As usual, a great stay in the bungalow! Great location and all the amenities you would ever need. You just walk in and you're at home. Very clean and well maintained. Large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay in this beautiful house!

The BEST experience we have ever had in all our years of travel. Usually properties are about 80 to 90% of what they tout themselves to be. This one was 110% and we cannot wait to go back. There was not a single detail overlooked. My husband is retired military and believe me when i say we could have cleaned the place from the light fixtures down with white gloves and they would still be spotless. The owners were terrific at giving us inside information on several different places to see and visit. The location was perfect, and we would recommend this property to anyone. We stayed for a week and we called the bed and breakfast we had stayed at in Post Falls, Idaho to recommend it to the owners there, as they had told us they were planning a trip themselves to Kalispel. It is on a beautiful street and so ez to find. PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT

Thanks so much for the wonderful stay! We will stay again when we return to Kalispell. It was quite warm while we were there, but the a/c in the bedrooms made the nights cool enough. I chose not to cook so as not to heat up the house, BUT I simply had to make a peach and huckleberry cobbler which turned out terrific!!!(Hucks were frozen from same guy I bought fresh ones from last year on the way to Glacier...) It worked out well to do it late at night when it was cooler outside...I hope you were able to use all the produce, eggs, etc we left behind(I was afraid they would be conficated at the border)....It's such a great location as we were able to walk to the main street and Ceres Bakery, etc...And we just ate coldcuts and salads to keep the house cooler...Kalispell is a great little town..My husband would like to move there--I'm not ready for those MT winters though!!!!! Thanks again!!!!!

We stayed in the bungalow for a week visiting our children and grandchildren who live in the area. It was everything the listing described and more. The rooms were just as photographed and the house was clean and well-maintained. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives and we plan on staying there again our next trip. We would recommended eating at Wheat Montana as well.

Cute little updated bungalow convenient to historic downtown. Our ten day stay was during an unusually warm spell which was challenging to keep the house cool during the day. The small a/cs in the bedrooms do not quite do the job, but the mornings were nice and cool, so that was helpful. Found two great restaurants in town -- Scottibellis and Capers. In Whitefish, the Whitefish Lake Golf Course has best food in town and if you are there when it's warm, their deck is fabulous for lunch or dinner, and if you play golf, the course is beautiful. In all, a delightful stay.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

Owner response: We're sorry that you had difficulty keeping the house cool, but we do have detailed instructions on our information sheet. Apparently you didn't read or follow them or call us, because one day when we came to clean our vacation rental next door we noticed that you had the windows open and the air conditioners running. You're right that the air conditioners can't do their job when the house is allowed to heat up to the outside temperature. Next summer we'll post the instructions on the refrigerator. They really do work and we haven't had any complaints before.

Away from home for the first time ever, away from family at large at the log home known as the Christmas House... But Tammy provided the perfect nest for our celebration with our daughter --- she had a tree waiting for us to decorate, a pointsetta and a complete kitchen so we could bake together. Thankyou for your attention to the small things that make all the difference !!! We had a joyful celebration, Blessings to you and your family.

A truly cozy bungalow - nicely furnished, very well supplied kitchen, and well-maintained. In a great location - easy walking distance to the old downtown area. This is a great value, and we look forward to staying here again.

Jeff and Tammy have turned what was once a forgotten home into a residence of first class ambience. Their rental is the real deal; unparalled value, quaintness, historic meaning, and perfect location. Forget about spending hundreds more for a showy, vulgar, and ultimately tasteless generic rental. This bungalow far surpasses the mundane lodgings that crowd this website. Simply put, it is a generous slice of comfort coupled with a genuine sense of the past. That the owners respect history is immediately evident, the home was recently added to the National Historic Registry, a fact they take honest pride in, justifiably so. All of which translates into caring from the owners. They call you to find out if all is well, make stops, not to monitor guests, but to make sure you have what you need. Their well honed devotion to detail is immediately apparent in the attention they give to the furnishings, property maintainence, and overall appearance of the dwelling. In short, they grant you all the privacy you want, but are available. None of this absentee landlord status for them, all without hovering. The location could not be better situated. A mere 35 or so minutes to Glacier, Flathead River is but a stone skip away, and the wonderful downtown of Kalispell with its seemingly endless selection of restaurants and first class unique shopping venues is not only walkable, but recommended for such. Doubt my credentials to judge? I was there a month, and that says it all, Bubba. Would I go back? In a heartbeat.

We've had a long history with Flathead region, returning here every year, we have finally found our perfect place to stay. Like so many others we love this charming Bungalow. Everywhere we look we see an interesting feature; the cabinets, the intricate arches, the different light fixtures. You're to be commended for you artistic sensibility and careful craftmanship. Thanks for all the thoughtful touches.

My sister & I were traveling from Seattle with my 2 small boys. This house fit our needs perfectly! The boys shared the smaller room, and we shared the Queen bed. The bed was super soft! The curtains really helped block out the light. The kitchen is FULLY stocked. We even made a roast in the crockpot. We loved the house has satellite tv (thank you!!) The couch and chairs are super soft and comfortable. We were visiting family, and the central location was awesome. We weren't too far from anyone! The house exceeded my expectations! Thanks so much.

I needed an affordable place to stay in Kalispell while attending a 4-day quilting class. The Elegant Bungalow was the ideal place. The name describes it perfectly -- it was spotless, extremely comfortable, and excellent location (an easy walk to downtown Kalispell and about 8 blocks from the quilt store). OH! The bed was dreamy. The owners called to make sure I arrived, that everything was okay, and if I had any questions. I'm already trying to book my next reservation.

This bungalow was our "home away from home" for almost a year. We were building in the area and found this lovely place to stay and be our base while our own vacation property was being completed. We always found it to be cozy and inviting on our many stays there. Being able to bring our pet was a great assest and we would recommend this home to anyone wanting a nice, centrally located place in the Flathead Valley.
