Our spacious, welcoming cabin is situated on 3 acres just 50 feet from the wide banks of clear, rushing, trout-stocked Mountaintown Creek. There are 3 bedrooms, each opening onto a deck where only the nature around you is visible, 3 bathrooms and plenty of room to spread out. Wake up to the peaceful sounds of Mother Nature -water rushing and birds singing. This is a great place for a family vacation or getaway with friends with lots to do for everyone both at the cabin and in the area nearby.
For those who want to get away but still need to stay connected to the world around them, whether for business, school or pleasure, we have wireless high speed internet in our Ellijay cabin. So bring your laptop and you are ready to go!
The cabin is located about halfway between Atlanta and Chatanooga and is extemely easy to reach by major highways and well-kept roads. You can cook in our fully stocked kitchen, use the charcoal BBQ grill on the porch and eat outside on the picnic table, or eat out at one of the many restuarants nearby. Relax in the hot tub in the evening, go to sleep on top quality pillow top mattresses, and wake up to the beauty surrounding you.
The cabin is perfect in all seasons:
SUMMER: Take a break from the heat -relax with a drink or read a good book next to the rushing water. It is always pleasant and cool there. Children love to fish, swim, float gently down the creek, and build dams with the rocks. Many have told us they never even leave the cabin.
FALL: Enjoy the spectacular fall foliage from the back deck of the cabin or take a ride on the nearby Scenic Blue Ridge Railway for even more views. Visit the local apple orchards and sample a variety of different apples, pies and fritters. Gilmer County is known as the apple capital of the world.
WINTER: Relax in the hot tub and take in the tranquil sight and sound of cascading water. Build a fire in the fire pit down by the water in the evenings and roast marshmallows and hot dogs.
SPRING: Enjoy the beauty of the flowering trees in bloom. The snow-white flowers of the Dogwood trees scattered throughout the woods around the cabin are amazing. You may even see deer with their fawns close by.
This feels like a riverfront cabin, but with gradual banks and a depth of only 2-4 feet in the middle, the 20-30 foot wide creek is the perfect size for children to play in or a fisherman to catch trout. There is no access road between the cabin and water so you have your own private paradise.

$150/night for first 4 adults, $15 per person, per night after that .. $900/week.

We stayed for three nights over the Thanksgiving holiday and were amazed at the value. The house was in excellent condition, well maintained, decorated well and is located in a beautiful setting. We are already planning our next trip back to this house!

We stayed for three days and this was a very relaxing and beautiful place. The cabin,river and mountains were great to look at. Also the cabin was very clean and nice. Just needed more furniture and tvs.Over all great place to stay.

We stayed fro three days in May , and it was the most relaxing vacation we have had in ten years the kids had a great time playing in the creek and the locals were very pleasant . we will be back. Was the best value for the money .
