Since long before the American Revolution. Fell's Point has been the heart and soul of Baltimore's waterfront as her original deepwater harbor and shipbuilding Mecca. (Check out the Fells Point Ghost Tour) To this day, The Point remains home to watercraft including tall ships, tugs, and the tourist-welcoming Water Taxis that connect Fell's Point directly to the Inner Harbor, Convention Center, Oriole Park at Camden Yards and M&T "Ravens" stadium.

Located along the brick promenade that winds around the waterfront, Fell's Point has a myriad of dining, shopping, nightlife and playtime attractions, all within easy strolling distance of the National Aquarium, Little Italy, the Power Plant, Civil War Museum, Pier Six, Johns Hopkins and Reginald Lewis Museum.

The Rowe Home itself has been completely renovated and features hardwood floors, ceramic tile, tray ceilings, recessed lighting, original exposed brick walls, a great kitchen and upgraded baths(2). You'll also find a roof top deck with views of the harbor. You will not be disappointed! Fells Point waterfront/nightlife is just a couple of blocks walk...A GREAT WAY TO EXPERIENCE THE CITY! So much to do for the whole family.

Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2008

We are life long residents of Southern Maryland. We stay extremely busy with a small Deli business we started about 4 years ago. As a real estate agent/investor we came upon the oppurtunity to purchase the newly rehabed home in the city and couldn't pass it up.

Why the Owner Chose Baltimore

It provides such a nice opportunity to take the kids to a ball game now and then. We look forward to the O's Games, the great food within walking distance, the Aquarium, and perhaps a football game. They're are so many activities, we haven't even discovered....

We have been here for several days now and still have several to go. This property is wonderfull to say the least. We have enjoyed every minute of our time here. Its a short walk to just about anything you need. Parking is the only problem we have come across but there is public parking, you just have to walk back but its not bad at all. I am so pleased with our stay and would highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a nice quiet neighborhood to stay in. We love all the little coffee shops and everybody we have met has been so nice.

Everything we'd expected

Guest: First time in Baltimore (Seattle)
Date of Stay: 06/12/11 Review Submitted: 07/04/11

The house had everything we needed and was really conveniently located. We walked to everything we wanted to see. We also appreciated the wifi connection and washer/dryer and would recommend the house to others. If we had stayed longer, we would have liked to have an ice cube tray but that is a minor suggestion.

Owner response:It's a great place to get away and see the sights yet still keep that connection to work and friends remotely with the wi-fi!

A disappointment

Guest: Flute Dad (Phoenix, Arizona)
Date of Stay: 06/16/11 Review Submitted: 06/28/11

We signed up to stay for 10 days based on the images and the reviews by others. We were visiting Baltimore as our 12-year-old was going to a flute camp at the Peabody Conservatory. Little did we know that the unit is not kid friendly at all. Our active three-year-old fell a couple times slipping on the steep stair case right off the bedroom. The toilets did not flush and we had to use the plunger several times. The roof-top deck has been closed-off and was unable to be used. It was extremely hot and the AC was incredibly noisy. Downstairs the fan does not work. No internet. We left after just one night and went and stayed at the Residence Inn on Light Street for the same rate and more amenities and also a far more of a convenient location. We requested for any amount of refund for the unused 9 nights and it is now 12 days later we still have not heard from the owner, who is a Maryland real estate agent. Not recommended at all, especially if you have kids or are over 50 as the steep staircase is a dangerous accident waiting to happen.

Owner response:Previous review submitted by departing occupant 1 day prior to this review. As indicated by pictures, this is a two level townhouse with a rooftop deck. Ammenities include hardwood floor and ceramic tile. It has not been child proofed. A high percentage of our guests are Johns Hopkins patients and we have never had a problem. The units are checked immediately before and after to release the damage deposit. The toilets were completely operational, before and after, as well as the new a/c unit and internet. The ceiling fans are controlled by remote, which we found and restored to their holster on the wall in each room. The rooftop deck was closed to secure a loose railing and was reopened within 3 days. I'm very sorry that this property was not suitable for this particular guest. We try very hard to offer an upscale experience and thus far have experienced tremendous success.

Early Spring Stay

Guest: Daniel S. (Maine)
Date of Stay: 03/20/11 Review Submitted: 03/27/11

My daughter and her family and my husband and I stayed at the Rowe House for four nights. It is a very pretty re-done home in a good location. We felt very safe there. The kitchen is awesome! The house is quiet and comfortable and clean and nicely decorated. We would go back again. The only disappointment was that the roof-top terrace was closed for repairs. Luckily, this time of year it wasn't that important! We were able to walk to Whole Foods as well as to the water taxi.

Owner response:It is a great place to get-away and we love sharing the experience. In the process of finding a 'qualified' contractor to install new railing on the rooftop and then we can once again admire the city and the waterfront from above.

I am just returning from a long weekend in Baltimore with a group of six women. We found this home to be well appointed, well stocked, and conveniently located. We recommend this rental and would consider staying here again when we return to Baltimore. I would like to recommend Kali's Court if you are looking for a upscale restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. We also recommend Mom's on the Half Shell in Canton as it is fabulous. Brunch at Meli's is the ticket. I overheard a preteen boy at the next table say, "I will always remember eating this burger; it is the best I have ever had." I agree.

Our first trip to Baltimore and we loved the appartment. Good location in Fells Point area-approx. 4 blocks to water taxi. The appartment was very pretty, very clean and had everything we needed. It exceeded our expectations.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. It was a nice walk to the water taxi and very easy to get to the Inner Harbor. Our three year old had a blast!

We had a mini family reunion of 6 people and were very comfortable. This is a wonderful apartment, well equipped, close to great restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. We would stay here again and recommend it highly. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

This rental property was beyond our expectations. Located near Johns Hopkins hospital (1 mi. prox) and excellent restaurants within walking distance (Salt's is 5-star quality). The owners were exceedingly helpful and accommodating. It is a reasonable walk to the Inner Harbor (15 minutes) where an unlimited number of tourist attractions are located. I would stay here again. (Does not have an internet connection, but there are wi-fi cafes in the area.)
