Cute 2 Bedroom Above Garage
Location: Leavenworth, Washington State, USA (10 Minute Drive from Downtown Leavenworth)
Accommodations: Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.25 Baths (Sleeps 4-6)
Perched on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Icicle Valley sits the Marmot Mountain Lodge. With a breathtaking 180 degree view from the rugged Enchantment Mountains to the distant Entiat Ridge, this cozy, comfortable retreat is the perfect getaway near the charming Bavarian village of Leavenworth. Whether you prefer hiking the aspen-covered hillside taking in the wildflowers, watching the hummingbirds on the deck, or just curling up by the gas fire with a good book, this home has it all.
This new 2-bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom home is decorated in a colorful, eclectic, mountain style, and has a master bedroom and a bunkroom that sleeps 4 comfortably, though can accommodate 6 with a hide-a-bed. The deck seems cantilevered over the valley and is a perfect spot to grill dinner, sip a glass of wine, or watch the hawks ride the thermal breezes. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area makes dining in an affordable and relaxing choice. The bath has both a separate shower and a luxurious soaking tub. Herds of deer, families of raccoons, pine squirrels, coveys of quail, flocks of wild birds of all sorts, and the odd bear meander over the hillside providing Mother Nature’s version of nonstop entertainment.
Just 2 hours from Seattle, life slows down and mellows out here in the country. We are just 10 minutes from the Icicle River where you can enjoy rafting, kayaking, tubing, and swimming. A stroll along the canal below the property gives you a full appreciation of the wonderful vistas of the area. For the more adventurous, many more hikes are just 20 minutes up Icicle Canyon. In the winter, a wonderland of snow provides a different host of activities, from sledding and snowshoeing to cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Downhill skiing is just 40 minutes away at Steven Pass or 1 hour to Mission Ridge. Romantic sleigh rides are just 5 minutes from your door. Of course, the quaint village of Leavenworth, just 10 minutes away, offers a taste of Bavarian hospitality with shops, wineries, restaurants, and a variety of festivals. Whatever the season, the choices abound in this tranquil area.
NEW! Hot Tub will be available beginning November 20th!
Absolutely NO smoking allowed anywhere on the property.
