There was a bit of driving to get to some of the winter attractions but the ride was very scenic. The Homestead Restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was very good.
