  We stayed with 2 families at the place in Xanadu. The house is in great condition, super clean. The pool, outdoor shower, and outdoor dining space are just what we needed. The "private" beach down a series of steep steps with Iguanas running through the brush was a great way to reach nature quickly. The cost is on the high-end of what you can find in El Salvador but you get great value... having an in-house assistant for cooking, cleaning, and advice is a great luxury.The bedrooms are clean, the beds are great and they all have separate air-con units. There are great surf options about 2km east and west! There is an upscale restaurant nearby, you can buy tortillas off the street a few km away... but then retreat to the safety (armed guards) and comfort of Xanadu. Normally we stay quite a bit lower on the price/luxury scale but for integrating some travellers new to Central america and having the softest possible landing from the us..this was a great spot.. only trouble is moving on.. other places were a let down after this!

  Amazing! If you must stay, stay here. Left on 11/21/2011 for a stay in November 2011 My family spent 7 days in this spacious home. From booking to leaving the process was easy. We were meet in the driveway by the housekeeper, from there it only got better. Property is located in a private gated community and well secured with roaming armed guards. Access to the beach is either via footpath with stairs (very steep climb back up) or driving a short distance to the parking lot of Club Xanadu. An elevated veranda provides excellent views of beautiful sunrises over the Pacific. I would highly recommend this place.

  We have had an amazing four weeks in El Salvador. Your house and hospitality has been unparalleled . Our children loved the pool and the beach. We had a wonderful time exploring the country. The people we met and the places we visited were beautiful and friendly . What an amazing experience !! sunset at Beto´s was great. Lo Nuestro stayed open late for us several nights. Jessie is TOP NOTCH !! she was an amazing help with the kids and her cooking was delicious. You have quite a find in her. Thank you again

  We were very blessed with a relaxing and safe vacation here in your home. We completely enjoyed Jessie and she took very good care of us. We appreciate all the help with taxis,water and tours. It was fun and totally what we needed. God bless

  The house has everything you need..........except iron, scale :( otherwise everything was very good,security is great, the park from complex is well maintain. Thanks Marta and Carolina

  We picked this location for its tranquility and closeness to surf, but we got much more than we expected. Apart from the 4 minute drive to sunzal to surf a few times a day, and one early evening visit to el tunco (too much movement but accessible if you want it) we stayed in the house. The rooms were great (yummy beds, pillows, linens) and conducive to great relaxation and sleep. The pool was great to dip into after coming back from the beach, and we grilled fresh shrimp on the barbecue and ate it over ocean in the new-feeling wooden deck. Comfy hammocks, a full kitchen with all-you-need, and nice details throughout make us want to return to this house as soon as we get a chance. Oh, and booking with the owners was a breeze- check it out!

  In April, 2012 me and my brother family stayed for 7 days in this wonderful house that has it all spacious and comfortable living room, dining room as well AC equipped bedrooms and more important enough comfortable beds in each room. It is equipped with refrigerator, TV, radio stereo, and washer machine. Due to its location in a private area allows you to feel safe and secure at all time? The housekeeper Jessie is a terrific chef and the cleaning pool employee David as well Jeovany were very helpful during our staying in that house .The house is very clean and a lush, tropical, well-maintain property, all just a short walk to the beaches (Playa El Majahual, Playa El Tunco, El Sunzal). The patio area was great to have right next to the pool for the family and incredible view scenes to the ocean that make you to feel more enjoyable while in there. The house is set up nicely for a small family or larger groups. The sounds from the tropical forest are fantastic. I would highly recommend this property. Marta and Carolina the owners are strait forward and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. They were very supportive to all extent and provide us a variety of traveling ideas and suggestion in the area. The capital San Salvador is about 30 minutes away from La Libertad and easily access to all type of shopping areas and highways. Overall this is a peaceful, beautiful way to spend a vacation. The caretakers of the property were truly wonderful and extremely helpful. My family and my brother family enjoy alot and we will repeat this adventure over again!!!!! Are you looking for a place for a great vacation? You already find one.

  My husband and I and our two daughters, ages six and two, spent 10 days at this absolutely spectacular property. We've stayed in some amazing villas elsewhere in the world and not only is this one comparable, I can honestly say it's one of the best. The layout of the home is perfect with grand common spaces yet private rooms to retreat to. The decor is stunning yet not stuffy or too fancy. Marta is a wealth of knowledge and Jesse is a wonderful chef and all around helper. We absolutely hope to return with our daughters and our closest friends. I highly recommend this property.

  We spent two and a half amazing weeks in El Salvador. The house was conveniently located, great views, steps down to beach, very short drive to restaurants (who were amazingly accommodating -- stayed open late on Christmas Eve for us!!). We brought out 2 year old and our 6 month old and had a ball. They loved the private pool, we had fun building sandcastles on the beach and exploring the rocks. My son and I were up for every sunrise (beautiful) and the sunsets were amazing. Jesse cooked and cleaned for us. She took us grocery shopping and to the fish pier to buy fresh fish. She was amazing with our 6 month old daughter -- I was able to eat 2 meals a day without a baby on my lap!! The owner was fantastic -- she found us a car seat for our two year old, arranged to have a crib for the baby, pre-bought a few staples for the baby and offered to take us around once we got settled. We had some friends join us and everybody had a quiet place to sleep and relax. Truly amazing experience all around. Great country, incredibly kind and helpful people, lovely house, responsive and accommodating owner and Jesse truly made this a great vacation.

  My husband and I and another couple stayed here for two nights, and we absolutely loved it! It's a very beautiful place, the private pool and outdoor seating is also lovely! The beach is beautiful also. Marta provided excellent service for us, and went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She even took us into town to buy some groceries! We were also provided with a personal maid who was so sweet and did anything we wanted done, and more! Yes, we couldn't have been more pleased with the overall vacation. Thank you, Marta!
