Nice Family Vacation at Running Y

Guest: Shana (Eugene, OR/USA)
Date of Stay: 08/10/11 Review Submitted: 08/27/11

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Running Y Ranch. The house was beautiful, we enjoyed having my younger brother (a chef) cook for us all, and he made the most delicious BBQ chicken. The resort offers a pool which we found by exploring the surrounding area, it had a kiddie pool too for the younger children and that made it possible for us all to a fun time. Also, the games in the hall closet were a wonderful touch, my stepdaughter enjoyed playing them. Thank you for a wonderful vacation, we will be back!

Klamath Rental

Guest: Cindy (Seattle, Wa )
Date of Stay: 07/28/11 Review Submitted: 08/25/11

The Running Y Ranch offers lots of activities, the location was ideal for us. The kids could bike, we were not far from the golf course and 10 minutes from kayaking on Klamath lake. The house was in excellent condition, clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. The owner was great with communication and gave us lots of feedback on activities and what to expect in the house and during our visit to Klamath. I would recommend this home for a family as it is comfortable, affordable, plenty of room to spread out and in a great location.

Our weekend

Guest: Steve (Fairfield, CA)
Date of Stay: 07/15/11 Review Submitted: 08/05/11

This location provided an absolutely incredible weekend getaway. It's in a great location, relatively close to a major city and provides an opportunity to get away from it all. The house is impeccably detailed and guests should have a great time both inside, with all the features, and outside on the spacious deck. I highly recommend this location for guests. We will return for a future getaway! Steve

Really enjoyed our stay at your home. Very quiet relaxing stay, also played golf. Great course. Everyone we ran into was friendly. Barbequed ribs on the back deck, drank good wine, what can be better than that. Tahnks, we will be back. Steve & Lynn Dorn

Owner response:How sweet it is!

the Casa Moosa expirience

Guest: Karen (San Jose)
Date of Stay: 06/21/11 Review Submitted: 06/28/11

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Running Y Ranch. Casa Moosa provided very comfortble accomodations in a very peaceful setting. The home was very clean, well provisioned and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the nearby attractions of Crater Lake and Lake of the Woods. The walking paths around the community were very nice for an evening stroll. The resteraunt at Running Y Ranch offered good food in a good beer in a casual environment.

Owner response:We consistently get glowing reviews like this from our friends. The Running Y Ranch and surrounding area, as the Nolans suggest, is such a wonderful family retreat. The nearby lakes, especially world-renown Crater Lake offer unmatched beauty. And the amenities of the resort are simply wonderful. Hope the deer were out for you to see too! Come visit us again.

This was a perfect place to spend a weekend with my family. Great location, very clean, well-appointed, lots of fun things to do in the area. Even the neighbors were friendly! The icing on the cake was finding our favorite board games stocked in the closet. :-) Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Great place for a family vacation!

Guest: MG (San Jose, CA)
Date of Stay: 07/25/10 Review Submitted: 08/14/10

The house was even better than it looked in the pictures - they should add a shot of the Master Bath! It was nicely furnished, and had everything we needed. The view from the porch is beautiful - out over the porch and to the mountains. Just walking around the neighborhood was fun - one dream house after another. Our group was comprised of 5 adults and 3 kids. The variety of activities at the Running Y and in the area kept us all entertained. At the fitness center we played ping-pong, basketball and tennis. We also used the pool daily. Though the pool is indoors, there are glass doors all the way around, providing views out to the trees, and there's a patio with loungers right off of the pool that looks over the valley. Breathtaking! The staff there is friendly and provides balls, rackets, paddles, towels - whatever you need to enjoy the facilities. Of course we must mention the golf. Our group had 4 hackers and one beginner. We took advantage of the twilight rates and enjoyed playing on the beautiful course. A course surprise - beavers! They also have something I've never seen before. Around the clubhouse they have designed a beautifully landscaped 18 hole putting course. We played with the whole family and had a blast. Golfers will enjoy some truly challenging up- and downhill putts! Surrounding area: My brother brought his sailboat, and one day we drove 25 minutes to the Lake of the Woods resort for a sail. The lake is pristine, and the resort is very well maintained and offers a variety of activities - paddle boat rentals, jet skis, power boats, fishing and swimming. The water was a bit chilly for me - but the kids and braver adults took a dip when we anchored the boat in the middle of the lake. We fished for about 20 minutes (off the anchored sailboat) and caught a small trout. Klamath Lake is closer by, but there didn't seem to be any real activity going on there (no boats, just flat, glassy lake). It's nice to walk up to the ridge and see the view, though! Overall we had a truly enjoyable stay, and everyone agreed that we would love to come back!

Owner response:Wow! Makes me want to move there full time! This place truly is a wonderful getaway. And we love our guests.

Fabulous Relaxing Stay

Guest: M & D (Medford, OR)
Date of Stay: 07/10/10 Review Submitted: 08/06/10

We had the pleasure of staying for a week at the wonderful "Casa Moosa" in Running Y resort in mid July while our son attended a class at nearby OIT. It is beautifully decorated and made us feel immediately at home. We had many wonderful meals on the back deck watching the wildlife parade by (especially the birds!). Our favorite activity, however, was just sitting out at reading a quiet book and listening to the silence. There are not many places you can go that are that quiet and peaceful. In fact, it took us a few days to get used to all the "unstress" :-). Of couse we also took long walks and played tennis every day and utilized the pool and spa . We enjoyed cooking in the well- equipped kitchen and, of course, BBQing on the grill. It was a wonderful relaxing stay-a perfect antidote to the fast -paced life in the world "outside". Thanks Mike for the use of your fantastic and comfortable home! We will return.

We had the opportunity to stay at Casa Moosa for two nights in May. We love the area, but especially love this home. It was an extremely comfortable and well furnished home. The footpath to the wetlands area was an added bonus, with all the wildlife around. We plan to return in the future and would recommend it to our family and friends.

Wonderful Retreat

Guest: shawnallen (Concord, CA)
Date of Stay: 04/06/10 Review Submitted: 04/19/10

We had an absolutely amazing time - the house is immaculate, comfortable, beautifully furnished. There's a gorgeous view. We enjoyed watching about a dozen deer as they grazed and "hung out" right behind the house, in full view. The weather was wonderful - we had a brief snow flurry which was really fun....but for the most part, it was just crisp and great walking weather. We highly recommend this resort for a family vacation, a couple's get away or a business retreat. All would work wonderfully.

We had a wonderful stay at this luxuriously comfortable home. Highlights included building snowmen and riding an inner tube down hole 9 on the golf course across the street.

Our family loved your home, inside and out. It served as our restful retreat during a time when we needed it--our daughter's wedding week. The large master bath served as Hair and Make-up Central on the wedding day. Such fun. Thanks for the hospitality. Kathleen Mohn

This is a wonderful home which I highly recommend. I was stationed at Kingsley Field for four months and Casamousa became my home. The owners were wonderful to me and really made me feel as if it was my home. My family was able to visit a few times and this became the highlight of their winter. The house is fabulous and really well decorated. Between the pool, MT. Biking, 4WD trails and golf there is more than you can do in a year! Enjoy your time at the Running Y it will be well worth it!

We spent the week of 7/11 - 7/18, 2009 at Casamousa with our family including 8 people. Had plenty of room for everyone. We spent the week doing all kinds of activities consisting of Canoeing, Bike Riding (No bikes for rent), horseback riding, hiking & of course eating. We mostly cooked on the fabulous back deck. The house is very well equipped with plenty of kitchen utensils etc. While there are plenty of movies to watch on the plasma we didn't have time as we kept busy enjoying the beautiful area. One of the things to be aware of is that other than golf most of the activities are provided at different sites around the Running Y, including the horseback riding & canoeing. We did the canoe trail at the Rocky Point Resort about 15 miles north of the Running Y. The horseback riding is only about 3 miles away. All in all we had a fabulous time & would highly recommend this facility.

We had a fabulous time with our family of 8 canoeing, biking, horseback riding, hiking & of course eating. Most of our eating was done on the ample deck. Casa Mousa if furnished very nicely & has all the utensils etc necessary as well as plenty of space for all. We would highly recommend this spot. Thank you owners for providing a great spot for a family vacation.

We had a great time at the Running Y Ranch. This was a family vacation and we took full advantage of all Klamath Falls has to offer: golf, Tulelake Lava Beds, and long walks on the trails around the ranch. This house is very comfortable and we felt at home. The deck is great.

Here's the rest of the note from our recent guests and new friends: Mike, Our vacation was great. We really enjoyed your home, it was very comfortable. We had great weather and spent most of Memorial Day weekend outside on the deck, when we weren't golfing. We will definately check availability next time we come back to Klamath Falls. I filled out your guest book. Thanks again, Paula

I highly recommend this property, named "Casa Mousa"! This lovely home is exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and welcoming in every way. And, the owner is very responsive to emails and phone calls. The 18 hole golf course at Running Y is fabulous. Our 5-year-old enjoyed the extensive bike trails and playing mini-golf. There's also a fun dirt-road for 4WD vehicles on the back side of the Running Y property alongside the Kalamath Lake, which is great fun and beautiful!

The "cabin" is more a luxury home away from home with all the mod cons you might expect. It has wonderful decore & comfortable rooms; plenty of space for relaxing & sharing with friends...a great retreat from the bustle, but with none of the privations. I plan to go back as soon as possible - the setting is superb and the golf course very entertaining with plenty of challenge for all. I only had a weekend, but would love to spend a week or more.

The perfect getaway or the perfect vacation place: This charming, tastefully decorated and well equipped home makes you feel comfortable from the first to the last minute you get to stay there. It is located beautifully under some large old trees, in a relaxing scenery and gives you best access to your preferred activities, may it be golfing (what an exciting golf course...), fishing (what a beauty of a lake...), horse-back (what scenic trails...) and many more. Shopping and all other amenities of a well designed development included.

This home is spectacular, as is Running Y. It is directly across the street from the 8th fairway and is surrounded by trees and wonder mountain air. The home is roomy, spacious and very well appointed in every detail. Golfers will not find a better golf course than Running Y's Arnold Palmer course and there are not many better retreats than this lovely home.

This home is fantastic. We arrived at this home with high expectation, but it beat even that. Kids immediately started playing in front yard and we settle down on nice deck in backyard. Interior was well decorated. My favorite was nice wall clock. Owner was pretty easy to talk to and made us comfortable before we landed up there. I would highly recommend this home.
