Apartment description - 2 bedroom newly remodeled apartment with 1 full bathroom, with bathtub, toilet, sink. Garden area furnished with table and 4 chairs and potted plants. Bars in all windows and door to garden. Complete kitchen including oven, microwave oven and half-size refrigerator. Private safebox. Hardwood floors, carpets, duvet covers. Close-up view to the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Cami) from bedroom. All rooms with ceiling fans. Master bedroom has 150 x 200 cm bed (queen size). Second bedroom has one single bed (90 x 190cm). 200x150 cm sofa-bed in living area.
Location - The apartment is by Sultanahmet Meydani, the Square in between the Blue Mosque (Sultanahamet) and the 500 AD Aya Sofya (or Hagia Sophia). Just a couple of minutes walking away from each, and next door (50 m) to the Four Seasons Hotel, where you can have breakfast...
Transportation - From Ataturk airport this apartment can be reached by metro + tramway. The apartment is close to the Sultanahamet tramway station. Just walk across the Square in between the mosques and it is right there.
Management - We are a small family company. Lauren is from Dallas, TX and Fernando is from Barcelona, Spain. We currently run 16 holiday apartments in Barcelona and 2 furnished homes in Dallas. We apply our same high standards in every country. We love Istanbul and we hope you will also love to stay in our second unit in Sultanahamet and the fourth in this incredible city. Elif takes care of our Istanbul apartments and she will take care of your stay.
Noise levels - The apartment has double glazing. The location is quiet but there is a loud nightly call to prayer 1 hour before sunrise.
Occupancy - The apartment is ideally suited for 3 people. It can sleep up to 5, but we only recommend that if two are children.
Check-in and check-out - The apartment will be ready for you at 16:30 for occupancy. You can drop your bags and get your keys from 12:00 (noon). Our greeter will be at the apartment to greet you and hand you the keys. The check-out time is 11:30am. You can request reserved early check-in or late check-out for a small fee, subject to availability. There is no extra fee for nighttime check-in.
Extras - Introductory neighborhood tour. Transportation to and from the airport. Groceries on arrival.

We stayed a week, and really loved this apartment. The location is perfect---we could go out and tour the city, then return to the apartment for a break, before going out again in the late afternoon. Steps to the Arasta Bazaar, the Blue Mosques, Hagia Sophia, easy access to the tram for trips further afield. We enjoyed sitting outside in the afternoon, drinking tea, reading books, and relaxing. The apartment was comfortable and clean, all the basics that we needed were provided. We also paid extra for pickup service from and to the airport---well worth it, haggling with taxi drivers is a bit difficult with only rudimentary Turkish! We plan to visit again, and will try to get the same apartment.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

My husband & I spent a week here recently and were surprised by how much more comfortable we were in the apartment rather than a hotel. The pictures are absolutely accurate- the apartment is spacious and makes a good home-away-from-home. The area didn't have as much to do at night after dinner so we loved being able to curl up on the couch and watch a movie with tea made in our kitchen. It is an active neighborhood and we were occasionally awakened by street noise; I believe they offer an apartment on a higher floor of the same building that may be better for light sleepers. While the apartment itself is wonderful, the location was our favorite part. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque or Hagia Sophia and less than 10 to the nearest tram stop. We found it very easy to see much of the city with such a convenient base. We did have some difficulty finding the apartment as most buildings have two addresses, so if you can't see the Blue Mosque you've gone too far from it. It was much closer than we realized, and the pictures showing the Mosque really are the same great view you'll have from the bedroom (absolutely stunning!) We had no issues from the moment we arrived until we left the following week, and it was great knowing that Elif was just a phone call away if anything did come up. Thank you for a great week in an incredible city! We hope to return someday and look forward to visiting your properties in other cities too!

I just returned from spending 15 nights in this lovely apartment in November 2008. The pictures are absolutely accurate, but do not convey how comfortable it is to stay here. The location is ideal. Just blocks from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sohia, Topkapi Palace, the Archaeological Museum, The Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum etc.. the tramway, and surrounded by restaurants and little shops. Every day on my way home from sightseeing I would stop in the park between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia and sit by the fountain and enjoy the views. Much of the time I was there by myself and I felt perfectly safe as a woman travelling alone. They have a very helpful local person who is available to help (like when I locked myself out). I am hoping to be able to go back soon.
