Owner's Profile
Why the Owner Chose Todos Santos
We have been traveling in Mexico since 1974 , 12 years ago we began looking at properties both on the mainland and in Baja Sur. This property far surpassed anything else we found. Ocean , mountains, sunrises and stunning sunsets. It is livable year round and June and July are some of our favorite months.
The Unique Benefits of this House
This property provides us with privacy, security and complete peace& quiet while we are on it. The beach is walkable for a good 2 hours and connects with the biggest surfing beach in the area. Nearby Todos Santos provides a great nightlife, and many cultural events without the commercial feel of Cabo. There is an assortment of terrific restaurants, galleries and the ability to purchase organic fruits and vegetables, fresh fish and free range chickens. I teach cooking classes so good products are important to me. We are well traveled and continue to return to our home in Mexico, feeling like we really hit the jackpot.

Another Day in Paradise

Casa Paloma is an exquisite beachfront property that embraces the best of Baja. I have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home on three separate occasions, twice with friends and family, and once with the owners present. That experience was my favorite, as I was able to enjoy the "bed & breakfast" stay. This included fresh and tantalizing Mexican and European cuisine prepared by the owner, who has had a long career as a professional chef and restaurant owner. The main house with a furnished outdoor palapa, and the guest house with a huge deck on the roof are fabulous. The main house is warm, immaculate, comfortable, and airy with gentle ocean breezes wafting through the many windows. The gorgeous landscaping includes dozens of flowering shrubs, palms, and trees all enclosed in a private walled and gated acreage. The beach stretches for miles and is virtually deserted, which makes it wonderful for whale-watching and enjoying spectacular sunsets while sipping a margarita at the end of a day another day in paradise! I would recommend this house to anyone wishing to have a quiet, peaceful, secluded vacation, yet with kayaking, surfing, and hiking nearby. The icing on the cake is the little artist community of Todos Santos, just a 15 minute drive down the road. I can hardly wait to go back!

The Perfect Retreat

My wife, 85 year old mother and I recently stayed at Casa Paloma's casita (2 bedroom apartment within the compound) . Our hosts, Rory and George looked after our every need, starting with a tasty and creative Huevos Rancheros, local mesquite smoked bacon, freshly ground, french press coffee and hand squeezed orange juice along with home made bread. The morning cuisine was just the start of a most delightful and relaxing escape from the vagaries of our normal hectic daily regime back home. Although our stay was far too short (4 nights), we left with a nice tan, many pages turned in the hammock and outdoor palappa,( with couches, bed and lounge chairs), cathartic walks on the deserted 5 mile beach along the Pacific Ocean and two hosted adventures from the Casa Paloma compound. The first was a wonderful hike, hosted by George Farrow that began near a small beach where the panga boats sell their freshly caught sierra, yellow tail, dorado , sea bass and yellow fin tuna daily (we picked some up for a wonderful yucatan style seafood dinner prepared by Rory that evening). From the beach we hiked up along a craggy coast and to some isolated coves where we viewed sea lions and grey whales on their annual migration south. Our other adventure was to Las Cerritos beach, just up the road (or up the beach if you have the energy). This surfing and belly boarding beach was the perfect day outing to cool off, jump some waves and enjoy some local tacos and cervasa. Back at Casa :Paloma, we endulged ourselves in some very reasonably priced spa services, including an outdoor deep tissue massage by local mexican masseuses....the girls had a manicure and pedicure as well. All in all, our experience at Casa Paloma was the quintessential getaway we had hoped for and we look forward to returning for an even longer stay. For up to 4 folks, the B&B option is worth considering. On the other hand, there is something to say for renting the entire compound, which can comfortably accommodate 8 people. Speaking of the compound, George has created an amazing garden oasis with all indigenous flora. So many varieties of flowering plants, desert trees and cacti that of course attract colorful song birds. Finally if you are there for the whale migration as we were(Dec through Feb/Mar), you will see grey and humpback whales no more than 50 yards off shore....a once in a life time experience. As memories go....this one lives on.... Taylor, Anita and Gloria

I love this place! I have stayed at Casa Paloma twice, and both times exceeded my expectations. Yes, there are the whales, the views, the spectacular sunsets and sunrises, but the home is the icing on the cake. There is everything one could want in comfort and style. A place to love.

This property is the best in Baha! I have been here in November and July. Both months were perfect! The most beautiful sunsets in the world. And our own private beach - this is the perfect vacation spot. I will come again. The house is well equiped and as comfortable as home.

We spent 5 days at this wonderful home and rarely saw another person on the beach! We explored Todos Santos, hung out at La Cerritos and hiked. The best part was morning coffee on the patio and watching the sunset from the beach. I'm looking forward to returning again to this corner of paradise.
