Precious Family Memories Made Here

This was the perfect get away home for us to spend quality time with our parents. The single story and floor plan was great, comfortable beds and furniture and well stocked kitchen with dishes, glassware, pots/pans etc. Fully stocked spices allowed us some fun experimenting when we grilled out on the large deck while watching deer, blue jays and squirrels. Although there were only four of us, the house did not seem too large, yet it would be a great place for larger families/friends as well. The game room provided us with great memories of earlier years playing pool and we were able to get a few games in as well as Air Hockey. Cory even had fishing poles available if Dad hadn't brought his own. (Stream next to Fish Hatchery allows up to 5 fish per person - license required) The weather was great during our stay and the fans & AC really helped. We would like to return in the winter months and enjoy the beautiful fireplace in the living room. TV & Wi-Fi also available although we 'unplugged' from the outside world to enjoy the beauty around us. Centrally located so we could make day trips out to Rainbow Pools, Yosemite, Hetch Hetchy, Sonora, Jamestown & Columbia, the Fish Hatchery down Priest Grade at Moccasin, checking out all the areas in Pine Mountain Lake (Fisherman's Cove, The Grill, Dunn Beach & more) and great spots off the highway to also check out. We always enjoy a good dinner at Cocina Michoacana in town, never disappoints. We have stayed in many VRBO homes in the past and a few up in PML and have had different experiences each time. This was another great experience and Cory was helpful from the beginning and with follow up. We would highly recommend this home to others. Two things we would have liked to have known prior to reaching the home: *Bring paper products & condiments- there is a nearby store with reasonable prices but good to know before you reach the house. (Some places have loads of these items, others not so much) *Construction on a new home across the way was a bit noisy in the front and the deck faces towards Ferretti Road which also can have loud traffic at different times. Once inside the house, you won't hear the noise though.

We stayed here as a party of six (including 2 teenagers) at the end of July 2011. The house is huge with plenty of comfotable spaces, both inside and outside, to sit and relax. We used the house as a base for excursions into Yosemite National Park and we're so glad we decided to stay here rather than in the park itself with all the crowds. It really takes a good hour to get from Groveland to places like Yosemite village but it's great to come back and relax on the deck with a cool drink. We came straight out to Groveland after flying out from the UK to San Francisco and on the way we wondered whether we would be able to buy groceries when we got there. We needn't have worried as the store in Groveland is well stocked with a wide range of fresh food and seems to be open early until late. The kitchen at Journeys End is equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook a full gourmet meal so we ate magnificently every night.

This property is amazing! We rented it for a New Year`s celebration. It is actually better than it looks on the pictures. It`s pretty spacious, but cozy. The owner is very nice. You`ll find a game room with billiards and air hockey. Do visit Yosemite, it is an unforgettable experience. Enjoy the peaceful nature and feel a spirit of Indians, who lived here a while ago.

This is my 3rd Vacation Home experience and this one is the best. The Arrangements, cleanliness and Location is worth describing. Patio is very big and full of all accessories. TV and Sound systems are little confusing. Over all a great deal.

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Yosemite. The house is huge and had everything we needed. Our only regret was that we didn't have enough time to spend at the house. By the time we got back each night from hiking we only had time to hit the jacuzzi tub and fall into the comfy bed. If we ever get back to the area, we'll be staying here again. The owner is great to work with and our deposit was returned promptly. You won't be dissappointed with Journey's End!

We stayed a long weekend in this fine house. There were two married couples, two teenagers and 4 single adults. Lots of room for everyone. Wonderful kitchen, lovely deck for relaxation and the rec room kept the kids busy we only saw them at meal times! We had musicians draped all over the furniture in the living room. Enjoyed the lake. Owners were very nice to deal with. Definately we are planning on staying again. Margie

I stayed at Journey's End at Pine Mountain Lake with my entire family, we had wonderful time. The place was neat with everything you need to have a wonderful time be it with your family or friends. We even took the water taxi and loved it. You are also approximately 25 miles from Yosemity National Park.
