We stayed at the apartment for eight nights with our three children, ages 10, 8 and 5 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The location is outstanding. Two Metro stations within a five minute walk, Rue Henri IV and Rue St Antoine the same. We ate at three restaurants just minutes away, all very good and kid friendly, Cafe Moderne and Les Rempartes on St Antoine, L'Emeraude on Bourdon. Also there is a bakery on St Antoine that we frequented every morning. Two grocery stores, many more restaurants and cafes all close by as well as the Bastille Market on Sunday and Thursday mornings, highly recommended. Notre Dame, the Louvre, St Chappelle, the heart of the Marais all within easy walking distance even for our five year old. The apartment itself is exactly as described. The building is charming. Conrad was there to meet us and answered all of our questions. The apartment was ready, it was clean, all of the beds were made, we were all set right from our arrival. The children were treated to the Republican Guard riding their horses by in the courtyard almost very morning and loved it, we thought we might see them once or twice but they were a regular and wonderful presence. Julia was quick to respond to all of our inquiries beforehand and went beyond the call of duty by booking a taxi for us for a very early morning departure. We were very very happy with the flat and would recommend it to anyone. Its not fancy but its comfortable and cozy and we loved it. Jenn is very exacting in her expectations and she was very pleased. Pat, Jenn and the McLeans

We arrived at the apartment and met Conrad, Julia's assistant. He was very nice and helpful and oriented us to the apartment and some stores close by. The apartment was great for our family of 5 (3 children ages 8-16). The bedrooms had plenty of room for all of our clothes and the bedroom for the three kids fit them nicely with a double bed and single separated by a nice table in between. The kitchen is nice, it was nice having a washer and the bathroom is a nice size. We felt very comfortable there. The location is fantastic. It is so close to the Bastille metro stop which has 3 metro lines that connect there. We loved being about a 5 minute walk to Place de Vosges (we think it is the prettiest square in Paris) and close to Notre Dame and Ile St. Louis (about a 15 -20 minute walk). We loved walking through Ile St. Louis and stopping for gelato. We also had a chance to go to the open air market at Place de la Bastille. That was wonderful! It is open on Thursday and Sundays and it was wonderful to buy fresh fruit, cheese, souvenirs and pastries. There is a small grocery store a couple of blocks away which was nice, as we stopped by every evening to pick up some food for the next day. We also liked the mounted police behind us and enjoyed seeing the horses outside of the window. It was very hot when we were there but their were fans in the apartment and they cooled down the apartment nicely. The area is not touristy which we enjoyed so we could try out our French! I highly recommend this apartment and we would stay again without question.

Very pleasant apartment! Julia had her assistant Conrad meet us to drop off our bags, he and his wife were very sweet and helpful. We were very close to the Bastille Metro stop and the Paris l'Open tour bus stop/city bus stop. Great location! Close to the best bakery ever, just a few blocks away. There is a small convenience store for forgotten items right outside the door. We stayed with 2 teens, one of whom has a disability and uses a wheelchair/stroller part-time, and grandma. The elevator was very helpful, although the stroller had to fold up to fit inside. It was very charming to walk through the outdoor courtyard to get into the building (things we don't see in Detroit!) A favorite aspect: the mounted police RIGHT behind us! Through the kitchen window we could see and hear the horses the clip-clopping by! Loved it! The bedrooms were very spacious and my daughter found the futon in the kitchen/living area to be comfy for the night. The bathroom needs more lighting but I can't even count that as a complaint because we really liked the apartment so much! We would stay again without question.

This very comfortable apartment was perfect for a week in Paris sightseeing with our nephew and his wife, who had never been there before. The location couldn't have been better, close to the Metro, and an easy walk to the river to use the Batobus. There were a number of excellent restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery, and we were able to have everything we needed! The beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean and cozy. Conrad met us there and was extremely helpful, and working with Julia to book was a pleasure. The car service she recommends was excellent as well. Definitely recommend!

This was a great location for my family of four (2 adults, 2 teens). It is very spacious with 2 BR and close to the Bastille metro and bus stops (less than five minute walk). It is walking distance of Notre Dame. There are several grocery stores, bakeries, etc. within walking distrance. Very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Conrad met us at the flat and he was very nice and helpful. The hot water heater is a little tricky - but Conrad explains what to do. Use the car service that Julia recommends. He was very prompt and got us to the airport on time. We'd certainly stay there again.

My sister and I enjoyed our first visit to Paris last May and the apartment was just perfect for our needs. Julia who manages this apartment amongst other properties was prompt in answering our pre-trip inquiries and so very helpful when we arrived. She connected us with an English speaking limo-van service which picked us up at the Paris airport. Not only were their rates very affordable, they provided excellent customer service. The apartment is located within 5 walking minutes (providing you have obtained Metro tickets) from the Bastille Metro stop which connects to other train lines. With a free copy of the RATP Metro map on hand, it was so easy to navigate Paris by train and be amongst Parisians. With a small convenience store on rue de l’Arsenal, a grocery store just within an easy 2 blocks on Rue de la Cerisaie and wonderful bakeries to get our fresh baguettes or pastries each day on Rue Saint Antoine, this was pure convenience. The apartment is very clean, quite at night and is located in a commercial (main floor) and residential building. The bedrooms (equipped with comfortably firm queen-size beds) are surprising spacious whereas the common area ie the living-kitchen-dining room is small but that is very common in Paris apartments. The washing machine was very handy and although there is no dryer, the apartment is equipped with a clothes drying rack, which during May dried within 1/2 day. We enjoyed all our breakfasts and a few dinners in the apartment and found the basic cook wear and amenities quite satisfactory. Previous guests have also added to the collection. We found the canvass shopping cart a nice touch and used it when we went to the grocery shopping. We had a memorable time in Paris and this charming apartment , conveniently located was the right choice for us. We will definitely recommend this apartment to other friends.

We stayed here for 9 nights in June, and overall, we were pleased with the apartment. By Paris standards, this was a fairly roomy rental, with two nice-sized bedrooms, a decent-sized bathroom, and a small living/dining/kitchen area. It was close to the Metro, which made it easy for our family of four to get where we needed to go. The beds were comfortable (although newer pillows would be nice), and the streets surrounding the building were fairly quiet. The only noise we had was from an upstairs neighbor who seemed to be moving furniture around very early in the morning, and on some days, local businesses rolled dumpster after dumpster down the cobblestone alley outside the living room window before the garbage truck arrived. The washing machine worked well (there is no dryer, and it takes a long time for clothes to dry on the rack), and renters should be aware that there is no real oven. There is a small, old toaster oven on the countertop that only has one working burner (the top), as well as a broken temperature knob. The hot water tank is also very small and somewhat temperamental, so we were never sure which one of us would get a hot shower. That being said, it was a fairly quiet, decent-sized place to stay in Paris, which met our needs on this trip.

Staying at this aparment made us feel what living in Paris is like. It has all the amenities of apartment living - the sounds, the smell, and the atmosphere of living in a big city - only it's Paris! We felt very safe, going out and staying out late. Very close to the metro and bus lines, specially metro line 1 and bus line #69 which will take you to all the major Paris tourist sites. The islands are within walking distance. There's a lot going on in and around Place de la Bastille for the young (and the young at heart). During our stay, there was a free concert in one of the nights. The apartment is two-and-a-half blocks from the restaurant "Le Temps Des Cerises", well worth setting aside time to visit. Close to a "farmers" market - check the local listings. Within walking distance to Place des Vosges and you can walk around the Marais to your heart's content. Plus the price is right, especially for a group of 4 or 5. Enjoy!

We stayed at this apartment from 2/22/2011-3/3/2011. We communicated with the manager, Ms. Lebrand, for several months before our stay. She was very helpful, very prompt with email replies. I cannot emphasize enough how nice it was to deal with her. She even recommended a car hire company to drive us to and from the airport---which I'm really glad we used! It made our lives much easier. Her partner met us there promptly on the day of arrival and allowed us access to the apartment early, which I was grateful for since we were exhausted. The apartment itself is very clean. It is located on the first floor of a residential apartment building. It is a very quiet area, although you can hear horse hooves through the bathroom window at times :) The area itself seems very safe & nice, it is in a good part of town and is very convenient to the grocery store and metro. We are a family of 6, and although it was a bit tight (there are essentially 3 rooms, and 1 bathroom....1 room is a small living room/kitchen combo) we thought it was adequate. I think it is probably best suited for a family of 4-5. As far as the caveats....my only complaint about this place (other than the lack of a dryer, which is listed as being one of the amenities in this listing but there is no dryer, only a washer) was the shabbiness of the linens (towels and sheets). They were very worn, some of them were stained or had small holes in them. The frying pan for the kitchen was badly peeling on the inside, so much so that I did not feel comfortable using it to cook. These are minor things, but ones that can be easily remedied and not very expensive to do so. I hope the owner takes note, as this is a very easy fix and will do a lot to raise the appeal of the apartment.. Overall we had a great experience, and when I come to Paris again I will definitely consider one of the apartments managed by Ms. Lebrand.
