We want to welcome you to our Honu'Apo Hale! In literal translation Honu'Apo means "caught turtle" and pays homage to the name of the land quadrant where Waiohinu is located. Hale means "home" or "house".
EXTERIOR: You'll enjoy the cleanliness and comfort of our brand new custom home on nearly eight acres! From the full-length lanai you'll be able to sit in tranquility as you marvel at the ocean and mountain views. You'll listen to birds and may be fortunate enough to see nesting in the trees nearby. On the opposite side of the house, you can enjoy outdoor dining while taking in the koa forest The half-mile trail loop will get your morning started right, or, provide a nice evening stroll. On this trail, take note of the naturally growing cacao trees. Soon they will be producing fine chocolate.
KITCHEN: Here you'll be able to make your gourmet meals, or, just throw a pizza in the oven. Most everything you'll need is there. You'll feel pampered with the granite-slab countertops, stainless steel appliances and upgraded glass stove top oven. And, you won't have to settle for low-grade pots & pans, mis-matched glasses & wine glasses. Your comfort is what we had in mind when we brought in the programmable Cuisinart SS coffee maker. Go ahead sleep in, the coffee will be ready when you get up!
GREAT ROOM: What spaciousnous you'll feel here with the vaulted ceiling and extra-large windows! Whether you're sharing stories around the dinner table or relaxing on the sofa and chairs, you'll feel connected to the island any time you turn toward the grand windows and slider.
BEDROOMS: Luxuriate in the queen bed of high quality linens, choices of pillow types and the cool breeze flowing through the open windows. And, if that's not enough, just flip on the quiet ceiling fan for added cooling. You'll wake up refreshed and rejuvenated!
BATHROOMS: Sharing? Yes, if you want to. The large fully-tiled shower with a seat and double sinks in granite-slab allow you to share!
With all there is to do on this island, you'll be sorry you didn't have enough time to stay in this house.
GARAGE/LAUNDRY: If you're used to being spoiled, go ahead and use the remote control to open up the two-car garage and pull in. Don't worry, there's plenty of room to do your laundry with our full-size washer & dryer. And, just to make it easier on you, we've included the laundry detergent as well.
OTHER AMENITIES: one bedroom has a large walk-in closet, the other has a large closet. Both have nice clothes hangers. House also has an iron and full-size ironing board, hair dryer, beach towels, bath soap, blender, mixer, toaster-oven, we even provide soft tissue! Oh, the WATER! It is not on a catch-system as a lot of the island is. We are on county water--VERY RELIABLE!
I'm sure you also care about our planet, as we do. So, we've had a start with solar hot water, along with recycled and natural fiber products used where possible. And, we don't plan to stop there! We're looking into wind power and better ways to recycle what's thrown out.

How wonderful is Hawaii?!! We had an excellent stay here at your home. After touring the whole entire island, we couldn't think of a better place to stay than South Point. So tucked away and peaceful. We felt like a real member of the Hawaiian culture. If you do anything here in south Point, go down the road (South 14) and before you veer left there will be a cliff to your right w/diving platforms. There is a really cool "hole in the earth" and it is also fun to jump off the cliff! We also thought that the boat ride see the lava was amazing! You won't get this close any other way! (lava Roy excursions) Another exciting adventure is kayaking to the Captain Cook monument and snorkeling... great! Thanks for sharing this lovely home. We will recommend it to anyone!
