Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: Newport is a wonderful place to live and visit. We are famous for our beautiful mansions, trees, beaches, sailing, tennis, golf, music, art and the abundance of fresh seafood. I love the community and the local people. I've called it home since 1983.
Why the Owner Chose Newport:
I decided to settle in Newport for it's History, Charm and Beauty. After living in Manhattan for eleven years, I wanted blue sky and ocean breezes at my fingertips. There is such a peaceful, easy vibration to the city. It is a beautiful little jewel of a city by the sea. Yet, it is close to all the big city living of Providence, Boston or New York.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Once you arrive, you can put away the car keys and walk to just about everything the city has to offer. We also have Old Port Marine, which offers service to any location via water taxi. You can visit Goat Island, Jamestown, Yacht Clubs, and Fort Adams. During Summer, we also have Ferry Service to Block Island.
