Perfect for a weekend trip away from it all!

I planned a weekend away with about 10 of my girlfriends and we could not have asked for a better house. It was immaculate upon arrival, and so very cute. Having everything there for us already (linens, towels, cooking supplies, etc.), it just made the weekend even that more enjoyable. Now we are trying to plan on this trip being a yearly event since it is so nice and really affordable!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks very much Deborah. Karen and I are happy you enjoyed your stay here. Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We hope you can all make it back again real soon.

What a great house. We have rented a few houses over the last couple of years years and this was the best. Jeff and Karen were great hosts. The house was spotless and like new throughout and loaded with all of the conveniences of home and more. They have every appliance you can think of. Drink your coffee on one of 5 porches and listen to the frogs, sheep and cows. This house is in the middle of nowhere yet within a short drive of Uniontown, Pa or Morgantown, WV. We did not want to leave. Trying to find a house to compete with this one on future trips will be tough.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for the kind words Mike. And thanks for being our first Mountainfest family to venture to The JK Farm. Karen and I really enjoyed hearing of your group’s travel adventures for the week. Thanks for sharing. It is our sincere hope that you will find a reason to visit us again. Warm regards, Jeff and Karen

We just spent Labor Day weekend at JK Farms! We were all in town for our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. Since our childhood home can't hold all of us anymore, the Farm was the perfect place for us. The cottage is so beautiful, inside and out. Every room is gorgeous, we all felt so spoiled to be there. Even the little ones loved it, from the toys and chalkboard to fishing and watching the cows. Such a beautiful farm, we enjoyed God's handiwork everywhere we looked. It was a wonderful weekend honoring our parents! Thank you for allowing us to share your farm. We will definitely recommend your place to our family and friends. We plan to be back! God bless!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Thank you for choosing to stay in our cottage for such a momentous occasion. And thank you for taking the time to write this review. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Regards, Jeff

My family has rented several VRBO properties over the past couple of years - this was by far the nicest, so much so that I'm writing a review for the first time. The cottage is more than a place to stay, it is a real treat. Tastefully decorated and immaculate, Jeff and Karen have thought of everything. My elementary-aged children loved the pond and the fields, my husband and I loved the peace and quiet, and my elderly parents loved the fully-appointed kitchen and the books and magazines. Jeff and Karen checked in on us soon after arrival to be sure we had everything we needed; we did! This is really a luxury property which we will recommend to anyone seeking a calm respite.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words. We love our farm, and really love when folks see the things we value in our cottage. We hope you can visit us again soon.

We recently stayed at the JK Farm for 3 nights with a large family group and cannot recommend it more highly! The owners were wonderful to work with, the setting simply idyllic, and the cottage was beautifully furnished, thoughtfully stocked, and amazingly clean and comfortable. The outdoor areas--including 3 porches, a patio, and a large back yard with a fire pit, grill, and picnic area--were ideal for relaxing and letting the kids run free. There are numerous local attractions--we happened to go to Ohiopyle State Park and Laurel Caverns and recommend both, especially for groups with kids. We have rented a number of properties in the last few years and enjoyed them, but this was definitely one of our best experiences, and we hope to return before too long.Did you find this review helpful? We just returned from a 3 night stay at JK Farm. It was a perfect location for 3 couples to meet and visit the Frank Lloyd homes, about 30minutes away. It is also convenient to rafting on the Youghigeny River and visiting Morgantown, WV. 4 of us were coming from Baltimore and 2 from Buffalo so the location was a good central point. The owners, Jeff and Karen, were gracious, helpful and have a beautiful home available for rental. I have rented several homes but never stayed in one as fully outfitted and comfortable. Each room is beautifully decorated and in wonderful condition, with a full private bath and deck or porch. The living room, with huge TV, provided a place for us to spend time together and catch up on everything. And the kitchen.....not a thing was missing, including spices, coffee and creamers, popcorn, every appliance you could possibly need, linens, paper goods, cleaning goods. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and the "peepers" provide background noise for a restful night's sleep in the comfortable beds. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the cows and recently born calves. Jeff and Karen raise grass-fed and grass-finished cattle and shared so much information with us about this enterprise. We had a wonderful 3 days....this place is a winner!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The JK Farm is an amazing place to stay. My female family members and I just spent a weekend at the farm. The pictures on this site don't do the house justice. Every room in this house is beautifully decorated with amazing detail. There are books and magazines galore along with toys and games for young children. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could imagine, more than what I have in my own home! They even have high end toothbrushes, soaps and shampoos in the bathrooms. We spent most evenings on the deck by the pond and Jeff even brought the cows in for us to see. Close to Uniontown and Nemacolin, where we spent some of our time. We would come back in a heartbeat as there is no other place that could hold a candle to this one.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

While searching online for accommodations in Uniontown, Pa., I noticed an ad for JK Farm. I usually stay at a local motel. This time I decided to try something different and made reservations there. I hope you will too. You will not regret it. Located near Smithfield, (when you get to the old Moonlight drive-in turn-off, you're almost there) it's a short drive to Masontown or Uniontown. If you're there for a reunion, retreat, wedding, golf outing, visiting the Laurel Highlands or just need a place to hide away for a few days of peace and serenity, you can't do better than this. The owners are wonderful hosts and live nearby in a colonial era stone house. The next time I'm in the area I will definitely stay there.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
