Stay at "The Roost" on Turkey Chase Lane, (there's a reason we named it that!) Our home has a great mountain view from 2 sides. It's very quiet here.
We have a lot of wildlife: turkey, deer, coyote, raccoon, skunk, bear, and a variety of birds.
At night, you can see the stars! We're within 3 miles of the Appalachian Trail, 10 easy miles into town.
Living areas are large, has a total of 1900 sq ft. inside; a wraparound covered porch extends most the way around. There's books to read, games or cards to play. Take a nap! Relax!
We have 3 bdrs; 1 with 2 xtra-long beds that can be made into a king upon request, a double, another with 2 twins. We have a crib and twin bed in the m. bedroom sitting room, as well as a love seat and TV.

Year Purchased: 2003
Gary and I are fortunate enough to have retired here to this beautiful piece of property. We have 76 acres, most of it wooded. There's just enough work to keep Gary out of trouble! We lived in The Roost for 2 years while our house was being built, and want to share this lovely area with others.
Gary and I have 2 adult sons, both married. The oldest has 2 children; a girl and a boy. We love to spoil our grandkids. We have 2 dogs: Sally, our rescue dog that is part German Shepherd; and Scooter, our Shih Tzu. Our housecat is Sylvester, the barn cat is Randy. Then there's all the "varmints" we feed......
Why the Owner Chose Franklin
It's not that we chose to buy a vacation rental here, we lived in the house ourselves, but not anymore, so decided to rent it out so as to share it and the area with others.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We think the best things about staying at "The Roost" are that it such a great place to getaway TO. There's no phone---noone can bother you. No computer hookups, so you can't come up here and just stare at it. (The kids can play outside, run in the woods, whatever.)
What is mesmerizing is the view, you can sit in the rocker and while away many hours. Or, you can go to many of the attractions in the area, then come back and chill!
