Marys Hideaway A "Private Paradise"
Very Private Beach front cottage, and private property surrounding the cabin providing a very private setting. Just steps out our front door we have almost 200' of private sand beach. Out our back door we have almost 15 acres of private woods. The sand beach is perfect for all ages to swim, make sandcastles, play volleyball, and private sunbathing. The lake in front of the cabin tends to warm up very quickly in June thru September due to the constant sun-drenched top water rolling in from the constant wave action. If you have ever traveled along US-2 thru Brevort and seen all the cars parked along the beach that is exactly what our private beach is like.
Spend your days reading books on our private beach patio, making sand castles, playing volleyball, swimming, long beach walks, and at night time spend quality time around our private beach campfire pit admiring the magnificent night sky. On many nights you can see the Mighty Mackinaw Bridge out front and the revolving lights from White shoal Lighthouse. Our area is also known for seeing the Northern Lights and shooting stars.
Go exploring on Little Hog Island located at the end of our subdivision. On the trip you might see rare wild flowers, butterflies, deer, and bald Eagles.
At the front of the hog island beach subdivision is the very quaint Hog Island Country store you can find them on the web. Our children walk or ride their bikes up to the store many times a day for old fashioned candy or ice creams. Marys hideaway is a great place for quality family vacation memories. We're less than five miles from Garlyns Zoo, less than 60 minutes from Lake Superior, White Fish Point, Grand Marias, Newberry, Oswalds bear farm, Mackinaw Island, St. Ignace, Curtis, Taqh falls, and the Sault locks.
