  Staying in Bolinas was a weekend I did not know was possible in the States. As an east coaster, this weekend sold me on the majesty of the California lifestyle. Everything was beyond beautiful; the environment, the people, the details to the town. The quite and relaxed location to this home was key. Set right on the beach, we had the opportunity to people watch with privacy. The quality of the beach-goers were great. Serious yet laid back surfers and local families enjoying the day with their large dogs occupy the beach during the day, not loud tourists. In the evening, the water washes up right under the rental property, ensuring privacy when you look out to the most amazing cove view with San Francisco in the background. The kitchen in the property provided for a wonderful family style cooking experience in the evening. The few ingredients we forgot were joyfully picked up at the local store, a short stroll away. In the evening, we met fantastically friendly locals at the local bar who shared stories and bits of history of the area and who, most importantly, did not hold being "out of towners" against us. All in all, I can not be more appreciative of the opportunity to experience California the way I did my weekend in Bolinas!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  This beachfront property is in a word, incredible. I can personally vouch that the prime location in the sleepy & unique town of Bolinas makes for the perfect relaxing getaway! I spent the weekend there with 4 of my girlfriends, sipping wine in the hot tub, reading on the lounge chairs, taking an afternoon nap in the sun and cooking and watching movies together. The spacious house/property allowed for plenty of privacy but also had great indoor and outdoor areas for all of us to hang out as a group. One of the most interesting parts was the collection of photo albums and article clippings that give a history of the famous house. Bolinas is also a nifty spot to explore. I walked the entire town taking photos and captured some awesome views just a short drive away on a fantastic hike. At night, we walked up to the one and only "Smiley's" schooner to listen to some live music. We were lucky to have a very beautiful January weekend but it does get a bit chilly, so I'd recommend bringing layers. This place is amazing. The weekend was the perfect balance of fun and zen. I'd definitely recommend and hope to go back again soon!

  The home and location is everything in the pictures, and more! Spectacular house, the pool, decks, patios, fabulous media room, and gourmet kitchen. Wonderful, serene ocean setting, in an interesting, quirky little town. The best of everything.

  I can't tell you enough how wonderful it was to stay in your place at Bolinas. It was absolutely perfect for what I needed to do. Given that my goal was to stay put for 2-3 days and work on my business, I couldn't imagine a nicer place to do it. Every time I looked up I could see the surfers and the waves. Just out the window were the sounds and smells of the ocean. It was perfect. It was also very productive as I came away with a very clear vision about where my business is and where I need to take it next. Thanks again to you for giving me this opportunity.

  This house is absolutely wonderful. We've stayed there with family and friends several times. Everyone who comes is awe struck by the location and the beauty. Bolinas itself is a quirky little town with a couple of restaurants and stores. All in all, this spectacular house, and all the surrounding areas, represent a one-of-kind vacation experience.

  My husband and I and our 5 year old son have spent many summers here at this beautiful home!! The yard is completely fenced in for the little ones which is fantastic and the pool and ocean are always a big hit!! The amazing media center downstairs is a favorite for all in the evenings after a magical sunset out on the many decks! This home is stunning and it will always keep us coming back. We have created many fond memories there!

  What a magnificent place. Worth every penny! Incredible views and wonderful open spaces around the property. The outside area is the most relaxing place to be. My family and I loved it. A great peaceful getaway for your family. Tim McWilliams

  My wife and I love Bolinas and have been going there for years. When we got engaged a couple years ago, I had the choice of proposing here in the Bay area or in Bali at the Four Seasons where we traveled to the very next day. I chose Bolinas and this insanely magical house. There's really no place like it. This house is VERY special.
