Hi Paul, Thank you so much for working with Simms to rent this house for our event. The house was perfect for our 10 guides! They really enjoyed being so close to the river. We also hosted a breakfast for 20 and everyone was able to sit comfortably and hang out. We look forward to booking the Lucky Dog for next year!
Owner response:That's so great to hear! It seems to be a perfect place for your top fishing guides and reps to stay. We look forward to hosting more of your events. Paul

We have stayed at this property twice with a large ski group and absolutely love it! The lodge is as beautiful as it is comfortable. The many rooms with many beds as well as ample common areas make this perfect for a big group. The location on the Gallatin is wonderful and you can hear the river running even during the winter. We're looking forward to staying at the lodge again next year!

We stayed at "The Lucky Dog Lodge" July 31-August 5, 2010, to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our three daughters, their husbands and children. We totaled 17 plus a small dog. Everyone of us thought the logde was a dream come true. It is beautiful in it's magnifience. So much room for everybody. It was very clean and lacked nothing for our comfort and convenience. We did only one outing each day, wanting to spend the rest of the time at the beautiful lodge. The owner was most kind, even offering us free vegetables to pick in his garden! We appreciated all of the bedrooms, and having the bathrooms seperate from the bedrooms is a big plus. The kitchen was very well equipped - even having two coffee pots! We also appreciated having a washer and dryer to use. We felt it to be a most excellent value. We all wanted to stay a month!! We hope to come again. Thank you, Mike and Jeff Copeland, for renting Lucky Dog Lodge to us and thank you, Paul House for working everything out for us via the internet. Thanks for having the internet site where we found your lodge. Sincerly, Stan and Barbara Cole

Please rate the following from 1 (worst) to 10 (best): Cleanliness 10++ Location 10 ++ Tranquility 10++ Amenities 10 ++ Ease of reservation process 10 ++ Overall value of rental 10 +++++ Comments or Suggestions: We had an amazing time. It was the first time we had been able to get everyone in one place at the same time, as the entire family is from all over the US and Canada. My parents said it was the highlight of their 50 years of marriage. My nephews and nieces enjoyed walking out the back door to fish and float. I enjoyed how close it was to everything so if anything was needed we could just go to town a minute and pick it up. The lodge is a beautiful building and you can see the love and passion the builder had to make it a peaceful, comfortable place to stay. It is definitely worth any price because there is a togetherness not found at a hotel.

"The Lucky Dog was perfect for our group and centrally located to many fishing opportunities. I fished the Gallatin, the Madison inside the park, Slough Creek in the park, the Boulder River south of Big Timber, the Yellowstone, the lower Madison and the Jefferson during the week. We also had a group fish the Missouri. All of these waters were within an hour and a half or so from the Lucky Dog. The kitchen and dining facilities work great for larger groups as well." Good Morning Paul: This is somewhat "belated"... but we want to "thank-you" for the great accommodations of the Lucky Dog- all 15 of us...thought it was great..and would love to come back again...the guys enjoyed the Gallatin River, and were able to try their hand at flying fishing, and then went to the old standard fishing, and were able to catch enough for a "fish-fry"-. Some of them used the Hot Springs, and enjoyed being close to that, and of course being close to Bozeman downtown, all of the "girls" took advantage of the shopping, etc... We made the trip to Big Sky and Yellowstone Park... and also the area around Manhattan where I grew up etc, and it was a "nostalgic" trip for me in many ways. If and when we make that trip again, we would come to the Lucky Dog, it is certainly a great place for many people of all ages.. It was nice to meet Mike Copeland, please greet him for us... |Again, thanks for all of your help in making this trip one of Memories.. Take care and have a great summer. Bob & Lee and "clan"...St. Louis, Mo. June 2006

We enjoyed our time at the Lodge very much, as Australians wanting to see and experience America the Lucky Dog Lodge was a perfect choice. A real log cabin although not really a cabin but a mansion the lodge is very comfortable as well as providing a unique ambiance. We understand that the lodge was completed as tribute to a local adventurer/guide who had dedicated his life to unlocking the beauty of Montana to visitors from both home and abroad. We would like to thank those whose hard work made the lodge a reality as it truly does allow visitors to enjoy a unique part of America.

Some friends and I came up in early January for an outing filled with skiing and good times. The cabin was way better than the pictures show. If anyone is thinking about taking a trip to Montana or the Bozeman area, the Lucky Dog Lodge is the place to stay. Everything was awesome about it. The pricing was also exceptional. Hope you can have a good time there like I did!
