We stayed at this home and I can not say enough about how nice this place is! The owner was so nice to work with and would email you right back. The price was great for what we were looking for. The home was unreal inside. The view from the living room was worth double what we paid for the stay. Folly Beach is so nice and I already want to come back as I'm typing this from the deck of the house. If your still shopping for a place to stay stop because this is by far the best place to stay. Thank to the owner for making this such a special weekend for us

My family and I were looking for an "easy to be" beach house and we found a jewel in Jolly Buddha. The propery is well maintained and comfortable. The location is close, but not too close to downtown for our family. We've just reserved our 3rd year in a row and love the friendly nature of Folly Beach. One suggestion would be to bring a pop-up canopy for some shade if you want to sit on the deck. The beach winds are too strong for patio umbrellas.

When you start planning a return trip before you've left it means you've really found someplace special. This house is a fantastic rental with amazing views and is in a walkable and ideal location to the restaurants and shops on Folly Beach. The decks offer great views of the beach and the fishing peer. Most nights we simply brought food back to the house because no place in town had a better view or more peaceful offering. At night we propped open the outside door and just slept to the crashing waves... truly relaxing. The house has a nice open feel and bedrooms and bathrooms on two floors make having guests easy. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off from the beach as well. Finishings in the house are all tasteful and have a fun "beachy" vibe. WiFi made it easy to check in on work (which, being there for 2 weeks was an unfortunate necessity) and the DirecTV was great for low key nights when we wanted to catch a game. The location was a great jumping off point to get to Charleston and the great tours in the surrounding areas. We did Plantation Tours, a Ghost Tour, a Tea Plantation Tour, Kayaking and visited a winery. Everything was within 30-45 minutes. Grocery and restaurants were just minutes away. Kim, the owner, was very responsive, professional and quick at every point in the transaction. It was our first time doing a vacation rental by owner and she made it a great one. Security deposit was returned without issue and the management company they use was very friendly. Overall, a fantastic experience and we look forward to returning.

The Jolly Buddha is a clean, comfortable beach retreat with all the conveniences we were looking for in a vacation get-away for 2 couples and 2 nine-year old boys. The family-friendly layout of the house enabled us to comfortably entertain, yet still have plenty of privacy. We appreciated the many amenities that made us feel “at home”: comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and accessible laundry area, outside shower with hot water, large deck overlooking the ocean, Direct TV, and high-speed internet. Shopping, visiting the pier, and going out to eat were a safe, short walk to downtown Folly – no driving necessary! The ocean view and quick walk to the beach were our favorites…perfect for both children and adults. Gone are the days of having to lug all the beach gear great distances and having to pack up just to grab a quick drink or go to the restroom…Nice! Needless to say, we’ve already booked our next visit to the Jolly Buddha!

We had 5 adults and 3 kids (3 y/o and under). We went to the beach several times a day and could easily go back and forth. The pier was a short walk. The house itself was well equiped and comfortable. We could have used another bathroom on occasion. We plan to go back.
