We had a great time at this secluded cabin with everything we needed in excellent working condition. Hot tub sunk in the deck allowed for great relaxing views of the mountains. It's hard to believe you're so close to Atlanta. The cabin is at the end of the road and in the tree tops so you feel like you're so far away from everything.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Great Cabin! Amazing Wildlife!

We spent 10 days at the cabin at the end of April. The cabin was just as pictured in the listing, although the hot tub has been moved up to the main level on a new deck with a gorgeous view of the mountains and glass panels instead of wooden slats on the deck railing for unobstructed views. We saw amazing wildlife fromt the deck, including deer, wild turkeys, and lots of birds. We also saw a mother black bear nursing three cubs a little ways down the road from the cabin. I contacted the owner a few times with questions before and during our visit and he was always very quick to respond and very helpful. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

The cabin and the property it sits on is absolutely amazing. This would be our second time at the cabin and we look forward to going back. During the spring the cabin is very secluded, not so much in the winter time though. But thats okay because we had a gorgeous view of the lake. There is a lot to do around the area, we saw a lot of waterfalls and caves. With a pool table and hot tub there is plenty of fun to be had. I would recommend this cabin to anybody. I do have to say that the drive way is a little steep and kids and older might have trouble getting up it

This was a lovely home and my husband and I will gladly rent the home again. Everything was exactly as promised. The photos accurately portrayed the home and the property was clean and well maintained. I contacted the owner on several occasions with questions and he answered me back promptly. We will gladly recommend this home to our friends and relatives and are, in fact, planning another vacation there next year Although we did not utilize them, there was a lovely golf course and tennis court, as well as a pool. It is within 10 minutes from town. Security was also extremely helpful. It was a great experience.

AMAZING!!!

There are so many adjectives that I could possibly use to describe the experience that myself and guest had at this location. When I thought cabin, immediately my head filled up with images of the homes from Little House on the Prarie, but quite contrary. This is a mini mansion hidden behind the walls of light golden wood planks. As we approached the community, we were greeted by the friendly staff at security. They registered us and handed us a map. As I stood there turning the large green sheet up paper upside down/rightside up, the security guard offered to lead the way to the rental. I'm so glad that he did because with the time change, it would have been very hard to read a map and navigate to our destination. Once we arrived, everyone dropped the mouth in astonishment. The unit was gorgeous. We had a great time. The views were breathtaking. We always had a chance to watch a family of doe journey and follick in the woods. We also took time to go fishing at the dam. Overall, the experience was truly delight from the arrangements with the owner of the property to the maid service. All the previous reviews about this property are greatly accurate, in which helped make our decision to rent completely comfortable. This is a great place to stay. We will be back!!!

You know how you find something great, and you want to tell everyone about it? And then you think, "well, if I tell everyone, maybe it won't be available the next time I want to use it?" Yeah, so this is one of those situations. This is a gorgeous cabin perched on a gorgeous site. The photos don't do it justice. The back deck looks out at a daytime skyline made up of sky, clouds, and craggy peaks, and at night, the moon shines through the uppermost windows in the living room. You can look all around you, and only barely see the rooflines of your closest neighbors (who aren't very close at all). We booked this cabin with very little lead time, and after hearing so many people tell us they couldn't possibly get all of the paperwork completed in 48 hours, Rich (the owner) managed to take care of everything in about 15 minutes. The furnishings are clean, comfortable (the bed in the upstairs bedroom is better than anything you'll find at the Westin) and stylish without being precious or pretentious. The loudest sound I heard was the crackling of leaves as my dog romped around in the surrounding woods. We played games, hiked, watched movies, cooked, and spent a lot of time drinking coffee and wine on the deck, but if you wanted to do more, the owner provides plenty of information about area attractions and outdoor adventures. Just go. Except please don't go on the weekends I'll want to go. Because then I'll be sad that I told you about my new favorite weekend getaway.

Beautiful Cabin with Amazing Views!

This cabin is one of the nicest rentals I have ever rented in Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. It was clean with updated appliances, counters, and bath fixtures. The view was so lovely and there is no other cabin visible during the summer. We saw deer and turkeys every day and we even saw an owl. The elevation is one of the things that makes the cabin special and it does have a very steep driveway. We were very intimidated at first choosing to park at the end and walk up each time. However, we became used to the driveway after a few times driving it and we started parking in the driveway. We felt very safe as it is in a gated community with a manned gate, and the owner is very kind and responsive. Overall I highly recommend this rental.

The description and photos of the cabin were very accurate. The cabin was very neat, clean and comfortable. Once there you did not want to leave to go shopping or touring. The pool table and the spa were great. We had our own nightly "fireshow" made up of 100's of lightning bugs. We enjoyed the wildlife and the wonderful view we had of the mountains. What a wonderfull place to enjoy the peace and quite of God's creation. We diffinitely recommend this property. We certainly hope to visit again.

This house was ideal for celebrating my sister's-in-law weekend before "i dos." The house was so spacious and cozy for our party of five. We loved lighting the candles and dining in. The view at dusk and dawn was incredible. We traveled further for Amicola Falls and shopping. Both trips were about 30min apiece. The menus left in the house got us out twice to explore Jasper's fine dining (Dinner and Breakfast). It was an excellent experience. I hope to return next time with my family.

Baby's home away from home

When my baby daughter was born and her mom moved to Bent Tree, I needed a local place to stay to visit her. The first few places I tried were dirty, boring, ugly, inaccessible, or all. Luckily, when my dad came to visit the baby, I found him this beautiful cabin. I have stayed here ever since and it has become the place my daughter knows as daddy's house. The cabin is clean, well kept, and full of the charm and amenities I always look for when staying away from home, especially in a mountain cabin. In addition to being a great place to visit my amazing daughter, it is a great place to take pictures as the interior and exterior are equally beautiful. The view, full mountains and a bit of lake at the right time of year, is breathtaking. The upstairs bedroom is especially nice with a memory foam king bed and a small veranda off the bath for that extra special view, the main level a comfy queen, and the lower level two singles are perfect for kids or extra adults. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. When baby goes to sleep, there is plenty to love with a nice fireplace, blazing fast wifi, large screen TV with DVD, satellite, and surround sound stereo, pool table and a clean, powerful hot tub downstairs. The owners of the cabin are helpful, courteous, and responsive to their renters' needs. Access is good except in the worst of snow storms, though the novice mountain driver might decide to park in the cul-de-sac rather than brave the steep driveway. I can only hope that when it comes time to find my own North Georgia home, I can apoproach the quality of this cabin.

Great secluded cabin

My wife and I just had a very enjoyable stay at Rich's cabin. The views were fantastic and the cabin was perfect for a romantic weekend getaway with our two dogs. Very comfortable and all the comforts of home. Extremely pet friendly and you can tell that in the Spring and Summer that you would not see any other homes/cabins. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Rich was very responsive and accommodating and easy to work with in making the reservation. Please note that the driveway is very steep as advertised but was ok to navigate in the dry conditions. Any snow or ice and you'll have to park below and walk up.

Great Getaway

We had a great time in this mountain getaway. The property has a wonderful view of the mountains from the living room and decks. The hospitality was great. Hot tub was already warming when we arrived. The kids had a great time exploring the woods and mountains. Wildlife everywhere. And, even though is was secluded you still get the activies of Bent Tree. (Stables, Tennis, Golf, Small Lake, etc)

We stayed here with our 2 dogs, 4 adults, and 3 kids last fall. The first thing you will notice is the EXTREME driveway. They could easly put a ski lift its so steep! It didnt bother us much, except when we had to walk up it. lol The kids and dogs loved climing the mountain the house is located on, and the adults enjoyed relaxing and cooking in the very nice kitchen. The pool table room is not very big, and has two twin beds in it. We made it the kid room. It was nice because its the only thing on the bottom floor so we could not hear them upstairs, and they could be loud and roudy with out disturbing anyone. It's in a nice neighborhood with all of the houses very spaced apart. Nice waterfall near the lake that was a 20 min walk from the house. This home is very well taken care of and very clean. I would recomend this home to anyone who doesnt have a hard time getting around.

First Impressions are So Important

Upon arrival the Security Guard at the Main Entrance stated that the previous renters had not yet checked out, we proceeded to the Cabin anyway - thinking maybe they departed from the alternate exit. There were no cars in the drive way, but the Garage Door was left open and the Interior Door was left unlocked. The Cabin was filthy, surely the Maid hadn't been there. We called the Owner to advise of the problem and to reconfirm our Sunday 3pm to Sunday 11am reservation - who then called his Agent - the Owner couldn't reach the Agent, but said he would do his best to reach the Cleaning Service. An hour later we were still standing in the driveway. Then the prior renters returned with an extremely insincere apology and proceed to clear out as quickly as possible. We called the Owner again - he hadn't heard back from the Agent, but offered to contact the Cleaning Service again. Another hour goes by and then the Maid arrived to the same mess we were greeted with when we arrived to at our 3pm check in. The Owner did offer to pay for our dinner, it would have gotten us out of the Maid's way - but we had our Dogs with us, so it wasn't possible. The Maid did a quick cleaning, but not really through. He was nice enough though. Putting all this behind us, the Cabin was as wonderful and the surroundings were as beautiful as the other reviews mentioned. We did enjoy the Lake, the Mountain, the city of Jasper, and the Apple Festival in Elljay. Then the Maid showed up again on Friday at 11am to clean for more New Renters. We advised him that our reservation was from Sunday to Sunday. He excused himself to the deck, made a brief call and then apologized for the confusion. He did wish us a continued enjoyable stay. We advise the Maid that we would probably be leaving early on Saturday, just in case another reservation were to arrive on Saturday. We could not imagine putting anyone else in the same uncomfortable situation we found ourselves in when we arrived on Sunday. We are still awaiting the promised partial refund for the inconvenience from the Owner or the Agent.

Owner response:The prior guests stayed past checkout which resulted in confusion for the maid service. The maid service returned within less than 2 hours after they were notified. We apologized profusely for the mix up and placed a check in the mail to the guests for $75 for their inconvenience.

Perfect Rental

I can't express how wonderful this rental was. First the neighborhood itself is spectacular. If you want winding mountain roads with deer at every turn this is the place. There are absolutely no neighbors within sight and the view from the upper balcony with the lake and mountains cannot be beat! We had teenagers with us, and they were continually entertained with the waterfall/swimming hole (jumping off waterfall even though its against rules...kids!), fishing in the lake, hot tub, pool table etc. The house honestly couldn't be nicer! Beds, at least master was amazing. Great for multiple people or couples because everyone has their own deck and living area. Owners were easy to work with and very helpful! I honestly couldn't give this a better recommendation!

Very Special Hideaway

My husband and I stayed in the beautiful cabin May 1,2,3, 2010. We had a wonderful stay; hiked, sat by the lake, read, lounged on the very comfortable couches in the great room, went horseback riding at the local stables, and ate breakfast and lunch at the local restaurant on the grounds..The 19th Hole..The house was very clean, spacious and lovely. A real find here in the mountains...I would suggest before coming into Bent Tree, that you stop at the local Kroger grocery, and pick up any drinks, food, or things that you might want to cook on the grill...You won't want to leave the house and area once inside this special gated community!

A Truly Enchanting home in a magical setting with the sun setting over the mountains

My husband and I stayed here in the month of March and the forest looked like it was Enchanted with all the branches bare of leaves and herds of little deer popping out from behind trees and coming down the mountain you could hear the leaves rustling under there little hooves.......I felt like I was Goldilocks in the Three Bears house.......The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable when we came home missed it and discussed buying on like it although we have a sleep number bed already.....The hot tub on the deck was terrific and immaculate and I would recommend this vacation home in a heartbeat....We had a terrific time visiting the neighboring towns and just relaxing with a book and a movie in the beatiful family room with a nice fire in the fireplace..........Thanks again......Lynda and Steve Epkins .......We will return.........

The cabin was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. Saw TONS of deer including a lot of fawn, which was fun for our kids, as well as a momma bear and her two cubs!
