  In spite of the rain, fog and hail we enjoyed our month here. Finding I'm missing it and Portugal. Listing was pretty accurate, living area not as large as we'd imagined. With all the rain we spent more time inside and if we had filled the beds we'd have been short comfortable seating space. It was good for us. The owner and manager,Vitor, were excellent. Promptly answered any questions and helped with any difficulties. Location was excellent in the centre of The Algarve for touring all locations. Loved the markets, beaches and the quiet of the country. Great walks. It was even fun to watch the fog roll in. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet country place close to everything.

  The house was beautiful and exactly as shown on all pictures. Both apartments fully equipt with all things needed for a pleasant stay and a great swimmingpoole. We all have had a great time. Beaches are nearby and you can easlily visit towns like Tavira, Faro, Loule and even Sevilla. If you would like to have a great time in the south of Portugal we recommend this perfect house in which you will find all privacy you need for a perfect stay with your family.

  Our family of 5 adults spent a week at the farmhouse in Estoi and we were already thinking of returning again next year if plans work out. The farmhouse was exactly as pictured in the photos -- extremely clean and inviting. Vitor, the caretaker, was an extremely helpful and congenial person and the owners of the farmhouse were extremely communicative and responsive throughout our rental process. We did have a few problems that were remedied as efficiently as possible and followed up as well. They are good people! Back to the farmhouse...It was extremely pretty and charming, with views of the wide expanse of fruit trees (olive, almonds and an orange tree), as well as the ocean. We were amazed at the number of orange trees, laden with fruit, dotting the Algarve region. We all looked forward to breakfast on the terrace every morning. The farmhouse is well stocked with games and is even equipped with a computer and high speed internet. The mid-November weather was perfect, with temps in the low 60s during most of our stay. The farmhouse location is also ideal, with easy access to the rest of the Algarve region. Our damage deposit was returned to us promptly. Very efficient owners. We loved two wonderful restaurants in Estoi (about 1.5 miles from the farmhouse) -- an Italian restaurant in town owned by Gunther and Katia and one in the local hotel run by a fantastic chef. Sorry; can't recall the names of the restaurant. Hopefully, we'll be returning next fall!

  Our enjoyable stay in the peaceful setting was for 15 nights during early April 2011. The farmhouse was comfortable and well equipped. Our days were mainly spent golfing on the Vilamoura group of golf courses (approximately 20 minutes away), enjoying local lunches, then returning to spend the afternoon by the farmhouse pool, just relaxing and reading books in the sunshine. We did of course spend some of the days touring the fascinating local towns and enjoying the local Portuguese culture. It was nice to have such lovely weather and, on occasions, be able to take a convenient swim in the unheated pool. We have no hesitation in recommending this particular VRBO rental for a relaxing vacation.

  This was our first renting experience from VRBO and we were a tad bit nervous about it. However, the house was just as described, the pictures were 100% accurate and our overall experience was delightful. I e-mailed/talked to the owner and he was always very responsive and accommodating. In addition, the caretaker in Portugal had everything waiting for us, was always available if we had any questions and could not have been more helpful. The home was well furnished and the kitchen was very well equipped. Our damage deposit was refunded in full within 5 business days of leaving the house. We only used the larger side of the house, as there were just two of us. The smaller side would be perfect if another couple or family was with you. We did go in and look at the apt and again the pictures reflect exactly what it looks like. We would give our total recommendation for this property. We found the location to be convenient to visiting nearby towns (both coastal and inland) and daily we would take excursions to explore. We did take 2 nights and go to Sevilla (Seville), Spain which was a 2 hour drive from the house. If you have not been to Sevilla, take time to go as it is a beautiful city with great architecture and steeped in history.

  My husband and I stayed at this villa with another couple for 4 nights and it was easily the highlight of our whole trip to Spain and Portugal. The photos do not mislead in any way. It was exactly what we were looking for in the middle of a whirlwind trip so we left the villa rested and happy. The owners are extremely pleasant to deal with and are very prompt in providing information or replying to inquiries. The directions and instructions they provided allowed us to arrive at the villa easily and know just what to expect. The villa is also stocked with all the conveniences hoped for, much better than a hotel of course. We did all of our food/wine shopping in the nearby town of Faro (great prices!). It was so nice to have an entire place to ourselves. And the pool came in very handy for cooling off during the hot day. The surrounding grounds are beautiful, rural and serene, and there are even herbs growing outside the house that we used each day. We were happy to have a clothes washer, and there is a clothes line on the property as well. We didn't even need to use the living room or dining room during our stay and spent much of of our time out on the shaded patio area at the large dining table near the pool. There is plenty of seating outside, as well as loungers by the pool. We also grilled our food each night on the outdoor charcoal barbecue. The furnishings at the house are very nice; in no way does it appear to be furnished with "hand-me-downs". The furniture and decorations have a rustic charm and seem thoughtfully chosen. The linens on the beds are also of good quality and the beds very comfortable. We spent some time in the nearby town of Faro, which is very nice, with shopping and cafes, and the waterfront. We did not spend any time in Estoi, but there are some wonderful Roman ruins to see on the edge of the town. We were mostly interested in spending as much time at the villa as possible. All in all, we were very sad to leave and hope we can return sooner than later.
