Just steps to the beach,this Spacious and Private 2 bedroom 2 bath penthouse condo is light and welcoming. The kitchen and baths have been recently upgraded. The 70 foot long, landscaped private patio provides additional living space and includes a firepit, BBQs, comfortable seating arrangements and a view. The unit has high-speed internet access and workout equipment. The unit is located just steps from the beach, volleyball nets and spectacular surf. A quick 5 blocks will get you to downtown Hermosa Beach with numerous fine dining restaurants, shopping and a multitude of entertainment options including the Famous Comedy and Magic Club where Jay Leno performs most Sundays and the Historic Lighthouse for the Jazz lover. Within walking distance you can find boat rentals for deep sea fishing, excursions to Catalina Island, whale watching and kayaking. Rentals are also available for surfing biking and roller blading. Numerous events take place over the summer months including Professional Volleyball, surf contests, Concerts at the Beach, Movie in the Park, Art fares and a Film Festival to mention a few.

Hermosa Beach is located just 7 miles from LAX and a short 35 minute drive to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Disneyland and Universal Studios. Palm Springs, Big Bear and San Diego are a 2 hour drive.

  • GORGEOUS HERMOSA HIDEAWAY The lovely pictures of this unit are really accurate -- except it's even CLOSER to the beach than it appears! Total privacy -- it's on the third floor, accessible by an outdoor staircase -- the whole top of the building is yours alone,and there is NO traffic noise!!! (I enjoyed the sound of mourning doves somewhere nearby)...The terrace is the whole length of the condo, with BBQ and Firepit and seating area! The neighbours on the lower two floors are very friendly, but not at all noisy. The ceilings are really high, and each room is so bright and airy -- we didn't even need to use the a/c. TVs in every room, internet use, 2 bathrooms -- what more could you need? Our family (2 adults, 2 younger adults)spent 7 wonderful days over the July 4th holiday. We felt at home IMMEDIATELY -- the owner is a lovely lady, and she met us there as soon as our flight came in, and it was the smoothest transaction immaginable! There are TWO private gated parking spots, which was great for when our guests visited. The condo is on a main (but not noisy) street, so street parking is next to impossible -- what a great perk! Hermosa is a lovely beach town -- sophisticated but NOT pretentious -- good mix of young people, middle agers and young families -- everyone laid back and friendly and happy to tell you all about the town they are so proud to live in. The beach is immaculate and HUGE -- and there are lifeguard stations. I booggie-boarded for the first time and felt like a kid again! Bicycles are even provided for a lovely ride along the strand! Hermosa has many boutiques and restaurants well within walking distance from the condo, and even a 24 hour VON's grocery store and a pharmacy. Especially enjoyed JITTERS cafe -- great coffee, wonderful breakfast lunch and dinner -- only a block away (name may be changed soon -- ask the condo owner for directions). And Mickey's just down the road from Jitters is a very friendly little deli for supplies or pizza etc. The condo is a great location for day-trips -- we spent time in L.A., Hollywood and Beverly Hills -- very accessible -- But it's a welcome relief to return "home" to peaceful Hermosa after the busy L.A. freeways, and enjoy an evening BBQ on your private terrace! I would recommend this condo as a perfect and very safe home away from home, and infinitely better than staying in a boring and confining hotel room!!! It's perfectly suited for a romantic holiday, a family holiday or a friends get-together!

  • Rented this property for a week in June. It was great and Christine was great to work with on fine tuning details. Property has all the amenities of home and was very comfortable and the location served us well. Will stay again in future.

  • We stayed for 2 weeks. had a great time there. very spacious, close to the strand, to downtown. Supplies all you need (kitchen, Internet, etc.)
