If you enjoy a view of the sun setting nightly over the water, then Enchanted View is the lake house rental for you. The view delivered as promised, every night a breathtaking spectacle of orange, red and yellow until a myriad of stars became visible from any of porches flanking the house. Our 11 and 14-year old sons found plenty to do with the pool table, dvd players with extensive disk library, board games, horseshoe pit and Ipod docks located conveniently throughout the house. And the grandparents could relax on the porch, enjoy the eclectic and thoughtful reading material and watch the more energetic fish from the dock. I must mention that our not-so-experienced anglers caught at least 10 fish each day, mainly catfish, but perch and bass as well on worms and shrimp purchased from the local gas station a few miles away. Tina and John were excellent to work with. The decor was inviting. The 8 of us had plenty of room to spread out and never felt cramped. The kitchen was amply equipped to cook meals comfortably, although we did venture to the Island at Highport Marina (about 25 mins away) for drinks and fried food one night. We returned there to rent Jet Skis from Anchors Up. What a blast! Tip: If your 14 and up teen wants to drive his own jet ski, compete the water safety course on line in advance and bring the certificate. Next time we'll look into their Island Shuttle - a pontoon boat ride to a sandy island beach picnic suitable for all ages.

Great Spring Break at Paisaje Encantado

My husband and I rented Paisaje Encantado during Spring Break vacation. We wanted a home on Lake Texoma so that my husband could fish from the dock/fishing pier. Additionally, we were looking for a home big enough that our children who live in the area could visit during the week we were there. The view is enchanting, and the deck at the back is wonderful to enjoy that view.. The house is beautifully decorated, and the Southwest art displayed adds a special touch. Our family enjoyed the pool table. My husband, son-in-law, and grandson had good luck striper fishing with a guide on Lake Texoma. We would like to return to this home again in the future to make more good family memories. We would recommend this property to friends or relatives. Our thanks to Tina, who handled our rental. She was helpful and efficient with any questions we had about completing our rental contract.

Was located really close to some good fishing. The house was more than adequate. Dock was fine. The Rub - That hill was really steep and slick when it rained. I give the house an A-. Would go back.

Wonderful Weekend

My family had a reunion here over a weekend and enjoyed the house so much! We had 15 people there and never felt too cramped in the space. The house is set up great for socializing and eating together. The pool table, screened-in porch, and deck were fun for everyone. The view of the lake was amazing and we were a short walk down to the lake. The dock was great for hanging out on and we were out on our boat most of one of the days and had a blast! The bedrooms comfortably slept 10 and we had the pull-out sofa and two other couches to sleep on as well. The weekend was great! Highly recommended place to stay.

Family Reunion

We rented this house for a small family reunion over the Easter weekend. Our group included 3 families with children ranging from 5-21. There were plenty of activities to keep all ages entertained. This sprawling house has enough room to spread out with several porches, a deck and LOTS of couches! The beds were comfortable & the home was clean. We fished from the dock and even rented a pontoon from a nearby marina. The biggest hit with the kids was definatly the pool table. The large galley kitchen has ample counterspace to accomodate several food preppers and there is lots of table space along with a snack bar. We will definatley return for our next Texas family get-together and recommend this property to others. Tina was the best as she gave lots of great information and was very pleasant to work with. We hope to be in touch with her again very soon.

Weekend on the Lake

My family and I spent a weekend at the Paisaije Encantado and we really had an awesome experience. The house was very clean and very spacious. There were a total of 11 of us and we had plenty of room to move about. The amenities offered were perfect for our family. The kids really enjoyed the pool table, the tv and the radio. We had no problems with the dock or the lake access. We were able to fish off the dock without any issues. We rented a pontoon and were easily able to dock the boat with very easy access to it. I would highly recommend this property as my family and I intend to stay again and have already recommended it to our friends.

I would like to say that our stay at Paisaije Encantado could have been so much more enjoyable had we known more about the property & amenities. We were not able to enjoy swimming because it was too hard to get in the water due to the broken dock and the extremely rocky shoreline and sinking clay. We were aware of the steep incline and this was not a problem. But actually getting in the water was a huge problem. Had the dock been repaired and there been a ladder/steps into the water we would have been able to swim. Only the older children were able to find a way in. There was a broken bed and very few pots or pans to cook with. It has a nice size kitchen, but not even the basic cookware or bowls to use for serving. The 12 towels were also not sufficient for the amount of days we were there (4 nights) for 12 people. It is a beautiful property and view. We also enjoyed the video library. I would just like to say that the description was not quite accurate. The property was clean enough for a lake house, just not well-equipped for cooking. If certain changes were made we would consider recommending this property to others and returning ourselves. I would also like to add that Tina was very courteous and helpful.

Owner response:Thank you for your review. We appreciate your comments and have already taken measures to improve the property and its amenities for future rentals. The Texas shoreline of Lake Texoma has very few beach-like areas and had not described the property in that way. Water shoes are always strongly recommended when accessing the water from all areas of the shoreline. We hope that you will consider visiting again.

Beach and Pier area unusable

We visited family from out of town at this property yesterday (6/13/09). The beach and pier are terrible, not at all like the photos represented it. The path to the beach is steep and hard to manuever and the walkway is missing large parts and is half under water. The pier is slanted so that it is unusable. The beach area is rocky, marshy and not suitable at all for swimming for children of any age. Huge disappointment to everyone.

Owner response:We regret that a recent visit to our property on Lake Texoma was considered a disappointment. It is in fact a lake front property, however has never beed solicited as having a beach area. Unfortunately, the heavy rains in May 2009 caused a drastic increase in the lake level resulting in changes to the shoreline. The flood gates were then released without notice and caused damage to much of the shoreline. It will be repaired soon. Although we have not experienced a negative review in the past, we do appreciate all reviews of the property. We encourage any interested renter to contact us with any questions regarding the property or the terms of the rental.

I attended a bachelor party here. There were about 15 of us and there was plenty of room. Also, the back fire pit overlooking the lake is amazing. Great views.
