La Finca del Bosque is a beautiful, comfortable house with all the modern conveniences and a lovely heated swimming pool, located on 70 acres in the mountains of Cerro Azul with ocean view, spectacular sunsets and cool mountain air. There are hiking trails on the property that go through the forest or to the waterfall where you can see monkeys, birds galore, and native animals. On our farm horseback riding is available and our horses are calm and well trained. A guide will take you on a tour of the mountains. In Cerro Azul during harvest season you can tour the coffee factory or watch how sugar cane is transformed into sweet delights.
Just 40 minutes to the best beaches in Costa Rica: Playa Carillo, Playa San Miguel, and Playa Coyote where there are few people and lots of sun and sandy beaches. It’s just 2 1/2 hours to Arenal Volcano where you can view an active volcano. If you stay at the lodge there overnight you can see the lava flows and listen to the rumblings of one of Costa Rica's most famous spots. Heading North about 2 hours are the northern beaches of Tamarindo, Flamingo, and Coco, with lots of shops and people from around the world.
