Our upscale oceanside home has the best in design, amenities and furnishings. Built in 2002, the ground level has paved parking and carport, under house entry, enclosed shower, fish station and a PRIVATE HEATED POOL. For early spring season and fall season guests we can offer you the luxury of solar powered heated pool water or you can languish in the warmth of our hot tub on the deck.
The 1st level features (2) bedrooms, (1) bath, and a laundry area. Bedroom 1 has (2) twin sized beds (sleeps 2) has TV/DVD and playstation game. Bedroom 2 features a pyramid style bunk bed that will sleep up to (4) small children
On the 2nd level, the oceanside bedroom is a king master suite with bath, TV/DVD, phone and covered deck access. Oceanside queen bedrooms open to a screened porch and share a bath across the hall. On the 3rd level WAVE LENGTH's great room has dramatic cathedral ceilings with fans, large windows framing ocean views, built-in entertainment center, gas fireplace and 1/2 bath. The fully equipped kitchen with breakfast island opens to the dining area with vaulted ceiling and wrap around deck access. Bedroom 6 is an incredible king master with private bath, TV/DVD, phone and private deck and crowning WAVE LENGTH is a furnished loft with bird's eye views of surf and sand.
For those who need to stay in touch during your vacation, our house is equipped with wireless high speed internet.
WAVE LENGTH is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with beach access only a short walk across the street, across the dunes, and There It Is! The beach is very private and unpopulated most weeks. For those who prefer not to have the waves, the sound is a 10-15 minute walk or short drive away. You can also enjoy sound access for breathtaking sunsets! Bring your bottle of wine and a camera!
Our property management team is SHORE DETAILS. Led by owners Pam & Rene Stoffel, SHORE DETAILS will ensure that the house is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for your vacation. They will provide pre-stock the house with trash bags, soaps, and dish detergent to get you started For our summer season guests they will have sheets on the beds for you when you arrive. They are also a phone call away to take care of any issues that may arise during your stay. Their motto ‘Because Details Matter’ signifies their approach to our guests.
As our guest you will also be treated to a complimentary PERSONAL CONCIERGE!! SHORE DETAILS, will assist you with all of your vacation planning and how about a CHEF to prepare a meal for you and your guests? Wouldn't it be nice to have your groceries stocked before you arrive (for a small fee)? As guests of Wave Length you pay nothing for the concierge planning service. Another popular family activity is to take the free Hatteras Inlet Ferry from Hatteras Village to explore the quaint fishing village on Ocracoke Island or climb the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse only a short drive away. Ocracoke was named the Nations #1 beach for 2007. In 2008 Hollywood invaded the Island in order to film the new Nicolas Sparks book-to-movie "NIGHTS IN RODANTHE" which features our Hatteras tri-villages, and was filmed in a house in Rodanthe.

Why the Owner Chose Avon
For many years we have heard about the wonderful time that many of our friends have had while visiting the Outerbanks. When we decided to buy an investment property at the beach we searched from Hilton Head SC to Ocean City NJ. We when found the "Wavelength" in Avon we knew it was the right house for us. It offered many of the amenities that other comparable houses have and it is a very short walk to the beach. The spacious rooms and designer decor make the house a great place to get away.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Whether hanging out on the beach that is less than a five minute walk, sitting by the pool, or hanging out in the hot tub, our house is a great family friendly, pet friendly place to go and relax for a week or two. Many of the conveniences of modern day life are right in the area and there are many places to visit that are just a short drive away.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a family vacation on Hatteras Island where our sons chose Wave Length as our "home away from home". We were delighted with the attractive home which accommodated the needs and comforts of three generations. A short walk to a beautiful, almost private beach, easy drives to sightseeing and shopping and at the end of the day Wave Length with its porches, pool, hot tub and plenty of room to be together or to find some privacy apart made our visit a real pleasure. There were just a few areas that could be improved upon. We found one of the showers to have a very slow drain and had to buy drain cleaner to improve the flow. The kitchen was well outfitted except for a good skillet and a can opener. The pool at the house was too warm to enjoy, apparently warmed by a solar heater that was too much for summer weather. We called the management company about this problem but they did not respond. The house was clean and attractively furnished. We would certainly recommend Wave Length to others!

We have been having family vacations at the Outer Banks for a number of years, and this was the best vacation rental we have had! The home spacious and allows for family as well as private areas.The owner was very helpful and reponded promptly from rental to final. The property was clean and well stocked (needs a new toaster and skillets) The nearby restaurants were great and some are within walking distance, beach access is close, day at Ocracoke fun, shopping is close by. Would definately recommend to a friend or relative, just don't want it to become so popular it become hard to rent again for me.We had 4 teens,5 adults and 1 dog, and everyone was more than happy with the home and location.Fishing,swimming,beach sunning, pool, hot tub, porchswing, nice ocean breeze, bike riding, good food, shopping,crabbing, I could go on all day. What more could you want ?

We enjoyed a perfect vacation in a perfect spot. This was our first visit to the outer banks and the house we selected to stay in was fabulous. Everything we needed for our vacation was in the house. The house was clean and well-maintained. Although, we cooked most of our meals at the house, there were several restaurants in the area where we could have eaten. We enjoyed one day trip on the free ferry. We intend to go back - hopefully next year.

Just stayed at Wave Length for a week with the family and we really enjoyed the house. The layout was great and the house was very clean. Found the best spots to be at the pool and up in the little loft above the kitchen. The kitchen was really well stocked with nice cook ware and dishes, glasses. The property management company was available if needed and we had no problems at all during our stay. The home owner was very helpful and we would recommend this rental to anyone who likes Avon. Quiet street and good location.

Have enjoyed this location for 3 years now and will go back again this year! The house is lovely and location perfect for a family vacation. The owner is cooperative and available and any problems that we have had have been corrected immediately. The home is spacious and in good repair. We love the short walk to the beach or the fun at the pool. Would recommend this rental to anyone without reservation.

Have stayed at this house for the past four years - would not even consider another one in the area. It is conveniently located to beach or shopping, has a well stocked kitchen and is kept in very good condition.

My family and I have stayed at this house going on 4 years now and each year have had a wonderful vacation. The accomadations are terrific and the location is ideal. The house is clean and ready for guests upon arrival. The owner is available to answer even the smallest of questions to ensure that our stay is pleasant. We usually stay in for dinner but there is a wonderful fresh seafood place right up the road as well. If you are looking for a concierge and maid service my suggestion would be to go find a Grand Hyatt; however, if you are looking for the typical beach experience and a wonderful week with family and friends, this is the perfect place!

We have been staying at this house for the past few years now and have found it to be everything you would expect out of a vacation home. It is located very close to the beach and has the pool as an alternative. We had a problem with the grill but called the management company and it was replaced that same day. We have always found the home clean and ready for our use when we arrived. The owner has been very cooperative with us as different members have left at varying times on the last day of our vacation. The house is very spacious as we have had up to 15 people comfortably staying at one time. Also, the washer and dryer are a nice amenity.

Beautiful house, I enjoyed our stay, especially the "third floor" room with the ocean breeze coming through the windows that surround the room. The house was clean and spacious. It's location was ideal too as it is in a low traffic area so you rarely have to worry about cars. And then for the best part, the beach itself, which is in a short walking distance, is amazing. It is huge, with white sand, and at night it literally sparkles near the water. Lastly, we found the owners very nice to deal with. Would stay here again.

Upon our arrival we noticed a foul smell coming from the rotted garbage in at the end of the driveway. After walking into the house I realized that it wasn't because they cleaned the house and emptied the debris. The floors looked as though they had not been swept in a few weeks and I've seen cleaner bathrooms at a gas station. The worst part was that I have a 10 month old that had just started to crawl and I was afraid to put him down (not so family friendly). To be fair the cleaning company stopped by and partially cleaned the bathrooms but then refused to clean anything else. After emptying the filled sweeper and doing the floors myself I was able to enjoy my stay but kept my son off of the stained carpet on the first two levels. The house is nice but just lacks the effort that you would and should expect in a vacation home. Spend your hard earned money at another location that cares about the details because "Details Matter".
