It was great. We loved the hot tub. It was relaxing. We loved the dogs that came by. We fed them steak, chicken, hot dogs, ham and hamburgers. The whole family went gemming which was fun. We had a great time white water rafting and playing pool. We had a wonderful time at Sophie's Choice. Great place to stay for families.

We came from Hampton, VA to meet friends from Kansas City, MO. It was a delightful weekend and Sophie's Choice was everything we expected. We couldn't get the fireplace to work but everything else was great. The house is roomy and beautiful. The hot tub was nice and the house was well furnished with everything we needed. Beautiful Weekend!

Thanks so much for the use of your beautiful cabin. It has all the amenities one could ask for. We had a wonderful time enjoying the openness of the kitchen, dining room, pool table and den area. The view is good and the hot tub was an added treat. My family says thank you and go ahead and mark us down for same time next year. As I may have mentioned, we have a family reunion on that weekend up on Deep Creek. Again, thanks. Look forward to next year!

Our third stay at Sophie's Choice was like coming home! Charcoal and Oreo raced us up the hill and greeted us like they knew who we were. We rafted this year and HIGHLY recommend Lindsay as a guide! Plus with the $100 off (for staying 7+ nights) you can't beat the price. Also took a float down the "Tuck" but it didn't compare to the Nantahala. There is a ton to do up here that you can't fit it all in. If you're looking for wildlife then Cades Cove is a must, the 11 mile loop is worth the time. Plenty of hikes and picnic areas to kick back. Waterfalls...head to Highlands and Cashiers. Overall, LOVED the cabin and area - may just build here - Steven & Sue are great if you need them. We'll be back!

As many of you reading this will soon realize, NBK has returned to the cabin. Since July of '08, NBK has taken travels to Europe, the Dominican Republic, up and down the east coast and to Macon, GA as well. Most importantly we have decided to come back to where it all began...Sophie's Choice. The cast of characters have changed but the fun remains. Charlie still likes pancakes. The rafting was once again excellent! We did lose a funyaker, but that happens, haha. Taco Bell needs to open around here, preferably right next to cabin. (See book in cabin for rest of story...very entertaining!) Thanks again for having us back to your cabin. We had a blast and look forward to coming back again. We had more fun than a midget turkey in a cheese cake eatin' contest in Russia. Love Always, NBK

Wow! Had such a great time! Nothing beats the companionship we shared and experiences shared. The cabin was beautiful. I have to say the last night was the highlight and I'll try to stay in the raft next time. Thanks Mom for such a nice cabin!

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful cabin with us! We had a wonderful time and a great nights sleep! The rafting at Adventurous Fast Rivers was amazing. We went without a guide and had a blast. I am sure it would be great any way. There are great shops and restaurants in Gatlinburg. It is well worth the drive. Clingman's Dome is beautiful too and worth the 1/2 mile hike. The mountains were a beautiful change of scenery for us and we hope we can be back soon. Thanks again! With love...

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin - it's beautiful. We enjoyed hiking, train ride, sight seeing. White water rafting was our favorite! Ask that Max at Adventurous Fast Rivers Rafting be your guide. Don't go see Cave's Cove unless you have much spare time. Clingman's Dome is well worth the trip - beautiful from top to bottom.

The men of the Man Trip loved this cabin. Awesome amenitites all around. We enjoyed 2 great days of mountain biking - no injuries but lots of mud. Aside from the exercise, we managed to eat a bite or two of grilled meats and quenched our thirst with some tasty wine. The pool table, hot tub and sweet deck were icing on the cake. Our weekend trip was awesome. The cabin is very beautiful. We enjoyed hanging out with friends by the fire, in the hot tub, grilling out, etc. We were here (group of 10) celebrating Adam's birthday - and it was a blast. The whitewater rafting trip was so much fun as well as the hiking trip. We have enjoyed ourselves so much. We hope to do this annually! Sophie's Choice was the perfect choice for a long weekend getaway with family. The cabin is lovely, spacious, comfortable and has all of the ammenities of a luxury cabin. We loved the peaceful setting of the cabin and enjoyed the companionship of the local "guard dogs" on the deck. They're very sweet and are a nice addition to our relaxing retreat. Sophie's Choice -- What a retreat! We couldn't have asked to stay in a nicer place to unwind and celebrate Steve's 40th Birthday this weekend. Sue and Steven are such special friends and have made us feel so welcomed! The cabin has been such a refreshing experience - the view is beautiful and the amenities so enjoyable. Rafting on the Nantahala River truly helped all cares melt away as well as a warm hot tub afterwards! We have had so many laughs and will never forget this mountain experience. This was our 2nd stay in this beautiful cabin. It was just as memorable as the first stay last year. Within our trip we were graced with sightings of 8 bears, elk, deer, turkey, a fox, crawfish, a salamander, an otter, beaver, pileated woodpeckers, trout, rabbits, ducks, and geese. If you're looking for the most bang for your buck...no pun intended...go to Cades Cove. Most of them were sighted there. Clingmans Dome at sunset had an exciting bear encounter on the drive to it. John (one of the neighbors) was nice enough to bring some vine ripe tomatoes and beautiful roses. Charcoal and Bella were the welcome wagon daily. Great watch dogs and fire side companions. We truly enjoyed the "get away from it all" atmosphere and the beautiful cabin you have here! I'm Olaia and I've been here for a week. I live in the north of Spain and I have to say that this cabin has been an experience for me! I stayed here with my American family from Ohio...And it's the greatest thing I've done with them...Because I had time to know more about them. The cabins in Spain aren't like this!! We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was terrific. We had 2 families with kids ranging from 3 to 11 and they had fun just hanging out at the cabin. The fire pit was great. The pool table was fun. Make sure you go to Deep Creek for tubing. We also had great hikes. We would recommend this cabin to anyone. Thanks for the great vacation. Our stay here was more than unforgettable. Staying here for our senior trip was fantabulous! We loved the dog Shep (Charcoal). He was so sweet! White-water rafting was so much fun! We enjoyed building our first fire and the wonderful hot tub. The cabin is gorgeous. We loved meeting Steven & Sue...everyone in this town is so nice and friendly. We have established that a church van is not the way up this driveway. But it can be done by our great and mighty youth minister/chef/maid/driver/monster-keeper-awayer. We've had so much fun playing pool and cards. And teaching 38 years olds how to text is interesting. We have made great memories here and can't wait to come back soon!
