This was the best ever vacation our family has had at the beach. We were very impressed on how neat and clean it was. The furniture was more than the pictures depicted. We all enjoyed the hot tubs. There was plenty of kitchen dishes, pots, pans, etc. The owner was very friendly. The connecting door between units was a plus. The view from the master upstairs bedrooms was fantastic. I will recommend this to our friends. We will be coming back.

This house is a great place for a stay at the beach for extended family, family reunion or large group, or for a romantic getaway. The duplexes have an interior connecting door which is great. There are two BRs on main floor with living, dining, kitchen & deck which was great for grandma who has trouble with stairs. The master BRs are large & absolutely great with an out of this world view of the beach & ocean and a private deck. (I'm bringing my girl friend back for a romantic stay this fall.) The place was clean. It was well equipped for cooking, meals, etc. for everyone. The furniture was several notches above any other beach house I've ever been to. There was plenty of good deck furniture. There are two washers & 2 dryers. Some of our group absolutely loved the hot tubs. Everybody wants to come back here next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Carolina Dream. I was surprised to see that this home had any negative reviews. My experience there was totally different. The home was beautiful. Everything was first class. Nothing was broken. Communication was excellent with the owners. They were very gracious and incredibly accommodating to my requests for information. I would not hesitate to rent this home again.

6 Couples stayed earlier this spring and we all totally loved the beach house and the beach! The place was clean and very well decorated. It was comfortable, kitchens well stocked for cooking, etc. The decks were great for hanging out by the ocean, eating, relaxing etc. There was plenty of parking. Excellent restaurants and shopping nearby. The beach was perfect and uncrowded - heck we almost had it to ourselves! A couple of the ladies thought the bathrooms a little small, but they were immaculately clean. Other amenities TVs, DVD, CD players etc. were great and numerous in most every bedroom with cable.

We stayed on the East side. The house has beautiful views of the beach and the spectacular sunsets. The beach is very quiet and peaceful. Clean sand. There were super restaurants in the area and such friendly people. We are so glad we came. What we liked most was lying in bed and listening to the ocean which is right outside the window of this comfortable and spacious home.

Very comfortable units that a group of quilters used for a retreat. We combined the two groups for the evening meals and thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach. Even late October/early November weather smiled on us. The property has a well-stocked kitchen with a large dining table. Beds are comfortable. Fresh seafood is available close by and there is a more than adequate grocery store. Lots to see and do. Wonderful beach.

Last year, I spent a week at this duplex on a quilting retreat. We all loved it. It was clean, well-maintained, nicely furnished. The kitchens were very well stocked with any kind of dish, pans, or cooking gadgets one would need. The duplex is located in a residential area only on a quiet stretch of beach. We enjoyed the large deck overlooking the water and the large-screen TV's in the evening. Because we rented both sides for 14 of us, we especially liked the double common door that was put in linking the two units so we all could easily pass from one side to another. I was so impressed with my stay that I immediately booked it for my family for this 4th of July and will be going back again this fall for another quilting retreat with my friends. The bedrooms upstairs are large and have large windows with ocean views. I would recommend this place to anyone!

This was a girls getaway for a week in the fall. We had a wonderful time. The beds were very comfortable and everything "worked" that I could see. The beach was clean and not crowded. Plenty of room for all the cars. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. We even enjoyed the rainy day, and the rainbow after the storm was spectacular.

There are things about our stay that were great, and others that were not. Great: location, beach, waves, hot tubs. Not so good: furniture is dirty and/or badly worn (scratched, etc.); carpets were filthy (I wore flip flops at all times after discovering that the bottom of my feet were black after walking barefoot in the house the first day); we fought ants all week on the dining room table and in the kitchen; there was no lamp/lighting fixture in the downstairs bedroom; the charcoal grills were filthy (we bought a grill to use instead of using one of them); blinds on some of the windows were broken and/or had slats missing; the master bathroom shower was decrepit (again, I kept flip flops on instead of being barefoot in the shower). We had a problem with the shower in one of the bathrooms not draining. A maintenance person responded that same day to fix it. Frankly, I am very surprised that there are good reviews at all. We expected quite a bit more, given that it was described as "spectacular".

I actually had my small private wedding at this house last march and I couldn't ask for a more perfect location. It's beautifully decorated, has lot's of space and absolutely beautiful views. My wedding party was able to stay here comfortably. I hope to be able to return one day!

This is great place. It is beautifully decorated. The beach is what an ocean front beach should be, perfect dunes and not crowded. Lots to do in the area and many excellent restaurants and shopping nearby. For what you get the price is far better than anything else we found.
