This peaceful redwood cabin shares the property with two giant Ponderosa Pine trees. We are located on one of the most beautiful and quiet streets in Twain Harte, just steps away from downtown shops , pee wee golf and restaurants. Pondering Pines Cabin sleeps 8 with 2 bedrooms, a sleeping loft that serves as a third bedroom and two full bathrooms.
Many Californians know Twain Harte as an excellent vacation destination for families. Some of our renters are third generation Twain Harte vacationers! Sunny days spent at the beach at Twain Harte Lake are the stuff of dreams. Winter days can be spent at Dodge Ridge Ski Resort just a ways up the highway. Pondering Pines Cabin features full lake membership. Twain Harte Lake is a large swimming lake with fishing, diving boards and water slides. There is a full snack bar with burgers and famous snow cones and ice cream.
--Winter, Spring and Fall Rate is $160/night with a 2-night minimum.
--Holiday weekends have a 2-night minimum at 175/night. Holiday weeks are $950/week or 175/night with a 3 night minimum.
--Summer rentals by the week are $950/week or 175/night with a 3 night minimum. Summer weekly rental check-in is 4 pm on Saturday and check-out is noon on Saturday. Summer rate is from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.

We hope to continue renting the cabin to all of the previous renters and especially to all newcomers. We will try to make your stay a great experience !!
Why the Owner Chose Twain Harte
My family has been vacationing in Twain Harte for about ten years now. We were looking for a vacation place that had everything. Twain Harte is that place. Twain Harte offers a beautiful swimming and fishing only lake, restaurants within walking distance, Pee Wee golf, hiking trails , golf course , movies in the park , only a few hours from the bay area , snow skiing and much more. Its been a long time dream of mine to own my own vacation place in the mountains. With the support of my wife we were able to make it work.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Our cabin is located on a very quiet street yet its within walking distance to restaurants , pee wee golf and your morning coffee and fresh baked scone !!!. Its has a large deck and sits on about 1/4 of an acre. The cabin was built in 1937 but has all the comforts of home. YES it has central heat !!!

The cabin was just as described with all amenities included! We were so pleased with our stay that we will be returning as soon as we can. Twain Hart is such a cute community and has a welcoming atmosphere. The cabin was perfect for our family get away. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

We spent a wonderful week at the Pondering Pines Cabin in February. The cabin is very comfortable and organized which made our stay easy and fun. It has a big living room with two couches and a wood stove for reading and hanging out. A large dining table for lots of friends or family to eat and play cards. The kitchen was the best outfitted cabin kitchen I have seen with everything needed for great meal preparation and the bedrooms very comfortable with warm blankets for cold winter nights. There is a very large deck that would be great for summer meals and evenings. The owners were very helpful and responsive to all our needs. We will be back.
