Two couples stayed in this apartment for 9 nights and were very pleased. The apartment is very well represented in the ad and we found every convenience available to us. It is located very centrally and close to everything you need. We enjoyed coming back in the evenings to enjoy fresh market dinners and relaxing after a long day of traversing the streets of Paris. The climb up to the 5th floor was long but we knew what was waiting for us at the top-- a very restful and comfortable home. This is the biggest apartment we have rented in Paris. We highly recommend it to other visitors in Paris.

We stayed in the apartment with our 2 year old daughter. It was perfect and soon she started calling it her home. Rooms are large, apt clean, comfortable and very homy. Even our Parisian friends were surprised how spacious the apartment was. You can't beat the location. Annabelle was very efficient with corresponding and gave precise instructions/directions. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the apartment with my two young children and my in-laws over New Years. We had an AMAZING time and the apartment fit us all easily. Very much appreciated the space and use of kitchen and cot for the baby. Very easy walk to the St Paul metro stop on Line 1. Wonderful location to walk through the small shopping streets. A fabulous stay!!!!! Apartment was clean and everything was as promised.

Exactly as advertised, which is good. You can really see the Eiffel Tower from the balcony. Annabelle, the owner, and Miguel, the on-site person were both tremendous to work with. The kitchen has what you'll need if you want to cook breakfasts and simple lunches. It's actually better outfitted than that, but who wants to do complex cooking for themselves when on vacation? The beds were comfortable, the showers hot. We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas, a family of 5 with 3 teenage boys; the location in the heart of the Marais is walking distance to Bastille, metro line 1 which takes you up the Champs-Elysees, food shopping, not overly touristy places to eat, Pompidou Center, Ile St. Louis. Notre Dame is a bit more of a walk, but not more than 15min. I give this property a top rating but there are a couple of things to note: there is no elevator, and it's 92 steps up to the apartment; assuming there are no mobility issues you will love this apartment. Also, while this was no issue for us, Miguel speaks only French and Spanish so if you don't speak one of those communications with him could be a bit difficult. Again, neither of these are criticisms, just things to note in making plans.

I took three teenage girls to Paris for the first time in August 2011, and this apartment was our happy, roomy, light-filled, well-appointed base of operations. My 11 year old claimed the loft bedroom with its view of the Eiffel Tower, and we all four enjoyed both the wrap-around balcony on the main level, looking down on the trendy street with its cool shops and restaurants, and the huge kitchen, where mass quantities of baquettes and confiture from the local magasins were consumed every morning. The owner (darling Annabelle) is terrific, and she returned my security deposit promptly. I will return to this marvelous apartment in the Marais again.

This place is really quite unbelievably perfect. The building is in a wonderful and vibrant neighborhood, and the apartment is large and spacious. We stayed with our kids and it was great. The free telephone and wi-fi are a great plus for those who need to stay in touch with work, as most of us do now.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment! This was our first trip to Paris, and we wanted to be somewhere close to the heart of the city and to experience being in a neighborhood environment. We were not disappointed! Located in the upper corner of a beautiful building in Le Marais, the apartment was spacious and full of light. The stairs were not a problem. The apartment was clean and even more than we expected! The neighborhood is full of wonderful shops, cafés and galleries. It's also a very quick walk to the Metro, Île de la Cité, Hôtel de Ville, Place des Vosages...the list goes on! Very easy to get around and enjoy the city from this location. The apartment owner was very responsive and prompt in booking our reservation. Miguel (the fellow who greeted us upon arrival) and the building's concierge, Anna, were delightful! When we do come back to Paris some day, we will definitely book this apartment again! One note about children - Our 5 year-old son was with us, and he did very well in the apartment. However we did have to create some strict guidelines for him. We asked that he not go out on the balcony alone (it's a narrow one that goes all the way around the outside) and we also talked to him about being safe on the stairs inside the apartment (no socks!). He loved looking at Le Tour Eiffel from the upstairs window at night! We loved it! We can't wait to visit again!

My wife and I spent the entire month of March, 2011 at the apartment and could not have been more pleased. Everything was as advertised. We had guests stay with us for two weeks and the apartment handled the four of us very well. The area near the apartment was a joy; lots of life, lots of restaurants and lots to do. We get to Paris once a year and will certainly try to stay here on our next trip.

Apartment was gorgeous and just as described. Location was ideal, and Annabelle, the owner was helpful and efficient. I can't imagine having a better VRBO experience; they should all be such a pleasure. (the stairs aren't that bad, but because of the stairs and the loft space in the apartment it probably wouldn't be the best choice for families with small children, or anybody with disabilities)

Overall you can't pick a better apt to spend a great vacation in Paris. The apt itself is very spacious and bright will all the french door windows, which open for great ventilation. Living room has comfortable leather sofa and chairs; kitchen is modern and big enough for 4 to eat comfortably at the table, and you still have a separate dining room. Master bedroom is comfortable with large walk though closet and large bathroom. Upstairs loft is small but comfortable with great views of the Eiffel tower and Notre Dame, especially at night. Location is ideal in this section of the Marais: lots of cafes, bakeries, cheese shops, butchers, and even clothing stores literally within blocks. There are a couple of small grocery stores, an excellent gelato place and even a great take out falafel place, all open till midnight and literally 5 min walk from the apt. 3 Metro stops within 10 min walk. The caretaker, Miguel, was extremely friendly and helpful and even helped us get a car service to the airport so we wouldnt miss our flight due to the strike. I've stayed in another apt in Paris but this one was far better.

The owener is gracious and charming. Her apartment relfects this. The location was ideal and made Paris so approchable and easy. The apartment itself is comfortable, well appointed and roomy. I dare say a hotel room with these amenities and space would cost more a night than what we paid for the week. I can't wait to go back. And for the Americans who hate Paris and the Parisians - I think you went to the wrong city. Paris is perfect!

We can absolutely recomend this large apartment & location - we loved our stay here. Apartment is large & accommodated our family of 4 children & 2 adults. All common areas and bedrooms were spacious and comfy; the kitchen was especially large, modern & with all mod cons and exhaustive utensils - very well stocked. Manuel helped us with the luggage (not much english) but the owner Annabel was super helpful on phone + the apartment had guide books and advice on shopping, transport, etc. This apartment is extremely large for Paris. The location is in the heart of trendy Paris and has heaps of expensive shops and great places to eat with trendy Jewish food - we loved the location as it was close to everything to walk and nearest metro was St Paul. The only negative is the steps, but you get used to them - our kids from aged 8 and above made it their holiday challenge. The only time it is daunting is when you check-in, but Miguel helped. I would stay there again tommorrow!

My friend and I rented this fabulous apartment over the Christmas holidaysm and I highly recommend it. It was spacious, extremely comfortable, equipped with everything we needed, and very WARM - which we loved on the 30 degree days. The stairs ended up being much less a problem than we anticipated. Making the rental arrangements with Annabelle was easy and professional. I have rented VRBO apartments all over the world, and this is easily one of the best I've stayed in.

This is a beautiful and well-kept apartment. We stayed here as a group of five for a week in February, and found that we had plenty of room. Annabelle is wonderful in every way, and was always available to answer all of our questions over email. The apartment is very well located, very secure (with a concierge who always popped out to ask us about our day or to offer us directions), and extremely quiet. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this apartment.

This apartment is just wonderful and Annabelle and Miguel are great! This trip was my 3rd to Paris, for work and pleasure. The location was wonderful for sightseeing, getting to the Metro for work, and for seeing much more of Paris than if we had been at a hotel the entire trip. The accommodations were first class, and very comfortable. The building is also so quiet, and the neighbors very friendly. We met 2 neighbors who were gracious and very kind. I would highly recommend this apartment. It is comfortable, in a great area for dining, shopping, and walking to other arrondisements. Thank you for a great stay!

I just returned from a wonderful 4-night stay at your lovely apartment. I was in awe of the accomodations as soon as I walked through the door. The Le Marais location is fabulous; the view from the apartment windows .... breathtaking! Everything we four girls needed was within walking distance ... shopping, restaurants, markets, attractions, etc. And by the end of the trip I was thankful for the flights of stairs, after all that I ate (phenomonal meals and desserts)! And what better way to wind down each day then by coming home and relaxing in the apartment's living room with a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread, cheese and desserts! I highly recommend these accomodations, and Miguel was great. To my girlfriends, thanks for such a memorable experience!!

This is a GREAT apartment!! Restaurants close by, groceries, and the metro is soooo easy, and the best "stop" to catch other trains. There is a pastry shop, where several times we picked up dinner, quiche, sandwiches, and of course, a few treats. Le Marais is a wonderful area, and I would love to move there. This is the ONLY way to visit Paris, coming "home", after a long day of sightseeing. The only bad aspect is the lack of a lift. But, our thighs look better, and I did not gain a pound!!

We stayed here just before Christmas and loved it. It's a beautiful and spacious apartment, the owner was very easy to work with ahead of time and we loved the location. Rue St. Antoine is nearby and there are many shops. Just around the corner are bakeries, butcher shops and many, many cafes and restaurants. We went by Notre Dame several times as it was just a 10 minute walk away. The apartment is on the 5th floor but we found that to be fine - simply ate more to compensate. We had our 2 kids with us and they loved the apartment. They had space and enjoyed the TV on occasion. The kitchen is exceptional and we cooked a couple of meals. I hope to return and will happily stay here again.

Each November I travel to Paris with women friends, leaving husbands and children behind for a few days. This year we rented this gorgeous apartment. Our mouths dropped as the door opened into this light and airy apartment. For three it was more than spacious enough. We entertained other friends who were in the city and were able to stock the cook's kitchen with the bounty of Sunday's Bastille (Avenue Richard Lenoir) market. Magnifique! Close to the subway, near great buslines and positioned well for any needs -- water, wine, crepes or fabulous baked goods -- even a nearby post office. Each of us found an opportunity to speak of when we hope to be back again -- this time with families!

We enjoyed a lovely 10 day stay in Paris, the apartment was perfect for the 6 of us ( 4 children ages 11 - 15). We were there during the excitement of the World Cup, it did get a bit noisy, but I think this was due to the festivities. Great location, all the necessities, spacious. Internet was down during our stay, as well as the phone...would have been nice but not needed. The stairs would be the drawback (96 of them!) but if you're in good health you'll just be a bit winded after spending a full day in the city. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment - its location and open and spacious layout made it ideal for our family of 5. Our sons ages 12, 10 & 6 enjoyed the neighborhood and learned their way around quite easily. They loved picking up our bread at the nearby boulangerie and especially playing in the neighborhood parks after a day of sightseeing, where they picked up ping-pong games with local children! This location is the best you will find on VRBO at any price. The flat had tons of space for my energetic 8 & 10 year old boys. Impromptu pavement football with local boys was the highlight of their trip. I even have pictures of each writing in his journal on the very narrow wrap around balcony with the classic Parisian roofs in the background. They felt so at home in the neighborhood & flat that by the end of our stay they felt safe to stay home watching DVDs (we brought from home) while my husband & I went out late for dinner. Franklin, Annabelle & Miguel worked hard to make our stay in June enjoyable; handling all requests immediately & professionally. Would happily come back en famille or with another couple.

Let me first start by saying that I literally investigated over 50 apartments and hotels before settling on this gem in the heart of Paris. If you are looking for a place to stay in Paris...look no further! I can say without a doubt, that this apartment will exceed all your needs and wants. Location: The location is absolutely perfect. If you prefer walking throughout the city, this apartment will allow you to do so. If you prefer taking public transportation, the Metro is a 5 minute walk away. Cafes surround the apartment as well as excellent Parisian shopping. Feel the need to bring some wine, cheese, snacks or other groceries back to the apartment? Just walk out the door right into numerous neighborhood markets or wine and cheese shops. Amenities: Our party of four (2 adult married couples) stayed here for four days. The large sized common area allows you to share a bottle of wine and cheese with your closest friends while soaking in the breath taking view of Paris. In addition the completely private bedrooms allow you to enjoy the romantic side of Paris in your very own apartment. The full-sized kitchen, washer & dryer, TV, and stereo complete the gorgeously decorated apartment. Information: The information provided in the apartment will satisfy all your needs. Over 50 recommended restaurants, maps, books, telephone numbers, and anything else you may require is all within a reach of your hand. Not only that, but Miguel is only a phone call away to answer any questions that you may have. Take my words, rent this apartment and you will feel like you actually live in Paris.

Our family of 5 spent a wonderful week in this magnificent apartment. The location is perfect. We walked to absolutely every part of Paris. The cafes in the Marais offer variety and the food is excellent. We enjoyed having a late lunch and coming home to the apartment's beautiful kitchen for dinner. The fourth floor climb was good exercise to work off the morning croissants. Having a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher was a real luxury. Every evening we enjoyed watching the lights of the Eiffel Tower from the loft window. The best benefit of this apartment is not only free internet, but free phone calling to the just about any country in the world. I was able to share every day with my elderly parents back in the states. If you are going to Paris, I would not hesitate to rent this apartment. I really don't think there are many like it in Paris.

Reserving this wonderful apartment for my solo trip may have raised a few eyebrows (2 bedrms, 2 baths for one!), but what a great place to host my great escape (from an usual house full of children). I enjoyed every bit of the space and sometimes had to force myself outside. Bright and airy, with every convenience, it was easy to find hours pass in the morning over breakfast, reading up on the places I should be out visiting (in the many guidebooks in the "library"), while a load laundry ran. Miguel was so helpful. His help made negotiation of the stairs, traveling alone with too much luggage, a non-issue. The tips about the neighborhood were a nice touch. I really enjoyed this neighborhood and location within Paris. It was very easy to get everywhere I wanted to go and I really got to know Le Marais on this trip. I will always check on this apartment's availability whenever I have the opportunity to return to Paris. (Franklin was so easy to work with.)

Franklin, We had a wonderful stay in Paris. My 15 year old claims "IT WAS THE Best Vacation EVER!" We were so comfortable in your apartment. It was perfect for our family of 5. We felt like were living in Paris as opposed to "visiting" which is how we would have felt in a hotel. We loved le Marais and all that it had to offer...restaurants, easy transportation options, friendly people, and shopping! The apartment was comfortable and convenient. The information that you had available was very helpful as we navigated our way through Paris. My three children loved the computer and could stay in touch with their friends at home with instant messages and email. Thanks again. If we are able to return to Paris in the future we would certainly return to your apartment!

We only had a short stay in Paris and were very lucky that Franklin had a four day vacancy exactly on the days we needed. We,(five adults), were there March 29-April 2, 2004. Having the apartment really made our trip to Paris. The apartment is light and cheerful, has all the amenities, and is in a terrific location. Franklin was most helpful, answering questions about Paris, suggesting places to see, and even arranging for our taxi to the airport when we had trouble with the French language. The stairs were a challenge, but we managed, even though three of us were in the "golden oldie" category (two over eighty). I can assure you that, if we ever get to Paris again, we will try and stay at this apartment. George and Patti Morrell, Cynthia Morrell, and Dan and Nancy Swanson

This was our third trip to Paris in the last four years and most enjoyable by far, due in large part to the delightful ambience of Franklin Craig's Maris apartment. Traveling with our three semi-adult children, (sons 21, 25, daughter 17) the apartment was a perfect alternative to the generally small and expensive hotel rooms. Everyone was comfortable between the beds, foldout sofa and cot. The 2 1/2 baths eliminated morning traffic jams. The fully equipped and spacious kitchen was wonderful for cooking and provided the opportunity to dine-in with other family that was visiting Paris. We had a wonderful dinner for seven around the table in the dining room. Washer and Dryer was very convenient during our 8 night stay. Highly recommended for those with family or group. Look forward to returning to the apartment during our next trip.

We have just spent three weeks in Franklin’s apartment (Feb.March 04) and we can not say much more than all of the other comments here. It was great and lived up to every expectation. It was more like living in someone’s home than a rented apartment – as though Franklin had just moved out and we moved in. All the personal touches were there – the artwork, the bookshelves, the furniture, the kitchen ….It is light and airy with a feeling of spaciousness - and the location was perfect with so much character the moment we stepped into the street. This apartment really made our holiday. Thanks Franklin

I have stayed in a number of apartments in Paris over the years--from dirt cheap ones that smelled ferociously of dog to wildly expensive ones in which much of our time was spent waiting for repair people to come and fix things. This is without question the nicest apartment with the most obliging owner and the best qualité/prix ratio I have found. The location is marvelous, the apartment is spacious, well-maintained and comfortable, and you feel as much "in Paris" when you stay at home for the evening as when you venture out on the town. We are repeat customers and look forward to our next visit. The only drawback is the stairs, which are a considerable impediment if you have health or mobility issues (or perhaps small children), but since we are from San Francisco and have to cope not only with stairs but also with hills, we are used to it.
