Seagrove Retreat, your lifeline to rejuvenation, is located in Caribe Pointe on the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean with spectacular ocean views and sea breezes.This newly built property has an open Island Home feel with gentle cool breezes circulating throughout from the French doors and the Island handmade louvered shutters. The Main House is 2500 square feet with three bedrooms with three bathrooms ensuite all opening to the wrap around porches. The large Master Bedroom upstairs opens onto a porch with spectacular views of the Caribbean. All bedrooms are air conditioned with private bathrooms. The large open kitchen is built around the spacious Island Bar and flows onto the entertainment area, the dining room and a study/game room with steps leading to the pool, deck, and the Gazebo. Laze on a chaise around the pool and view the beauty of the Caribbean. Barbeque on the gas grill from local fish caught on the Island.In addition to The Main House, Seagrove Retreat has a Boathouse which is 800 sq.ft. This cottage has the same Island home features, an open kitchen/family room combo opening onto the porch built over the water. There is a large kingsize airconditioned bedroom with an additional queensize automatic inflatable bed for children or family members. Swim and fish off the deep water dock, launch your kayaks and kayak through the mangroves and up to a quaint restuarant.

- We have a deal with East End Divers who will pick you up on our dock and take you diving. We also have Clyde and his water taxi to take you all the way up through the various channels and villages through the mangroves to the North side of the Island, up and around the east end and back. Georgeous trip.

We are Paul and Julie Michau. We live in Beaufort South Carolina and stay at our home on Roatan three months a year. We bought land and built our dream low country house, with wrap around porches to maximixe the specalular views and sea breezes. We love the fact that we can get there from home to home in under 5 hours. Be snorkling, fishing, kayaking,and swimming. How beter to Live!! Love!! and Relax!!

The Seagrove Retreat is an awesome experience and a great place to stay when visiting Roatan Island. The home is extremely well maintained and clean with lush gardens and an awesome pool which overlooks out into the sea. The house is set-up so that you're never without an amazing view of the ocean and the bay which the house sits on. Each day I jumped into the sea with my snorkel gear on and swam out towards the ocean for some first class snorkeling. I also got ample use out of the owner's kayaks which are user friendly. Perhaps, my favorite activity was fishing off the dock towards evening time with a cold Port Royal in hand (local Honduran beer). I never failed to catch, and I am not a big time fisherman by any means. Junior and Franklin a grandfather and grandson duo who manage the property are truly Roatan treasures. They both have ample tales to tell about the island, and are more than willing to educate visitors about the treasures of Roatan and about the various Island activities. If you want a vacation that offers the perfect mix of relaxation, peacefulness, and adventure then Roatan and the Seagrove retreat are the place for you.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

This was our first trip to Roatan and we were not quite sure what to expect. All of the people that we met were very friendly and very willing to share their experiences and love of the island. The home, Seagrove Retreat, is everything that the web page makes it out to be. The home itself is beautiful, and the views can't be beat. If you are looking for a location that is peaceful and private, with great views, we would highly reccommend Seagrove. The owner, Paul, was very helpful in suggesting various activities, all of which were great. If you are a diver, Roatan is incredible, you could go diving every day for a year, and never visit the same location twice! The reefs are prestine and completely surround the island. There are several close by beach resorts for which all you need to do is buy a drink (although we typically would order our lunch which would be brought out to us on the beach), and this gives you full use of their beach and pool facilities (it's kind of like top resort hopping, but having your own private retreat to return to at the end of the day). I highly reccommend renting a car for the duration of your stay, because Seagrove is not located in the hustle and bustle of the more touristy locations, and we found driving on Roatan to be very scenic, and not all that difficult (I was the driver and found driving there fun). Other activities we enjoyed was kayaking (right off the dock), their pool (great to cool off in the early evening), swimming off the dock, zip lining (first time for us, and it is awesome), shopping (fun for my wife and daughter, I would people watch), dining out, touring the island, and probably our favorite, just sitting on the various decks of the house enjoying the views, talking, and the tropical breezes. We stayed for 2 weeks, and could have easily stayed 2 more, and enjoyed the island so much that we are looking to purchase a 2nd home! The only concern I feel is necessary to mention, is there are a lot of steps to access the house, for the property is built down the side of a hill...this adds a great deal of character, but if someone in your group has a physical disability, this will create a problem. For us, we considered it good exercize to help burn off some of the meals we were eating :)
