This historic family beach cottage is just steps from San Diego's famous Mission Beach. It is situated on one of the most delightful pedestrian courts in north Mission Beach. The front deck and living room both have boardwalk and ocean/surf views. The cottage is steps from the sea wall and the boardwalk. One parking space is immediately in front of the cottage and guests do not have to even walk across a street to get to the beach. The cottage offers many comforts including a 42" flat screen TV, wireless internet, cable, comfy pillow top beds, wood floors, gas fire place, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry.
Recently updated, the cottage retains its historic charm with cozy décor including vintage wicker furniture in the living room and brand new windows throughout. Two queen bedrooms, 1 ½ bath(s) plus a fun bunkhouse situated off of a gated back patio has double bunks (sleeps 4). The house is ideal for 2 couples and up to 4 children. The kitchen is equipped with a gas range, Microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal and R/O water filtration. Dining for 8 in the living room plus there is a small banquette in the kitchen that seats 4.
The patio has a BBQ and a teak table and chairs that seat 6. The rustic "captains
Lifeguard" chair is perfect for watching surfers, dolphins and sunsets. Each queen bedroom has a small closet and a built in vintage dressing vanity. Fine bedding including down comforters, pillows and 100% cotton sheets and towels are provided. The kitchen, bathroom and half bath feature porcelain tile floors and white fixtures.
Known for its 4 mile long boardwalk and sprawling white sandy beach, Mission Beach has plenty to offer. Favorite pastimes include surfing, boogie boarding, people watching, and endless cruising up and down the boardwalk. The cottage includes 4 beach cruiser bikes for guests to enjoy. Peaceful Mission Bay is only 2 blocks away to the east, and also has miles of boardwalk to explore. The cottage is 7 miles from San Diego's Lindbergh Airport (on surface streets), 3 miles to Sea World and 10 miles to the world famous San Diego Zoo. Pacific Beach is just a few blocks to the north and offers countless restaurants, shops, and a bustling nightlife. Belmont Park and its historic roller "Coaster" is 1.5 miles to the south on the boardwalk. Scenic La Jolla is 6 miles to north and offers tide pools, picturesque beaches, seal coves, aquariums and of course exclusive shopping and fine dining.

My family and myself have now stayed here 3 time and we absolutely adore this place! they have everything covered! we have stayed in near by hotels and also other vacation homes but we cant get enough. We had to find out the hard way with past places about parking and location but this place topped them. It is so close to all beach happenings you can walk either way 10 minutes and you aare wherever u want t be. We usually travel with our 2 kids who are 4 and 5 and often with a few more kids and adults and have never had a complaint about distance! so do consider and believe if you try once you will be back!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
