We found the location of the condo to be perfect. It was a five minute drive to Vail but away from the resort busy-ness. We loved the view, birds outside the window, hot tub, comfy beds, soothing decor, no shoe policy and all the necessities in the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again, but could not afford it during peak season. Thank you for opening your home to us Karen.

Had a great time at this town home! We had 6 people, ages 16 - 50 and never got in each other's way - plenty of space. The view from the dining and living areas is fantastic. Kitchen has plenty of dishes, utensils, and necessities like a coffee maker and toaster. Attached garage is very convenient. Vail Resort is about a 7 minute drive - also very convenient. The town home sits up on the hillside across the highway from Lionshead. The view from the living area is the Eagle Bahn lift, I believe. While there is a bus stop down the hill from the town home, we never used it, opting to drive and pay the $25 Vail parking fee instead of walking to the bus stop. I never timed it, but looked to be at least a 10 minute walk and walking up the hill after a day of skiing wasn't appealing. There are a couple of grocery stores less than 10 minutes away, which were convenient for getting breakfast foods and other essentials. Some other observations: Every bed could use a new mattress, especially the twin beds. Those mattresses felt like sofa-bed quality. The master bed mattress was way too soft for my taste, but some may like that. Kitchen appliances appear to be from the 70's, but they all worked! We didn't cook much - breakfast stuff and an occasional frozen pizza. Hot water heater probably needs to be replaced - 2 showers max before hot water runs out. Private covered hot tub with a fantastic view is a nice bonus, but the water sure seemed dirty. Chlorine is provided. I suspect draining and re-filling the tub is a non-starter and we were there late in the season. Filter may need cleaning or replacing. The owner, Karen, was helpful, but given that she is a local realtor, I was hoping for a little extra guidance. I've rented through VRBO on multiple occasions, and while I've never had a negative experience, it always comes with a little anxiety. You pay your money upfront and hope that things work out. While I ended up with everything needed, it took multiple requests to get access info to the town home, causing more anxiety than necessary. Requests for restaurant recommendations were not responded to. Request for info on discounted lift tickets came late (you have to buy at least 1 week in advance). Granted, with the internet, we were self-sufficient, but the local touch would have been nice. I've had other owners be much more welcoming. Still, we had a blast and the unit was great. I'd recommend it

Owner response: Todd, I am very happy that your family/friends enjoyed your stay at my home. I am surprised to hear a few of your comments though, and I would like to address that. I have been working out of the state this past season and have not been as available this season as I usually am, to cater to the specific need of my guests, however I have had a very good professional management company taking care of things this season and have a profession hot tub company who maintains the hot tub. The filter was replaced in February and the water was drained and hot tub cleaned at that time. My hot tub gets drained and cleaned every three months, which is the recommended time frame. The beds . . . most people rave about how comfortable the beds are, in fact the guests who just left there asked me what kind of mattress was in the master bedroom so they could get one for their home! The 50 gallon hot water heater is a fast recovery energy efficient unit and was installed in August of 2011. Your comment is the first time I have heard anybody say they didn't have enough hot water. I will check into it. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I appreciate your 4 star rating given the things that seemed less than perfect for you. I will certainly try to step it up a notch and offer more concierge services to ensure all my guests can enjoy a five star rated experience. I hope someday you will come back!

Four of us just got back from Vail. We spent 5 nights at Karen's wonderful home. For one, Karen was very accommodating leading up to the trip - answering all my questions about the house and the town. Then, when we got to the house, everything was clean, and ready for our use (jacuzzi, grill, etc). Every morning, we drove down to the bus stop (1 minute trip) and took the 10 minute free bus trip into Vail Village. When we returned from the slopes each day, we enjoyed cooking dinner and taking in the views of the mountain from the jacuizzi (amazing views!) We really appreciated having our own space, but not having to give up much proximity to the mountain. Also, there was PLENTY of room for more than 4 of us; if we were to visit again, we'd get another couple people. Overall, a very fun and memorable trip to Vail!

We had a wonderful family trip here! Even with 6 people, we had plenty of room for everyone. The views were absolutely stunning and we had a great time sharing meals together in a fully appointed kitchen. Access to Vail for skiing was relatively easy with the bus (not as easy as ski-in, ski-out, but worth it to have a view of the groomers at night from the hot tub!) Karen was SO helpful from the first moment we contacted her, and helped us navigate the shuttles to the slopes. Highly recommended, and I wish we could have stayed longer!

What a great little retreat!! We stayed at the townhome during the week after Christmas and it was wonderful. The bedrooms set-ups were perfect for may family. Just a 5 min. car ride to the slopes! We just loved the views from the Master Bedroom and Family Room. You can see all of downtown Vail. Lots of games to play, plenty of throws to get snuggly with and everything for the kitchen you can imagine. Oh, did I mention the awesome shower in the Master Bath? The beds were comfy too. We will definately rent again from Karen - if we ski in Vail!!!

This condo was really beautifully appointed and just looking out the window was wonderful! We enjoyed watching the birds coming to the bird feeder. We also got to see moose grazing by the dining room windows at dusk. It was amazing! Then on top of all that, we could get in the private hot tub anytime we wanted! The kitchen had everything we needed, and since we enjoyed the condo so much, we cooked in 2 out of the 3 nights we were there. It was also nice to have 3 separate bedrooms each with their own bathrooms since I was with my adult children.

This property really does have the best views in Vail! Our party enjoyed a fantastic President's Day weekend here. The property was extremely well equipped and made for a relaxing retreat after a day on the slopes. The hot tub views were definitely a highlight and Karen has truly gone the extra mile to ensure that guests are made to feel at home. It's the little details that she has thought of that make this property stand out, from the basket of slippers for you to wear around the house, to the pairs that wait for you to wear from the house to the hot-tub, and the chocolates by your bed! Karen was extremely helpful in every aspect and was available to answer any questions that arose while we were there. All in all, Vail was a spectacular resort and the experience was made all the more memorable because we had chosen this condo. I highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting Vail, you will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time at this bright, sunny townhome! It's such a great location~slightly removed from town~but you can be right in the middle of Vail Village in about 5 minutes. Our two younger kids really enjoyed the twin bedroom, and our teenage son loved having his own cozy room! The master bedroom is absolutely beautiful and I can't say enough about the master bath~it was amazing to shower while watching eagles soar above your head! The hot tub and upper deck are perfect~we spent lots of time relaxing up there after a full day of activities! Karen was very friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend this home.

About the owner: I am a local real estate broker in both Vail and Denver. I have homes in both cities. I am also a certified feng shui practitioner and my homes have been balanced energetically for maximum comfort and relaxation! In addition, I am NAR green certified and believe we should all be conscientous about conserving our planet's precious resources. If you are the type of guest who needs to use two fresh towels for every shower taken, and turns up the heat thermostates to 80 -90 degreees, please do not stay in my home. My home is very comfortable but I ask that you turn off lights when you exit a room and turn the heat down when you are out skiing for the entire day. My home has amazing solar energy features with all the windows facing south and Mother Earth will heat the house nicely during the day with her natuarl reaources! I thank you in advance for being considerate and honoring my sanctuary. Please make yourself comfortable and enjoy my little peace of heaven on earth! Visit me at triple w.seekingsanctuariesdot.om

Why the Owner Chose Other Vail Village Properties:
I bought this home primarily because of it's location, views and southern exposures. It is almost always bright and sunny! I feel so fortunate to own this property as it is one of the few end units that has open space next to it and privacy. It feels and lives like a single family home on top of the world, high where the eagles soar, and a place where the deer, fox and moose come to play!

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
This fabulous townhome has a swimming pool that is only shared by 17 units. It is very secluded, peaceful and private. There is much wildlife that grazes right outside the dining room window and the mountain birds are plentiful all year long The town home also has it's own private hot tub on the roof top deck which is great for use in the summer as well as winter. Room for sunbathing too!
