Located at the light in Au Gres, this 7-bedroom "4-square" brick home was built by Harry Frank in 1925. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. It's much like the old tourist homes that dotted the country in the 40's and 50's.
This is the perfect gathering spot for family reunions, weddings, funerals (Forshee Funeral Home right across the street), groups in town for special events (car show, fishing tournaments, Pirate Festival, etc). Walk to restaurants and other stores/shops ... and several golf courses close by. New bonus: 15 minutes to casino in Standish.
Each of the bedrooms is theme oriented. Five have a queen size bed (one of which is a water bed); one has 2 twin beds, and the other has a full size bed. Shared baths, so rental to groups only. Enjoy the antiques and respect that many are family heirlooms of the owner passed down several generations.
There's a small family/game room with guitar and 2 pianos, card table. Play an old-fashioned game of carom!
In the owner's 18 years as proprietor of the Guest House, many have found it to be their "home away from home" and elicits memories of being at "Grandma and Grandpa's." Share family time together in a relaxed atmosphere or gather your friends for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life ... reasonably priced so you have money for gas to get here! |
