Another relaxing weekend in beautiful Chalet #4 !! Our last escape to the mountains before summer comes to an end, which you can tell is coming soon b/c of the crisp, cool air and tiny hints of gold in the aspens. We enjoyed hikes along Starvation creek and the Colorado trail from the Blanks cabin trailhead. On the flat parts of the trail, Finn got out of the backpack carrier and toodled along on his own two feet !!. We enjoyed dinner at the Laughing Ladies on Saturday evening. However, our favorite part of the weekend ....waking up, opening the shades on the big window and gazing at the moutains as the sun came up. Wish we could stay longer, for sure we will return next summer, Thanks for everything !!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We all enjoyed our stay here at Tudor Rose. The views from the windows were amazing as was the Chalet itself. It was everything we could've wanted. Salida had so many new things for us to do, ziplining, kayaking, off-roading and horse back riding and we learned so much. It was definately one of our most memorable vacations. Thank you so much for a wonderful, comfortable and clean place to stay. We hope to come back some day, Thank you againDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We came to Colorado with some friends to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, and felt so relaxed here. Two nights to unwind after 4-wheeling and white water rafting and this was an amazing place to do so. Beautiful chalet and property alike. Thanks so much for making Salida a really enjoyable stop !Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This Cabin is Great ! It was exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon. Very clean and homelike-yet far away from everyone. Close to town and attractions - yet far enough away to be out of the busyness. Thanks for having everything we needed to cook our own meals, and be on our own for a few days. We had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed the layout and decor of the inside of the cabin and the views on the outside. We were sold on the pictures and info on your website and really appreciated the fact that it was just like it when we got here (thanks for the honesty)Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Terre' and Jon have been dedicated lodging operators since 1994.
Why the Owner Chose Salida:
We have been in the Salida area since 1994 and we custom built all 5 of the Chalets. Each Chalet is unique, but they are similar. We constructed the Chalets in a grove of Pinon pine trees and only lost one tree in the entire year long process. Salida and Chaffee county are know for its clean mountain air and stunning views !!! Come on up and enjoy !!
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
Easy access to town, but it feels like you are in a different world on our property. It's quiet, peaceful, has the feeling of being secluded in the middle of nowhere, but within minutes you can take part in the many area attractions and activities. Oh, the night sky is unbelievable !!!!
