Escape to the serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains. "Gobbler's Roost" is named for the numerous wild turkeys that are often seen in the Little Water Falls area of the mountain.
This is a new (2008) beautifully decorated cabin with a fantastic view. It is perfect for a quiet weekend retreat or an activity-filled vacation. There are numerous opportunities to see wild life and nature at its best as you take a leisurely walk or you may decide to take advantage of the two stocked- fish ponds in the area, venture out to one of the nearby creeks,or even to the New River.
After a fun-filled day of hiking, fishing, shopping for antigues, visiting nearby museums, historical sites or whatever you enjoy most, return to your home away from home where you can use the gas grill or decide to check out one of the local restaurants.
For those who need complete quiet and peaceful "down time", both the upper deck and the lower patio have broad views of the changing seasons in Virginia. The upper deck also has a hot tub - a great place to completely relax or you may prefer rocking or swinging your cares away on the lower patio.
We think you will agree after your visit that "Gobbler's Roost" is definitely the place for you and that the surrounding area has many and varied activities to enjoy.

Why the Owner Chose Fancy Gap
We are both Virginians and enjoy the mountains whenever possible. We had a beach house for many years and wanted a complete change which the "serenity of the mountains" provides.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
One of us grew up in the area; therefore, we have relatives and friends nearby.
