Just returned from an amazing stay at Sea Winds Cottage. We were hoping for a quiet and relaxing week with our daughters before we send our oldest off to college. Sea Winds delivered beyond my expectations. It is spotlessly clean and well equiped. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever experienced while traveling. We enjoyed the private pool and screened porch. The beach just beyond the cottage is beautiful with surprisingly few people. Micca was quick to respond to any questions prior to our arrival and instructions, information, and contact numbers were readily available at the cottage. We encountered no problems, but I am confident that if we had, they would have been resolved promptly. We have successfully rented from VRBO several times, but this was by far the best experience. I would love to return to Sanibel, and I will keep my fingers crossed that Sea Winds is available.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing.

The Sea Winds Cottage is exactly as advertised. It is very well maintained and equipped with everything needed for a wonderful Sanibel vacation. As we did last year, we stayed in the cottage for 3 weeks and loved every minute. It is very close to the beach and a short walk for Ice Cream. What else could one need? We hope to return again next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Relax, enjoy the beach and have a wonderful peaceful time. This cottage was very well stocked. We've been renting houses throughout FL for vacations for the last 20 years and this by far was the most comfortable, cleanest, and most relaxing! I would give this 10 stars is I could. Everything is close by in walking distance and Sanibel and this cottage is the gem of Florida!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family loved our week at Sea Winds Cottage. It truly felt like we were staying at a friends house -- everything that we needed was provided. What we kept saying the entire vacation was how "easy" it was to stay there. The property was clean, larger than expected, and really, really close to the beach. Some of our favorite activities were walking to Pinocchios for ice cream, fishing off the pier and in the surf, biking, and of course perfecting our Sanibel Stoop. We look forward to returning again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

What a treat it was for my 3 girlfriends and I to spend a fabulous week relaxing and reconnecting at Sea Winds! We were so pleased to arrive and find that every last detail seemed to be attended to. The cottage was very clean, every paper product and all soap products were supplied---even pool floaties were supplied. Both bathroom cabinets had a couple of tubs containing trial size shampoos, soaps and lotions. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware and pots and pans. We especially enjoyed the selection of books and jigsaw puzzles. We spent quite a bit of time floating in the pool in the screened in lanai---just beautiful! It was a great spot to enjoy all the ospreys in the area too. When we weren't in the pool, we were enjoying sitting on the screen porch talking and reminiscing. The one problem we encountered was connecting to the WiFi. That was quickly solved with a brief call to the owner who got us connected. Sea Winds was a great home for our annual girls get-away. I know we would all agree that we would definitely recommend Sea Winds!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Where do I start.....accommodations were extremely clean, furnished with anything you might need for a fun and relaxing vacation at the beach and very quiet. Pool was well maintained and loved the screened areas. Outside shower for washing off the beach was wonderful. Out of the main stream of tourists, but close to everything. It was a great trip and recommend it highly.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed our vacation at Sea Winds cottage immensely. The caretakers are wonderful and thorough. The cottage was immaculate. There is plenty of space and accomodations. The location does not get any better. The yard is exceptional as is the pool. Close to the pier, close to the lighthouse, close to the beach, close to biking trails and everything else. Couldn't ask for a better vacation cottage. We will stay again and again. Thank you! Our family vacation at Sanibel Island was the best. Sea Winds Cottage was a wonderful home away from home and had everything you could possibly need. As always a great place to stay and wonderful owners to deal with. Everything is as claimed and the property is very well maintained and spotlessly clean upon arrival. Deposit was returned within days of check-out. We've stayed on Sanibel several times over the years, always in a condo. We were looking for a bit more space and a location with easy beach access for my elderly mother. We found exactly what we needed at SeaWinds Cottage. The location is terrific, house is clean and well equipped, and beach is an easy walk. Having use of a beach umbrella and chairs was a treat. The screened porch is a great place to dine al fresco or lounge and read a book. Unfortunately the weather wasn't quite warm enough for us to take advantage of the pool, but it was nice to look at! Our visit was over the Christmas holidays and we really appreciated the welcoming wreath and small lighted tree that greeted us when we opened the door. A very Merry Christmas indeed. Hope to return again one day.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We went to Sanibel to relax and were not disappointed! This was a lovely home in a very peaceful setting. In our opinion, you couldn't get a better location: quiet, close to the beach, very private. At Micca's suggestion, we had Billy's Bike Rentals deliver bikes to the home and we biked around the Island on the numerous paths. The full kitchen and grill allowed us to enjoy our meals at home on the patio or around the dining room table. With three full bedrooms, we all had plenty of room. The home was impeccably clean and maintained. Pool toys, beach toys, lounge chairs, beach chairs and umbrellas were at our disposal. During the evening we enjoyed the movies and books that line the shelves of the living room. Clear instructions have been given for the home and plenty of information regarding tourism of the Island and food establishments. We would highly recommend this VRBO and have already done so to many of our friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This place is truly a "home away from home"! It is very well equipped with ANYTHING you might need on your vacation. The beds are all comfortable and the kitchen lacks nothing. Very convenient location on the quiet end of the island. The pool is very well kept and the house is just "steps" from the beach.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Sea Winds Cottage was the perfect place for our family to stay while on Sanibel. It was clean, spacious, quiet, and had everything we needed (and more). When the owners heard we would have our 2 yr old granddaughter with us, they had everything we would need for a toddler already set up. The owners and caretaker were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again. It is a perfect home for a family, or even for a couple on a romantic getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

PERFECT location on Sanibel Island FL -- easy walking distance to the beach, a few shops & good restaurants! The bath rooms & bedrooms are roomy & comfortable. Great screened in deck & swimming pool. Large kitchen & laundry room on the main floor is a plus! Newly added WIFI! Only negative is that the living room furniture could be more comfortable & television is small and complicated! We are on our third year at the Cottage and plan to have many more to come. The property is very well maintained and full of amenities. The pictures do not show the space this place has- plenty of room...even with a gaggle of small children. The beach is just a short walk from the front door- and the shower out by the pool makes it easy to wash off the kiddos! The kitchen has everything-as we cook/grill every night. We have recommended this house several times to family friends...it is by far the best place we have stayed on the island in our total 25 years coming to Sanibel! If you don't stay here you will be missing out!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I actually avoid telling people where I go on my annual two-week vacation. I LOVE the calm, quiet, slow-pace of the island and I LOVE staying at the Seawinds Cottage! I don't want more people populating this restful, relaxing haven. The owners offer all the amenities one would want: a clean, well-maintained property with a well-stocked kitchen (blender, dishes, etc.), library, pool, and screened porch. All instructions are received well in advance of your stay so you'll have no surprises, only helpful information!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This has got to be one of the most vacation friendly homes arounde. It is everything and then some accordng to the description and pictures. We have vacationed here for several years and it just gets better each year. We were very pleased with the immaculate cottage. Every ammenity was available for us. The surroundings were beautiful and the location was perfect for the beach and sight seeing, shopping and dining on the island either by walking or biking. Sea Winds cottage was perfect!!! Cozy, so close to beach, and clean. We truly loved our vacation there. We never left the Island all week! Rented bikes from Billys and rode to grocery and breakfast at the Island Cow, and each night after dinner for ice cream at Pinnochios. The Pool was nice after a day at the beach. collection of movies and books was wonderful. I recommend a day at Tarpoon Bay on a pontoon boat, we saw manatees and a stingray. uik,This is our third year at Seawinds and we love it more each time. I had seen it from the outside for many visits to Sanibel but it was never available until 2008 for the time we wanted it. The house is comfortqble and well appointed. A large livingroom/dining area is an inviting place for all to gather but the porch and pool are nice when you want to read or be away from the group. The beach is a stone's throw away there are beach chairs and an umbrella available. The shelling is fun and the BIG Arts gallery and theater offers many intersting activities. There is good shopping and the restaurants offer varied menus in a casual atmosphere. Of course you can't miss Ding Darling Preserve and the SCCF and CROW for nature lovers.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rate our stay with 5 stars plus! The property is located near the end of a quiet cul de sac street and is spotless, up to date, and very roomy. Just my wife and I were there, but there is plenty of room for more! The Great Room is very large and the attached screened porch is a wonderful way to spend time. AND, the beach is practically right out the door since this is the second house from the end of the street. Out the door, turn right and you will have sand on your toes in about 150 feet! It is convenient to everything on the Island and we never left Sanibel for the week we were there. We have reserved a week for January, 2012, and are looking forward to it. We just hope the FL weather is a little warmer next season!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
