You are renting the first floor apartment (1,200 sq ft), totally private and separated, of this lakefront home. It is only a 2 hour drive from Portland, ME and a 4 hour drive from Boston.
Great Moose Lake gives you 3500 acres of exploring and fishing. This lake is one of the cleanest lakes in the area with a thriving fish population. Typical fish caught are Bass, Pickerel, Perch, Salmon, and Brown trout. If you wish to bring your own boat, you can launch it at the public boat launch 3 miles away and keep it at the 40’ of dock space.
The large front lawn give you ample room to relax in the sun with the family. Have a cookout on the grill with the family or read a book while relaxing on the waters edge.
Summers are great with complete access to all of the many onsite amenities. Sandy beach, dock, kayaks, canoes, paddle boat, water trampoline, kid’s playground, 6 person hot tub, camp fire area, and horse shoes.
In the Fall, this lake is great place to see the fall foliage in all of its magnificent beauty. Going for a hike or bike ride on one of the many trails is great exercise especially when surrounded by the fall beauty. Hunting is a simple walk across the road to 700 acres of forest.
In the Winter, you are right on the main ITS 84 snowmobile trail. An ice shack is provided for the true fisherman who wants to spend the day out on the ice.
You can drive 2 hours east to enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean at Acadia National Park or you can drive 2 hours north to enjoy the majestic mountains of Baxter State Park.
