Our 2650 square feet single-story Poipu Kai home is located on a quiet cul de sac and is a one-minute walk to renowned Shipwrecks Beach and its hiking paths, and the Grand Hyatt Kauai, its Poipu Bay Golf Course, Anara Spa and fine restaurants.

The owner of Grand Hyatt International from Chicago chose our Poipu Kai home with its private swimming pool for his recent stay on the beautiful island of Kauai.

Our home's concrete construction creates privacy within the spacious home and is a nice cool change from the island's typical "board and batt" construction.

Our Poipu Kai Home has an open living, dining and kitchen design, two suites, den and media room and is furnished with a casual elegance. Comfortable custom furnishings, Hawaiiana artwork, hardwood and slate floors, an excellent audio system - inside and out, and a gourmet kitchen with a Viking six-burner gas range and dual ovens.

Both suites include a Simmons Beautyrest king bed with fine linens and beautiful bathrooms with custom ceramic tile.

The third bedroom is furnished as a den and includes a handsome work space with high speed internet access, as well as a Simmons Beautyrest twin bed for a third sleeping area for one.

The media room features comfortable chairs and ottomans and a 50 inch HD TV, HD channels including HBO, DVR and stereo system. Its inviting window seat looks out onto the large kidney-shaped swimming pool and pool-side lounge chairs. The third bathroom is located off the media room and provides easy access to the pool. Quiet Hunter ceiling fans throughout.

The outdoor entertainment area includes a dining area and a Weber gas barbecue. The lava rock walls, bamboo fencing, tiki torches, tropical landscaping, and a private outdoor shower completes the outstanding yard.

Massage therapy, grocery shopping and private chef services available.

"Coastline Cottages has done it again. Their Poipu Kai Cottage is so beautiful yet comfortable. We plan to return again and again. We relaxed by our landscaped private pool, bodyboarded at Brennekes and Shipwrecks, hiked the oceanfront Mahaulepu trail, golfed at the Poipu Bay golf course, soaked in the deep tub, and slept great every night in the wonderful king bed. We had fun cooking in the well-stocked kitchen while listening to our tunes over the sound system. We enjoyed the short walk to the Grand Hyatt Kauai and all their restaurants. Sushi Night at Stevensons Library was great. Laura arranged for an in-house massage for my husband while I enjoyed a facial at the Hyatt spa. Steve said it was the best massage ever. We have been recommending Coastline Cottages and their Poipu Kai Cottage since returning home to Vancouver and we just bought a 50" TV. We were totally spoiled by their Pioneer 50" HDTV. Watching the Masters was amazing. What a week. We will return - the sooner the better."

There was a monk seal on the beach nearly every morning. And grabbing a cup of Starbucks coffee on the terrace at the Grand Hyatt was a nice bonus.

We scheduled Joy for massages. She was so wonderful we scheduled another session before we left, and we are still talking about her.
