Why the Owner Chose Island Shores
My husband was active duty Air Force and we were stationed in Guam. We visited the beaches in Hawaii numerous times. When we came back stateside and visited Gulf Shores, we discovered the beach in Gulf Shores is as beautiful as the beaches in Guam and Hawaii. Plus, Gulf Shores is a whole lot closer than Guam or Hawaii.
Owner's Map of Island Shores
We are a family with 4 children and we've owned the condo for 23 years. We have a love affair with the Gulf. We've seen Gulf Shores transform from a sleepy, small town to a thriving tourist area.
We've been through 3 major hurricanes -- yet we still own and still love the beach.

My family and I rented this property in May ' 09. This condo was a great pick for us. It was nicely decorated and was equipped with everything that we needed. We would definately recommend this place to another family looking for a great place to stay and with easy beach access.
Owner response:Dana; Thanks for you kind words. We have owned this condo for 20 years. Our 4 kids have grown up on the beach. The ground level is truly ideal for easy beach access. We hope you will stay again. Cat

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The first floor offered a convenience that we have never had before. Even on the first floor there is a view of the ocean so we didn't feel 'cheated' out of the balcony experience. The condo was exceptionally clean and neat. The decor was very nice and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. I highly recommend this unit.

Our family visted Gulf Shores for a week in May of 2011. This condo was exactly what we needed! It was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is nicely stocked with all the tools needed for cooking / baking and I felt very much at home. Our absolute favorite part of the condo was the balcony ~ lazy evenings to reflect on the days activities or morning coffee rituals to get us fired up for more fun and sun! The beach was beautiful and very easy to access. The pool was of good size and very clean (I think our kids loved it more than the beach)! Sea-N-Suds was a great restaurant 2 doors down with good food at very reasonable prices. LOTS of surf / gift shops in the area as well. If we ever plan to visit Gulf Shores in the future, I will definately look up Cat again! This condo was perfect in every way and she was an absolute pleasure to work with!
Owner response:Thanks Bonnie for your kind words! You and your family discovered what me and my family did 20 years ago. Absolute paradise. I'd be honored to rent to you again. Happy Summer!

The condo was in great shape, I loved the decor. The condo is beach level which I really enjoyed in the morning drinking my coffee on the balcony. You can just walk out your door and be on the beach, it's fabulous. I liked the location because my son and his girlfriend could walk to the local hangouts and didn't need to drive. The owner, Cat was very easy to deal with, definitely would stay here again.

My husband, daughter and myself just returned from a great vacation in Gulf Shores. The condo was perfect, tastefully decorated and in the heart of Gulf Shores. The condo is clean and right on the beach. It's right next door to Sea n Suds restaurant which is a good place to eat. We even got to see dolphins swimming in the bay on two mornings. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone who wants to have a worry free vacation to Gulf Shores. Thanks, Cat!
Owner response:Thanks Gay for your kind words. It was a pleasure working with you. Also, thanks for treating our condo like your own home. We put our "heart and soul" into our vacation rentals and it's guests like you that make it all worthwhile. As a valued guest, we can waive the deposit for any future return visits. Happy Summer. Me and kids enjoyed a long weekend in Gulf Shores recently and found this condo to be perfect. It is located within walking distance to our favorite lunch time spots, Sea N Suds and Pink Pony Pub, and not a bad walk to the fishing pier. Perfectly equipped and also reasonably priced. We hope to return this summer!

My family and I stayed at the condo the week of June 12-19, in the midst of the oil spill crisis. In spite of what was happening in the gulf, we had an awesome vacation. The condo is exactly as described. It is beautifully decorated and is one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. It has everything you need for vacation. The location of the complex is very convenient and being on beach level was amazing. The owner of the condo is kind and courteous. I cannot think of a better place to go for vacation. This was our 3rd time vacationing in Gulf Shores. Now that we have discovered this unit, we would most definitely stay here again!

We stayed in Unit 158 at Island Shores July 11-18, 2009. We have a wonderful experience at this location. The unit is decorated beautifully and was super clean upon our arrival. Being a ground floor unit we never had to deal with stairs and for the most part were able to park directly in front of the unit. We walked to shop and eat and rarely drove the entire week. The only drawback, if you can call it that, is that the wonderful aroma from Sea and Suds hits you when you walk in and out and makes you want to run over and eat there, which we did. We will absolutely request this rental again and would highly recommend it.
