Why the Owner Chose Healdsburg
Healdsburg is a town you quickly fall in love with -- we sure did! Our 25 acre property was a fixer-upper with a compound of 4 homes, 2 barns, no landscaping and 20 acres of unplanted farmland. Our 4 kids thought we'd lost our minds when we sold our beautiful home nearby and bought this property.
Now that the houses are refurbished, the landscaping is gorgeous and the vines are in...they "get it." They say "we had vision"...we say, "we're living the wine country dream and loving it." We offer affordable lodging for visitors in our upscale wine country area -- they can save money and dine in or zip to a nearby restaurant in less than 5 minutes.

Location is everything -- we are 1 & 1/2 miles from Healdsburg Plaza. We enjoy the same activities that our guests enjoy: nearby golf, wineries galore, Healdsburg Plaza, great restaurants and near perfect weather. Our guests are invited to walk through our private vineyards.

We had a great stay at the Wine Country Home. The deck had incredible views and we enjoyed our breakfast (courtesy of Costeaux Bakery of course!) outside each morning. The rooms were comfortable and I can't event state how CLEAN the house was. The location is great- we walked into town a few times to get our exercise in. We love Healdsburg and have stayed at several different locations in and around town...this was one of our favorites!

Two couples spent a week at the wine country home. It was wonderful! The house was well equipped. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is perfect; very close to the town, yet the feel of being in the country. The views from the deck were delightful and you can even take a stroll in the vineyard. The gardens around the house were incredible. This place is a jewel. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed in the Country Home to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. The house was furnished very considerately, with comfortable beds and couches, AND an awesome fireplace, which was a rare treat. We cooked big breakfasts in the kitchen very easily, and the hot tub was so nice. Had a great view of the vineyard, which you can explore, and is really, incredibly beautiful, and really surrounds you in a "wine-country" feeling. The location is close to downtown, but I would plan for about 20-30 mins of walking. Highly recommend this place - will definitely be going back!

Couldn't have a better location for quickly finding Healdsburg Plaza and all of the amazing Russian River Valley wineries. The photos and description are most accurate. The owners answered emails rapidly and were always welcoming of questions. We loved the remote controlled brick fireplace that warmed the room in minutes upon arrival. The games and puzzle were appreciated too. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials and we cooked a lovely four course Christmas dinner. The hot tub was immaculate as was the entire home. The home felt so cozy and inviting that we didn't mind the rain. One of us is a photographer and loved taking photos of the remarkable birds every morning. Our experience really felt like a retreat, so quiet and lovely were the surroundings. The aviary with the cooing doves and parakeets was steps from our back door. Loved waking up to the sound of birds every morning. Beds were super comfortable. Thank you. We will recommend this lovely garden retreat spot to our friends and hope to return someday. Make sure you stop at Bella, Rodney Strong, J, Selby and Williamson wineries. Some have tasting rooms right on the Square. Enjoy!

We were four girlfriends on a weekend getaway. The Wine Country Home exceeded our expectations. The views of the vinyard and the gardens were beautiful and we were able to wander freely through both. The home was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. Healdsburg had great restaurants and shopping as well as nearby wineries for tastings. We all would highly recommend this rental.
