Vaulted ceilings and windows provide a well-lit and spacious atmosphere. The main level includes a fully-equipped kitchen, round dining table that expands to seat six, and living room with vaulted ceiling, corner sleeper sofa (queen), High Definition TV, DVD, music, and WiFi DSL internet. The balcony off the living room has spectacular unobstructed snow capped mountain views of Mt. Crested Butte, Whetstone Mountain and Red Lady Mountain — plus you'll enjoy the cozy gas fireplace.
The cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The lower level includes the master bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom. The master is a walk-out with full windows and door out to a deck, small yard and the bike/rec path.
The upper level includes a second bedroom with two twin beds (can be converted to a king upon request) and a three-quarter bath with shower. The open floor plan and numerous windows allow abundant sunlight and spectacular views of Mt. Whetstone, Red Lady, Mt. Crested Butte Peak, chairlifts and ski trails. Parking is available at the front door of Full Moon Cottage and in our dedicated space in the parking barn just steps away.
Full Moon Cottage is located just minutes away from the historic town of Crested Butte.
Located in the charming new neighborhood of Pitchfork, the home is across from Mt. Crested Butte ski resort and on the recreation path which leads into town. About every 20 minutes, the free shuttle stops at the Pitchfork entrance (just one block away from the home) and its route takes you into town or up to the ski resort — the ultimate in travel convenience!
Enjoy the spectacular wildflowers, test your abilities on world-class mountain biking trails, hike for miles in the pristine wilderness setting, enjoy the fall foliage colors, and take in the beauty of the mountains. In winter, enjoy unsurpassed skiing and snowboarding on Mt. Crested Butte, Nordic skiing right down the bike/rec path to Crested Butte's Nordic trail system, or enjoy the peace and quiet of snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. In any season, the historic town of Crested Butte “Colorado’s Last Great Ski Town” offers a variety of locally-owned shops and fantastic restaurants.

We stayed at the Full Moon Cottage during our recent visit to Crested Butte for 3 nights. Great location for the bike trail and free shuttle to town. The property is well equipped with everything you need away from home. The property was very clean and comfortable and we will always recommend this property to our friends. We really felt at home in the full Moon Cottage and look forward to a return visit. Very clean and comfortable, gorgeous mountain views, and a well appointed kitchen. Great mattress in the downstairs bedroom. This was our second time renting with Kimberley in the Pitchfork neighborhood. The location is great. On the bike path for a quick and beautiful ride to town. A short walk uphill to the ski area, and the bus stop is only a few doors away. We appreciated the covered off street parking on our March visit when the snowbanks limit the street parking.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
