Still like New - built in 2007! Right-side, 2nd Row duplex with fabulous views from all 4 decks. Beach access about 100 feet away. 1600 Square feet, 3 bedrooms plus a sunroom that can be used as a bedroom, 3 full bathrooms. Sleeps up to 12.
Reverse floor plan—the top floor has a tons of windows with great views, a fully equipped kitchen, large dining area that seats at least 10, living room, a sunroom, great decks with ocean and sound views, and a full bath with a shower.
A 37” Flat-screen HDTV with Cable TV, DVD/VCR, stereo, Play Station2 with games, board and card games, and books are all available for your entertainment. Wireless Internet access is also provided!
Downstairs the Master Suite has a Queen size Sleep Number bed, a private bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower, private deck, and TV/VCR, also with Cable TV. The 2nd bedroom has a Twin over Full Bunk Bed and deck with ocean and sound views. The 3rd bedroom has a Queen bed and deck with ocean and sound views. A full bathroom and laundry room with washer/dryer are also on this floor.
Other perks include Dual-Zone AC, ceiling fans throughout, an outside enclosed shower, a wheeled beach cart, and an outside locking storage area with floats and chairs for guest's use. There's also a card table and folding chairs for extra seating.
Beds: queen, queen, Twin over Full bunk, Queen Sofa Sleeper in living room (sleeps 3), queen Futon in sunroom.

I highly recommend A Mermaids Dream to anyone! Donna was wonderful to work with and the house had all the items that anyone could need during vacation. The house has a beautiful view of the ocean and is just a few steps away from access to the beach. I would definatley stay at this house again!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

Very nice house with awesome views. Very clean and comfy with plenty of room and all amenities you could ask for. Donna was very easy to work with and very helpful. I would def recommend this property to family and friends. Plenty of things to do in the area or just relax and spend time together. Our family will visit again. Great house! Donna was very friendly and accomodating. The area is quiet and sparcely populated, but close to stores and restaurants when desired. The house was very clean, and nicely decorated. I really liked the outdoor shower, as it keeps all of the sand outside. Steps away from the beach. Great views of the sound and the Atlantic. A bargain!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This was the best value I've ever found on VRBO. Spacious and beautiful home, was perfect for us, our 3 kids, and granny. Topsail beach is nice and quiet.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We had a fabulous time, even though there was only one sunny day. The duplex was perfect. It was very clean, had everything we needed, spacious, comfortable and the decorating was fabulous. The views from the decks were great and just a short walk across the street to the beach. We would highly recommend this location. Donna was very easy to work with and helpful. Had a lovely time at A Mermaid's Dream - we had everything we needed, and enough space for all 8 of us to spread out and work. It was fun doing some team-building on the beach.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This is a great family vacation house. Great views from the decks and a very short walk to the beach. The owners were great to work with and we will definately go back. The house had everything you could possibly need and the island itself is a hidden treasure. We were very pleased with our days at this location. It was SO much bigger than I expected. The balcony on the top floor has a clear view of the ocean. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. It was nice to have tp, paper towels, trash bags, on hand. Most rentals don't furnish that. We also enjoyed the restaurant at the pier for breakfasts. It was a great home for the few days visiting our Marine. We will definitely come back when we visit NC.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.
