What an incredible location, beautifully decorated, coffee in the AM overlooking the ocean, great options for beach access. Really a home away from home, everything you need for a perfect vacation. Dana Point is beautiful, close to everything, but quiet and relaxed. Go have a drink for Sunset at the Ritz, you will never forget it!!!

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Although my husband and I had been to California in the past, our 4 teenagers have never been there. This condo was wonderful! It was a 10 minute walk to the beach with beautiful views from the condo. The decorating style was very tasteful. The condo had plenty of room for the 6 of comfortably at the kitchen table and in the family room. The kitchen had all the essentials. This condo is very centrally located. During the week we went to San Diego Zoo (1 hour away) and we went blue whale watching at Dana Point Harbor (we saw whales-amazing!!!). We went to LA twice, once for the tour (Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica Pier etc) and another time for Venice beach and Universal Studio CityWalk (both very neat for teens). We went to Strand beach, San Clemente Beach, Laguna beach, and Huntington Beach. We can't say enough about this wonderful home and our phenomenal vacation! I highly recommend it!

Southern California Beach House - Dana Point.

Just got back from 2 weeks at the Beach house in Dana point and thought i would write a review. Its always a concern when you are taking the family to accomodation that is booked online - you just dont know what you are getting into. We arrived at night, but as soon as the kids saw their bedrooms, the smile on their faces said it all. My wife loved the 4 poster in our room and the en-suite has a real wow factor. In the morming, we saw a fantastic view from our bedroom patio and realised just how close we were to strand beach - no road noise from teh PCH and the house is way over to the beach side of the niguel terrace development. The kitchen was well kitted out (my territory when on Holiday) and the living space is very comfortable and stylish. Perfect for a family of 4-6 and the location is ideal for touring southern california. Very well priced too (especially when you consider you are just yards away from multi-million dollar mansions on strand beach) and we had real difficulties with flights and cancellations and the owners were very very accommodating. Book it with confidence - i dont give reviews normally - this is a frank description and i hope it will be helful to someone.

We spent a great week in the condo and found it lived up to its online pictures. It was beautiful, clean and had a well appointed kitchen to cook in. We also appreciated the boogie boards and beach chairs as the beach across the road and down the hill (which is a big one but has a nice paved pathway to access it) is spectacular. The condo is less than 10 minutes from 2 grocery stores and close to many shops, restaurants and the harbour. We took an excellent whale and dolphin watching tour from the harbour and ate an outstanding pancake breakfast at RJ's restaurant, another harbour-area highlight. We were within an easy 45 minutes to Disneyland and about 1 1/4 hours to LAX. The only issue that we had was that the children's rooms were very bright inside at night. They both have windows facing into a common walkway between condos and there are two lights outside the windows that are on all night. Though the rooms have blinds, they don't block the light, only filter it. We resolved this by buying black out sleep masks for our teens. We highly recommend this rental. It feels very much like a well-loved home.

We stayed in this condo for 11 nights and loved it. We have two toddlers and a newborn, so it was nice that the condo was on the ground level, and that there was a washer and dryer available! The kids loved the bunkbed, and the views from the other two rooms were perfect. The pool and hot tub were easy to get to and comfortable, but Strands beach was one of the best! Absolutely beautiful and it seemed there was less traffic there, probably due to the steps to get to it. The nature trail just up the street was a nice addition as well... made for some beautiful sunsets. Thank you for the fabulous trip.

Great Southern CA Home Base

Our family of five (kids' ages, 10, 17, 21) had an awesome time during our 10 days in Southern CA. This property was a perfect fit for our family's diverse ages. It was a real treat to be able to have a temporary home base that was so wonderfully decorated and comfortable to live/vacation in! The flat screens in every bedroom was a major plus. Not a single complaint for this very clean and well equipped property. The walk to Strand Beach wasn't too bad at all with the new elevator. When not heading to Disneyland or The Queen Mary or shopping in Newport Beach, we would be down at Strands Beach. A very comfortable and family friendly beach, as Southern CA beaches go. We would highly recommend this property to anyone!

We live in the area but were in transition on houses. This place has an amazing, location and is clean and spacious. The Owner's were great to work with and we will recommend the place to others coming to town to visit.

My family of five just returned from a fabulous vacation a Dana Point. As my husband said it is like a hidden gem! Coming down the steps to the beach, our mouths hung open to the most stunning beach we have ever seen. We went every night to see the sunset as a family. The condo came complete with boogie boards and sand toys that our 4, 6 and 10 year olds took full use of. The condo is just beautifully decorated. There are 2 gorgeous very high end bathroom, with great showers. The beds and sheets were very, very comfortable, everyone slept great. Each bedroom and the living room had it's own flat screen TV which my kids loved. The kitchen, again was gorgeous, we were able to have breakfast and dinner at the condo which saved us so much. There is grocery shopping very close by. The actual area of Dana Point is so nice. We loved driving back from Disney or the San Diego Zoo at night to the beautiful sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean. We loved having our coffee out on the patio in the morning listening to the waves. We also went on the Dolpin and Whale cruise down at the harbor which was a highlight of the trip. Beverly was so wonderful to work with, she always got right back to us with any questions and had so many great suggestions. We also had 2 great meals at the Ritz Carton and Splashes in Laguna, both with unbelievable ocean views. I can't say enough that this is a wonderful place to stay in a spectacular area. Disneyland is just a half hour away. We drove up to Laguna and Newport beach, which are very close by. I can't wait to recommend this condo to family and friends!

Our family spent our Christmas/New Years vacation at this beautiful Dana Point Condo. The condo is just as beautiful as the owners described it! Beautiful decor, wonderful bedding and award winning sunsets! The location was perfect for travelling to San Diego and Los Angelas for day trips. The owners were extremely accomodating and very easy to work with. I wish we were still there. The weather was gorgeous. Being able to swim in the outside heated pool in January was quite a unique experience. Overall, this is the place to vacation. The condo is breathtaking and extremely clean along with very high end appliances. Don't hesitate to stay here!!

Just returned from a lovely week in this beautiful Dana Point condo. The owners did a wonderful job remodeling -- all of the furnishings were beautiful, and the location can't be beat (an end unit closest to the ocean). There were 4 adults (us and my husband's parents) and our 4 year old son. It was very comfortable for all of us - our son loved the bunk beds and we loved the master suite (beautiful bathroom and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever had on vacation). The condo is in a prime location -- near the beach and between Laguna Niguel (where the Ritz Carlton and St. Regis resorts are located) and Dana Point. It provided easy access to everything -- we even went to Disneyland (30 minutes away) and the San Diego Zoo (1 hr away). Also, the owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. All in all - a great experience. I would highly recommend this condo.

As a family of five we always book villas or condos for our vacation and I can honestly say this is easily the best we have ever rented. It suited our needs perfectly. The position is fantastic, waking up and going to sleep to the sound of the ocean was amazing and the beach was in easy walking distance. The property is beautifully furnished to a very high standard with everything you could need including beach chairs and boogie boards which for us travelling transatlantically was a great advantage. . Although our children are older it was also great to see that small children were catered for with childrens plateware and cutlery etc. We would not hesitate to visit again or to recommend it to friends or family

We loved our Condo in Dana Point. The furnishings were great and it was in a great location. The beds were very comfortable and there were flat screen tv's in every bedroom and living room. It has been updated and was a great place to stay. I would definitely recommend the condo. The owners are easy to deal with and answered all of our questions promptly. Our deposit was returned approx 2-3 weeks after we returned. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!!

Our stay in the Dana Point beach area was so much fun. My husband and I and our 4 adult kids and our infant grandson spent a week there. The owners were easy to work with, very friendly and accommodating - we were even able to reach them on the phone to answer some questions after we arrived. We loved the contemporary flair in the decorating - looks totally new inside - and the condo was immaculate. It was nice to have the pack and play provided as well as beach towels, beach chairs and many extras not ordinarily provided. The ocean views from the master bedroom and a second bedroom are beautiful. I suggest you to have a car - the walk to the beach is breathtaking but it is difficult to lug all your beach gear and impossible with a stroller. This really poses no problem at all - there are so many beautiful beaches all within a short drive of the condo (where you can park) - as well as shopping everywhere. My son was able to find surfing lessons close by and he and my son-in-law loved catching the waves at a nearby surfing beach. There are many wonderful restaurants close by - some overlooking the beach - and the kitchen in the condo makes it easy to cook meals in. We want to come again as soon as possible - we will highly recommend this condo to our friends!

Owner response:For guests with small children or those who don't want to walk down to the beach...you can take the funicular! It is the only one in all of Orange County and is just across the street. It is like an elevator that you can use to go down to the beach...a big help for those carrying a lot of gear!

This is an extremely lovely condo that was ready for us upon arrival for our Christmas holiday. For the last 10 years, we have been using VBRO to pick out rental spot in that area and I can honestly say this was the best vacation rental we have used. It was clean. Everything was in excellent working order and the little stuff was there - laundy detergent, garbage bags, dish soap, and cleaning supplies. Only groceries were needed! Definitely the place to stay if you just want to relax upon arrival and feel at home. Kids loved the TVs in thier rooms when the weather wasn't nice!

This place is absolutely fantastic. They have really thought of everything and the details here are what count. It's comfortable and perfectly decorated, brand new everything and has wireless internet which was seamless and flat screen TV's in every room. It's a very short walk to the beach and you can hear the ocean waves crashing at night. I can't wait to go back!

This condo is absolutely beautiful. You can tell it was professionally decorated. I have 3 girls and they loved the bunks and desk to do homework and watch videos. The Dana Point area is gorgeous. You won't be disappointed.
