Photo 1 - Waynesville Log Home Welcome to Fort Duncan, a fabulous log home in the smoky mountains. This great home will be your new favorite place to vacation. We have put a lot of time and effort into making certain you will be comfortable. It has easy access to golfing, hiking, horseback riding, shopping, skiing ... just to name a few. Take a ride on the famous Blue Ridge Parkway and stop along the way for a picnic or go antiquing in the many great places right in downtown Waynesville. Please don't forget to stop for lunch or dinner in one of the many great restaurants or stay in and BBQ on the wrap around deck while enjoying the 360 degree view of the beautiful mountains that surround the home. After dinner you can relax in the hot tub on the deck or play pool in the game room. The home has central air (although you might decide to open the windows and sleep in the cool mountain air). On the main level you'll have an open area that contains a kitchen, living room & dining area. The kitchen has all the essentials of home (microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc). The living room offers cable television, a VCR/DVD player and a wood burning stove for those cool evenings. Sit comfortably in the dining area and enjoy good food and friends. The wrap around deck leads 3/4 of the way around the home with rockers & sitting areas to enjoy the view or just sit quietly. There are also two bedrooms on this level. The large Master bedroom has a private bath & television .. and the other bedroom is has a queen size bed & television. There is also a full bathroom on this level. Off the kitchen is another deck that has a hot tub and leads to the game room. On the second level you have an open loft sitting area, two bedrooms and a full bath. The loft has a chair & ottoman for quiet reading and a desk & chair (for those creative minds). The first bedroom has a queen size bed & television and the second has twin beds & television. There is separate living quarters off the deck, past the hot tub which leads to the “game room”. In this building there is another sleeping area with a double bed & a full bath, plus a large room with a pool table, games, T.V., VCR/DVD player and movies to watch. Enjoy the many street fairs, music, historical buildings, "ghost town in the sky" ... Biltmore Village ... all just minutes away. 25 minutes to Asheville 20 minutes to Cherokee 1 hour to Gatlinburg/pigeon forge
